General Hyten denies Colonel Spletstoser’s allegations of being inappropriately touched several times in 2017, and an Air Force official charged with investigating her complaint declined in June to refer General Hyten to a court-martial." And she reported it RIGHT AWAY! She has had an exemplary career with many excellent reviews from him and others!

Trump’s nominee for vice chair of Joint Chiefs of Staff, Gen John Hyten, is being accused of sexual misconduct by an army colonel, Kathryn Spletstoser: Sounds like he will fit right in. I honestly don’t know who does the vetting in this admin, but whoever that is, is doing a lousy job. I’ve always understood the vetting process to include a deep dive into the nominee’s life and career, often including the FBI whose investigations can go back as far as the age of eighteen. Nominees themselves will often hire lawyers who will do that to ensure that if there’s any dirt or anything controversial to threaten their nomination, it’s known beforehand so they can either decline the nomination or prepare a defense before their confirmation hearing.

”Why is so much money sent to the Elijah Cummings district when it is considered the worst run and most dangerous anywhere in the United States. No human being would want to live there. Where is all this money going? How much is stolen? Investigate this corrupt mess immediately!”
Sure they can investigate where the money is going just as soon as you release 20 years of tax returns and all the documentation from the Mueller investigation and honor all subpoenas to those who testified in the Mueller Investigation.

Kyle Griffin...
”According to the pool report, Trump has arrived at Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.
This is Trump's 211th day at a Trump golf club and 279th day at a Trump property as president.”
In that clip about the a/c trump says he would rather stay at the White House and work. He said he likes to work.
So if he likes to work but has to leave the White House because of the a/c then how about he goes to Camp David and work?
He really must think people are stupid.

How insulting to anyone who lives in Baltimore. And sadly, we now live in a time when the President of the United States makes personal attacks on citizens for all the world to see. When did this become normal?

But I suppose the Trump cultists would just find it hilarious.
I’m not surprised they exist, but I’m shocked there are so many of them.
And I am soooo angry that powerful Republicans continue to enable and encourage his despicable behavior.
ETA I’m referring to the Victor Blackwell CNN clip.

lizacreates you make an excellent point. Trump has a lot of power and influence, yet he doesn’t seem to use any of his power or influence for the betterment of our country. He is hell bent on finding justice for perceived wrongs against him and his family, racist tirades on a social media platform, and dividing our country into White Republicans vs. Everyone Else. If Baltimore is really the hellhole Trump claims it is, why isn’t he offering assistance, aid, financial support, administrators who can provide safe and affordable housing, or creating a committee to oversee improvements? The people who live and work in Baltimore deserve better than what Trump is giving them. This country deserves better than what Trump is giving us.

The Intelligencer ...
“Trump Tries to Think Up Crime by Obama, Comes Up With ‘Wrote Book’
“President Trump expressed irritation that House Democrats are challenging his unprecedented refusal to disclose his tax returns and even more unprecedented insistence on using his office for private gain. When Republicans controlled the House, he told reporters, they never investigated President Obama:
We want to find out what happened with the last Democrat president. Let’s look into Obama the way they looked at me from day one. They’ve looked into everything that we’ve done. They could look into the book deal that President Obama made. Let’s subpoena all of his records … Frankly, the Republicans were gentlemen, and women. When we had the majority in the House, they didn’t do subpoenas all day long.
Like many criminals, Trump believes that everybody is a crook and views demands that he follow the law as mere hypocrisy. Here he pivots immediately from his rage that he is being asked to comply with basic ethical norms — in this same interview Trump threatened to raise tariffs on French wine, a move that would benefit Trump’s own winery — to insinuations that President Obama probably committed financial crimes, too.
Trump’s claim that Republicans never investigated Obama is especially bizarre. Congress held eight separate investigations on Benghazi alone. The redundancy was deemed necessary because conservatives simply refused to accept findings that no scandal had taken place.
Trump, reaching for evidence that Obama probably did something just as unethical as Trump did, comes up with … Obama’s book. You can almost see the wheels turning in Trump’s brain as he tries to summon some damning piece of evidence about his predecessor.
He wrote a book! Is that allowed? Sure, Trump claimed to have written books, but those were all ghostwritten. He doesn’t even read books, let alone write them. “Writing books” has to be some kind of scam, right?
Perhaps sensing the book thing was not enough, Trump proceeded to blame Obama for ruining the temperature-control system in the West Wing:
And yet Trump is the one being investigated while Obama walks the streets a free man.“

I don't see dt taking any responsibility for any of the issues in his home town or offering any help. (in fact zinged NY/NJ on property taxes and the Gateway tunnel which would help the whole country) ... Oh wait he and his daddy were fined etc for discriminating against people of color attempting to rent apartment in their buildings!

He did the same thing to John Lewis a few years back, as I recall. Talked about how his district is a hellhole that he neglects in favor of causing Trump trouble. My understanding is that Congressman Lewis’s district is mixed, both economically and racially. Trump just makes it all up. He has no knowledge of what their districts look like. He just says whatever fits with his dumbass, lying narrative.

There’s no doubt he loves those racist tropes. As I mentioned on another topic, dependence on it is a very good indication of a lamebrain because they don’t require thought or introspection. All they require is a mouth. And in Trump’s case, the short fingers of a vulgarian. (Thank you, Graydon Carter.)

Paul Waldman...
”Just try to imagine the nuclear shitstorm that would have ensued if Barack Obama spent a day tweeting about how a Republican congressional district with a good number of poor white people was "rat and rodent infested" and "No human being would want to live there."
”White people would have rioted in the streets. Republicans would have immediately filed articles of impeachment. Fox would have talked about nothing else for weeks. Entire books would have been written about it.”
