Hello all! We just got back from the Galapagos and my brain is already working on creating a scrapbook for the trip. I haven't been paying attention to paper lines in quite a while and know that some of you are experts in paper collections. I know Graphic45 did a "jungle" theme, but that one won't work. Does anyone have any suggestions as to paper companies/lines I should look at? I'm thinking of doing a "traditional" 12x12 album, using pocket pages for some and "traditional" full 12x12 pages for others. Will really depend upon which photos I choose and what paper I find. Thanks so much for any ideas!!

I’m not sure how to link ,but some photoplay and Ella and Viv papers popped into my mind as just generically coloured and not themey Or-could you use just card stock with mixed media and a simple pattern like dots or checks? Or choose one of those echo park plain paper colour packs that match and use tone on tone stamping to spice them up with a suitable stamp set?

One of my favorite things to do is take a favorite photo (or six) and blow it up to a 12 x 12. I love using large photos on vacation albums. I'll put a title or journaling on the photo too. Maybe a few embellishments. I have a large format printer, but I know you can get them for about $3 each. Sometimes it is cheaper than buying paper for that layout.
Kaisercraft has some beautiful beachy lines that are muted in color and gorgeous. I've done lots of layouts with their product.

I second the Kaisercraft suggestion, and when I scrapped Barbados pictures a few years ago, I found that the pictures looked best on white and cream backgrounds because they had so much color in them. Normally I'm not a neutral background kind of person - I love color - but the photos were so gorgeous that I didn't want the papers to overshadow the beautiful jungle and beach colors.
