DS is 5' tall and weighs 120. He is a little above average in height for his team, and probably weighs a little more than most as well but he isn't noticeably bigger than the other kids. My 9 year old, on the other hand, is taller and bigger than him and is quite a bit taller and bigger than the other kids on his team. I could see a coach needing to work with him more. DS (11yo) has been playing since 3rd grade (this is his 4th year) and doesn't mind getting hit, I think it just took him by surprise that the coach tackled him. It doesn't seem like the coach was trying to teach him how to be tackled, but I am just confused by the whole thing if this is something new. I'm not going to make a big deal of it, but am curious what the intent was.

I would be questioning the intent, also. I just wouldn't make a huge deal out of it right now.
Just curious. My son's league requires a parent or guardian be at all practices and games. Is that not everywhere?
