Random comment: The Bad Seed is such a fun book to read aloud! There are two additional books - The Good Egg (I just bought this one) and The Cool Bean (upcoming release date). 📚❤️

To the Pea who sent me the three-hole punch... thank you! It arrived today without a slip so I couldn’t send a thank you. ♥️ I also received an awesome science book! Thank you! I sent a note through Amazon. I downloaded a free QR code reader and I’ve been sending thank you notes through Amazon... works great!

ihaveonly1l first off, when I was talking with my kids about sending you the Food Fight book, they got excited, started reciting it and sharing their favorite parts, what they didn’t understand at the time... we pulled out the book and had so much fun with it! And they are 21, 19 and 14! Also the Bad Seed book you chose, hah this is going to make you think of the peas every time you read it to your class! 😂 Review: “A fun story about a baaaaaddddd seeeeeeeed. He does all the things that toddlers and preschoolers know are the "absolute naughtiest things ever," such as not returning your shopping cart to the cart corral and being late. Its a fun read, but more sensitive children and parents may take offense to the part where a man eats the bad seed's enitre family out of a bag of sunflower seeds.” I read it right away and I love it! My students will love it! Dang carts!

I unpacked the box of stools today - and they look so good in my classroom! I'm overwhelmed by your generosity and kindness. Thank you isn't enough, Flanz. Cindy I'm so glad they've arrived and that you like them! The bright colors would have been more fun, but at least these are functional. I am very happy and it's an honor to be able to help out some fab pea teachers! <3

First time poster here (long time lurker). Did a little shopping from everyone's list in memory of my cousin Trish the Fish who was a special ed teacher that lost her short battle with breast cancer in April. She would have loved this (and so do I). Thank you so much for the clipboards! Today was the first day of school. I can't wait to share your act of kindness with my students the first time that we use them. I am so sorry that you lost your cousin to such a horrible disease. I will keep you both close to my heart. Also, you need to come out of lurkdom so that we can get to know you better! Cindy

I received a wonderful package of Ticonderoga pencils yesterday from Ilene! Yay! These are the only pencils that sharpen well and last. Thank you so much, Ilene, for your gift! You are welcome! I love, love old school wooden pencils!

Thats really weird. If it isn't possible, I understand. I really appreciate you trying to help me out though. Cindy Did you take your list down? I finally had a chance to try to figure out the shipping and I’m getting an error message saying the list can’t be found. I want you to have your clipboards! Basket1lady - I received the clipboards and they are awesome! My students will love being able to spread out and get comfy on the carpet to do their writing lessons. We are talking about kindness this week (today was the first day of school). I can't wait to tell them about the kindness of the Peas. Thank you so much! Cindy

I really should read thread titlescompletely and more carefully, I thought this was a thread asking pea teachers for help and finally came in when it reached 14 pages wondering what all the drama could be about. What a wonderful idea christine58, thank you for taking the time to do this. Off to check out the lists!

I haven't been on here in a while due to crazy busy work stuff going on. But what a joy it is to see and read this thread!!! As a long time Pea and mom of DD who just started this week her first year teaching (kindergarten), I have definitely come to understand exactly what teachers have to spend out of their own pockets. This thread was a wonderful idea. Thanks to all the teacher Peas out there-- you are doing a selfless and tremendous service to so many.

Thank you thank you to all who sent me items for my classroom! I went in and unpacked it all and made sure to paperxlip all the notes from Amazon which I left right on my reading table! So until I go back I can’t thank you all individually, but I will!
Thank you so so much-my team was amazed at the items and we already discussed what we will share and specific students coming in who we know will need flexible seating options.
Thank you so much!!!

I received markers, crayons, glue sticks, and books this week. I’ve sent an individual thank you to each person.
Just to let you know what we do beside teach, here’s a couple of things that came up today.
One students mom passed away after a C-section two weeks before school started. His grandmother asked me to keep an eye on how much he eats at lunch. She’s noticed him not eating at home.
A boys mom called to let me know he just received a diagnosis of autism and adhd. She needs me to monitor him as he begins taking medication and let her know of any changes I observe.
I love these kids so much!

I hope that the boy with Autism will receive more services than just a gen ed classroom. If not, please do not hesitate to contact me about educating children with Autism (I have 2 boys with autism who each started school in special ed at 3 y.o., and I am a psychologist), or post to the board asking for input from all the moms of children with Autism that we have here.

There are a few bad apples, but the vast majority of teachers LOVE their students and go the proverbial extra mile over and over and over again!

Yes, we have many services for special education in our school. This child just received the diagnosis yesterday and we are setting up his IEP meeting for the first of next week. He is extremely high functioning. In fact, I was very surprised by the diagnosis. His psychiatrist did not recommend any accommodations for autism, just some for the ADHD.

I received a stick vacuum from a mystery giver. My students sit on a rug for library class and you would not believe the mess they leave behind. Now I can do a mid-day pickup!

I want to thank the mystery peas who sent me the division learning wrap ups and two new dictionaries. There division wrap ups had a note but not name with it. The dictionaries arrived without anything. I’m so happy to be adding the dictionaries to my reference shelf. They look so nice! I found out I’m probably getting a class of 30. It’s been a couple years since I’ve had a group that big. All the new supplies are so helpful. I 💜 the peas!
