All the album threads reminded me that I said when I ran out of room on the shelf that fits 12 by 12 albums, I'd switch sizes. I'm maybe a year (2 albums) from running out of space so... 8 by 8 is too small 8.5 by 11 is too rectangular 12 by 12 doesn't fit on a regular bookcase... Anyone up on trends and know if 10 by 10 is the wave of the future? PS. I was at my localishcraft store and the Doodlebug 12 by 12 albums were on sale for $40. On sale. WRMK were not much better. Album prices are another reason I'm thinking of switching sizes...

Wasn't the 10x10 size a Becky Higgins thing? If it was I'd say you are out of luck and she appears to have stopped producing any physical product. If I am wrong then hopefully another pea will let us know. I know you can buy albums at Scrapbook.com for a lot less than $40. Also, have you checked Amazon?

I use the Ikea Kallax shelves and they are great at holding 12x12 albums, they are pretty, and they are super affordable. They have "cubbies" and each cubby comfortably holds 4 12x12 albums. So if you create 2 albums per year (same as me) even the smallest Kallax shelf (which I think is $39) would hold 8 years worth!

I could build a new bookcase, but I'd have to put it somewhere... we have a Kallax (the 4 by 4) for my DH's hobby, if I bought one for my albums he'd probably start filling it with his stuff I've been using the AC D-ring and buying them online from J's (usually $12 each) but they only seem to have red or green now... which was why I was looking elsewhere to see what was available. Doodlebug doesn't seem to come in navy which is the color I'm thinking of (after 12 years of AC brown). I still have a little space, maybe I'll delay making a change a little longer... BH does sell 10 by 10 but only in black then I'd be stuck if she stopped making them... I want 10 by 10 to become a trend so I can stock up for a decade

I know everyone says not to, but the pages droop and get messed up standing. ( this is after 20 years for some of them. I use wmrk albums) Maybe my page protectors are too thin and cheap, but that's been my experience.

I believe I remember reading that We R Memory Keepers will make any size as long as you order at least a certain quantity. I don’t remember what the certain quantity is, but it might be worth reaching out to their customer service department. I think I originally read this on a thread on here about wanting 10x10 albums - if I can find it, I’ll link it here.

So glad I saw this because I am moving everything to 12x12 size as it's just more economical for me with all the page protectors that I have and for layering all the sizes in 1 album. I'm going to grab 2 of these bookcases!
