One of my least favorite tasks about scrapbooking is putting layouts into albums. I usually put it off and put it off and put it off until I have a huge stack but I’ve waited way too long this time and now look what I’ve done! I have probably 150 layouts that need to be put in albums! 😭 Please send help. And page protectors. 🤣

Yikes! My brain will not let me have more than about half a dozen pages out of albums at any one time, and even that's a stretch. I hope you find albums/page protectors/motivation to sort it all out!

I had a 3 foot stack once so I feel your pain! I went to hobby lobby and bought their cheap house brand albums and page protectors on sale to get everything into albums.

I am WAY too OCD to handle that. I remember a prior thread about this. I think we were evenly divided about putting layouts in albums immediately or later. Anyway...I buy my WRMK albums on JoAnn's website when they are on sale. I'll buy a bunch at a time. I buy the page protectors on Amazon in boxes of 50. Actually, they have a 100 pack for $31.26 right now. link

I usually do this so I feel your pain! First I divide up the layouts into categories that I use (family, me, each of my kids, dh) then I just start sorting them into albums. I use the PL albums and I've been ok with their quality. I also grab big packs of WRMK page protectors on Amazon or zulily.

My favorite albums that are still selling are Doodlebug albums. I just like the quality of their albums. I know they have 12x12 what I don’t know is if they have them with non pocket page protectors.
I have2 & have made then given 2 of their 8x8 albums and I just like them. I love the colors, I love the stitching, & I love the little window on the front.
Have a page putting in party and invite the peas have some snacks and put the pages into albums!

Thrift stores! See if you have any good local ones; they often have scrapbook albums donated, or at least around here it's really easy to find 1-5 almost every time. Sometimes they even come with decent page protectors and blank inserts.

I bought 23 albums a few years ago and now those are starting to dwindle. I have found some good ones at Tuesday Morning. I like the 3 ring WRMK types.

My local Ross currently has K & Co. 12x12 three ring albums for $5.99 each.

I do the same thing! But not quite that big of a stack, lol! Check JoAnns if you use WRMK albums. I can often find them at 40-60% off and then order a bunch.
I will say this though, I friend of mine had a house fire and the ONLY thing that saved her layouts was the fact that they were in albums in page protectors. Pretty much everything else was a loss.

Good luck getting your layouts into albums...I have a stack about 1/3 of that height and it's intimidating.
FWIW, I buy Creative Memories albums and protectors. Love that they are consistent and I don't want binder rings in my 12x12 albums. Not the cheapest option, but I'm very pleased with their quality.

Wow, you are quite prolific! How amazing that you have that many layouts you've made recently!
I have to say I'm coming from the other end of the spectrum. These days, I don't really scrapbook anymore (except for one-off presents for people), yet the thing I've had the hardest time getting rid of is all my albums and page protectors, because they're so darn expensive! I don't want to get rid of them and then regret it a few years later.

That looks like one beautiful stack of layouts! I am way too slow to accumulate a pile like that. Usually my layouts go right into albums so that I can begin to flip through them immediately. Right now I am working on a travel album, and want the album to flow in order with my journaling which was done as emails home everyday, so I need to be mindful of the order in which I am putting things together. I have not been disciplined with scrapping the photos in order, so having the album together has helped to keep things at least somewhat organized.

I am working on 2002 and 2019. My 2019 layouts go right into the current album and my 2002 layouts (25 double pages) get done and tossed into a pile. When I finish them all, they get put into chronological order. Since I am doing two books (two kids), I will have 100 pages to put in those two albums.

I have a lot of motivation to get mine into albums right away. It’s the fear of my demolition squad cats thinking that cool embellishments = cool cat toys.

My layouts typically make their way into albums about 10 minutes after I get home. I have a friend who uses a holding album until she gets everything done to put them in their permanent album.

I like wmrk. I have bought the hobby lobby brand but they dont hold up very well. I dont have a jo Ann's. Sometimes Amazon has wmrk on sale. Also scrapbooking steals and scrapbook.com. Not now. I need to order some soon so I've been looking, too. Isn't it interesting how differently we all work on our pages. I have my albums open while I work and put them in the page protecter as soon as I finish. I normally have at least 11 unfinished albums that I'm working in. (11 grands) I started out that method and have continued 20 years. I'm pretty sure I would scrap a lot of pics 2x in one album if I couldn't go back and look at what I've already done. Hope you're making progress on finding some albums.

I buy the albums and the page protectors but my stack looks like that or taller before they get into an album. At least you need to buy them, so you have an excuse.

I was at Michaels today and saw that they have their albums Buy One/Get One Free. Their faux leather (WRMK look alikes) are $31. I just got two navy ones.

@elaynef We are the same - I have 5 albums going at any one time. One for each of my 2 grands, ours, our DD's (no kids), and a hockey album for grandson. He requested a separate album.
I only use the WRMK albums. I did just buy 6 from J's.
