He gave a good acceptance speech imho. Years ago I liked him then he became the bumbling buffoon. I sincerely am a little hopeful after this speech. However, It doesn’t really matter what I feel, he’s it no matter what!

Good luck, UK folks. We, too, elected a bloviating, lying, bigoted egomaniac. It uh, doesn't go well.
I'm sorry.

He`s in by default, voted in by his own party not the public. The sooner we have an election the better. Though to be honest I don`t think there is a great choice of candidates for any party at the moment.

I'm sorry. I know Boris can be a bit of a buffoon at times but he is in no way shape or form comparable to Trump. He is a very clever ( as in he's got brains) person and does have political past experience so he's not an idiot attempting to run the country.

I really can’t take much more! Waste of time IMO. The only reason some are calling for an election is that they think that Labour or the Lib Dems have a chance . It's a back door way to reverse the results of the referendum IMO as neither party think we should leave. I don't think Britain is ready for the Corbyn brigade either and hopefully never will be. Having a general election doesn't necessarily change the leader of the winning party. So we could still be left with Boris whether we like him or not.

I think Boris would stay, election or not. We need to get Brexit out of the way and move forward before there are any more major changes.
Jeremy who?? 🤣

As a complete aside, I noticed Jeremy had his wife sitting beside him but I didn't see Boris's girlfriend? His father, sister and brother were sitting behind him.
Was she there?

Apparently not...nor was his wife Clearly not paying attention, is he not divorced? I don't think so yet. They have been separated for quite some time though. I didn't really expected his girlfriend to be there as she doesn't take much part in his political life.It isn't very often you see them together officially.

We’re on holiday (left Austria this morning, now in Prague). I think we might stay... 😉
Seriously though, there are no good choices in British politics right now in any party & I think the days of non-coalition government are behind us for now. The only redeeming factor to Boris being in is that he’s largely to blame for Brexit so he might as well have a go at it. I’ll be over here waiting for my share of that £350million a week he promised us.

Wow, he even has a physical resemblance to Trump. He even had dual citizenship, UK and American, until recently. He renounced his American citizenship in 2016. He was born in Manhatten.
