What scrappyness do we have this month....
Well next weekend is our annual get together looking forward to that. Its just the 3 of us and really we see each other a lot, but we set aside that weekend for a scrappy weekend , I think its year 4.
I ordered from Scrapbook.com the other day and they have reduced their shipping to Canada so that could be good..or not pending my pocket book situation...
My LSS annual yardsale is at the end of the month I have signed up again. I have some stuff to purge.
I ordered a lot of the Tim Holtz christmas dies release. Oh my did I ever.
I signed up to a FB group which loves Lawn Fawn birthday club...so each month you send bday cards to members...don't have to send to everyone but be a great way to use up some cards and scraps and what have you. plus get me creating.
I haven't been too creative lately...just to hot.
This weekend is a long weekend and my DH is probably working some of it. Or parts of the day at least I am going to enjoy my craft room. I have some new product to process . as in put in my storage pockets and cut up magnet sheets for dies etc. I also need to make some Lawn Fawn product birthday cards.
OH and really exciting news I was a member of a Canadian board for a few years before it went defunk and there was a lady that we chatted all the time, we have been friends for I'd say 13 years..well we finally get to meet in two weeks. Her son is playing in the national rugby tournament and its in my province...two hrs from me but I am driving there on her last day and I got a hotel room . We are going to go to the scrappy store there and have dinner etc..Really looking forward to it.
I think that is about it for now. I hope everyone is getting creative ..

Today my crafty group of friends and I scheduled/registered for our next two scrap retreats. One in November 2019 and one in July 2020. There should be no reason that I don't have my page kits in order when the time comes! (Famous last words.)

I’m still plugging along in my photo journal. I just completed July so I’ve done 7 months! I couldn’t keep up with the 1sec everyday videos but keeping this has been easy peasy.
I’m unrealistically proud of myself LOL
I’m still in the middle of my May travel pages as well. I might just plop my weekend excursions ( with my sister) in the same album, not sure yet.

My order from the Elizabeth Crafts sale arrived today: Christmas dies and critter dies. They are really cute, but lots of pieces per image. Thinking I may have to do a batch cutting/assembling before actually making the cards.
Don't think that will happen in August, though. Lots of photos to scrap from June and July and some more to be taken this weekend.
Plan to stop in at the LSS on Tuesday. Hopefully the SS camping line will be in by then. Got lots of camping to scrap.

Not scrappy, but nicolejones911 got me to dig out the diamond painting I barely started last summer and get it done...now i've placed my first order it 5 days short of 2 years on Ali for 2 more...and am wanting to order more drill pens to make the clay surrounds for them that she has done for hers. I also got a fancier tool kit with a light pad just as I was on the last hour or two on the painting a few days ago. I've gone down a rabbit hole...I can't do anything half assed...it's all or nothing. Sadly, this is reminiscent of all things in my life...not just my creative choices.
I wish I had ordered another one during the countless hours I had spent searching (all while the one I had sat and sat and sat) so I had another to jump right into. With school starting in 11 days and having uninterrupted quiet time starting in September (I thought my husband's vacation hours rolled to sick...nope, they are use it or lose it, so he's taking off almost the entire month of August before they expire on the 31st...not much quiet time for me, but lots of date days and time to work around the house without kids in the way coming up), I want to find things that I look forward to doing that aren't hard for me to set aside. I've had 5 or 6 books I want to read (ex-library books are what i typically buy) in my ebay cart since early May, but I can't put a book down once I'm sucked in so I haven't bought them. I don't like to read unless I know I can dedicate all my time to it until it's done (sleep? what's that?) so I haven't purchased them, yet. Diamond painting is enjoyable and also something that I can walk away from whenever I need to.

I have a crop next weekend I am thinking about skipping. I just got back from CKC this week and have bags of stuff that hasn't been put away. I have quite a few photos I've had printed and am eager to scrap but I am leaving for California a few days after that crop. That will mean more photos!
As for shopping, I have finally conceded that my Stampin Up trimmer is cutting crooked and I need a new trimmer. So I see a trip to Joann or Michaels before my next crop.
August also includes my son and is family moving just a few miles away, and back to school for him and my DH, both teachers. I think August is just going to be lots of photos but no scrapping until September.

