I love foiling and use my Minc fairly regularly but I'm having mixed results. Sometimes the foiling comes out awesome and other times, not so much. I have read that it's not only the printer/toner, but the paper you use matters as well! Go figure! I thought that regular Neenah or white Recollections cardstock would be fine but turns out that may not be the case. I've seen recommendations for two different papers: 1. Georgia Pacific Bright 110lb cardstock and 2. Hammermill Premium Color Copy Paper (80lb). Sadly these are not readily available in Canada... but I'm heading to the US next week for vacation and was planning on picking up both of them! Then I saw someone post something about the Georgia Pacific not being so good so I thought I would ask here first to see what everyone uses for foiling. What cardstock gives you the best results with foiling? I'm also curious if the cardstock matters when using the WRMK Foil Quill because although I have it, I have yet to use it! So if I'm going to be picking up cardstock while I'm away, I might as well make sure I get the stuff that works best for both!

Hmmm, I have had pretty good results with 110lb Recollections and Neenah Solar White... You mentioned that the two you listed were not available in Canada? I found this one that would ship to you: Mind you, it is larger sheets that you would cut down but amazing value!! Hammermill Premium Colour Copy 80lb 40.75 CAD$ And this one looks slightly different: www.amazon.ca/Hammermill-Printer-Digital-Letter-Bright/dp/B000J0C47S"]Hamermill 31.39 CAD$ I'll be curious to hear your results with whatever you choose ... I am in Canada too so understand the woes of not always finding what everyone is raving about ... or having to pay customs/duties and exorbitant shipping costs!!

Thanks cardsbycara . My results with Neenah and the 65lb Recollections are mixed. Some are good, some not so much. I was having so many problems getting good results, which was mostly because I was using a knock-off toner in my laser printer, and in the midst of researching why my results were so poor, I discovered that the brand of cardstock/paper is HUGE! Kerri Bradford swears by the Hammermill brand, while many others said that Georgia Pacific is their cardstock of choice. I discovered just yesterday that I can get the Hammermill shipped from Wal-Mart (Canada) for about $35 CDN. I would absolutely jump on this or the Amazon one you posted a link to, but as I mentioned in my original post, I'm heading down to the US next week on vacation and will pick up some while I'm there. Chances are I will get both because the Georgia Pacific one is dirt cheap so why not! Hammermill is about $20 US. In the meantime, I'd love to hear what others think on this. I will post a review on these two brands when I'm back in my craft room, which won't be until close to the end of August!