I got so much accomplished tonight. DH went out with his friend unexpectedly I was sitting on couch , nothing was on thought oh I will watch something on Netflix then it dawned on me I have Netflix in scraproom.
So two or so hours later I cleaned up my desk , processed new stuff , fiddled with a couple of things. But got the un-fun stuff done so leaves weekend for me

I picked up my drawer organizers from the container store and sorted my scraps. Or at least the big ones & teeny ones.
Anything 4x6 or 3x4 went with the few cards I have. Even the patterned paper ones.
I’m half done sorting my scraps.
I’m running some things thru the side kick for my planner. ( emojis, weather symbols, arrows, tabs, etc. so I have them ready for my planner. Those are just plopped unsorted in a tiny really useful box, which is ok for now. I’m not so sure that going forward that’s the best place for them, but I’m not sure how to sort all these teeny die cuts. I’ll have to think about that.
Well, scratch all that about the organizing, the next size tray isn’t the dimensions stated. Then the 6x9 box is only 5 1/2x8 3/4 I can’t use that if it’s not 6”
Ugh now I have to bring it all back

Not scrappy but crafty, I finally picked up my cross stitch pattern yesterday. It seems to sit for a month or more between stitches. Maybe I'll do some more today too.

I’m picking up a white 2x2 kallax late this afternoon. I’ve been seriously considering getting a couple as part of redoing my scrap room. This will be the test to see if I actually want what I think I want. It’s supposed to rain tomorrow so I hope to get it put together and stuffed full to overflowing then!

Holy cow it's August!
I've been working on finishing up last school year's photos in the kids albums, so that I start fresh in September with this school year.
I need to order July photos still.
I really should tidy up my desk area. It's covered in scraps and bits from the past few layouts.
I have a list of supplies I need to buy, but they are boring and I don't wanna spend fun money on them! Page protectors and liquid glue are on the list.

I have a scrap retreat coming up at the end of the month that I’m super excited about. It’s been forever since I printed photos. I just got my order from Snapfish, 600+ photos! I really need to stay on top of photo ordering in the future. Waiting to get a scrapbook.com order delivered. I can’t wait to see all my new stuff.

I’m working on Sketchtember layouts...trying to have them all done before the first of the month. I’m stuck with how to embellish a two page layout but have a Peachy Cheap order arriving today so maybe that will help. I bought some Doodlebug stuff on clearance yesterday so I need to get pictures printed from my dgd’s farm field trip. I will probably do a photo order today.

It's been a really busy summer so I've barely scrapbooked, but I have purchased several of the type of albums I like and more page protectors again of my favorite configurations since I really think with companies like BH stopping production I'm kinda afraid my favorite products might disappear. I am far from being a doom and gloom person so I am really only stockpiling a few albums and some extra protectors.

Not much for me lately except for a little online shopping. Planning on placing a photo order today, I have a serious backlog of photos that need to be printed! Trying to decide if I should bother starting (yup I said start 😳) a PL album for 2019. I would just do a monthly thing so really I'm only 8 months behind. Or I could just wait and just do one for 2020 and be early! 🤪

Other than shopping sales for supplies i made a mickey shaker card for a birthday present and made 2 signatures for my mixed media class next week. They haven’t stated the topic of the class so I am assuming we will continue where we left off in April. My sister gave me a pile of magazines and pads of various office supply papers I can use for journals. I also picked up some journal refills at Js 50% off clearance sale this weekend.
After I finish ironing today, I plan to start die cutting tiny coffin shaped treat boxes for my coworkers for Halloween. I can slowly work at gluing the little buggers together at night while watching tv. I will fill them with candy skulls and bones. I made them tiny fall patterned candy bags trimmed in tiny die cut leaves with chocolates inside for welcome back treats last year. They are the only people I have to make things for, and they seem to really enjoy the tiny surprises.

I am not doing much today. Exhausted from the past couple of weeks. Enjoying the quiet house, but not feeling much like moving. First tasks I have are to unpack from last weekend's crop (today or tomorrow) and print a ton of photos (hope to do that on Tuesday at WalMart). Picking up the last of the freebies from the crop on Tuesday as well and a couple of pre orders from the LSS.
Now if the shoemaker's elves could just come in here, put everything away and sort the photos and supplies (oh and deal with the veggies that want to be picked in the garden) while I sleep for a couple more days, that would be AWESOME!!!
