Well, damn it. I am so sorry.
All I can add is DH was given 1 year to live, 12 years ago. I know you don't have the same kinds of cancer, but please don't give up. The medical advances in oncology are happening almost daily. DH has benefited when new drugs become available. He also participated in a clinical trial. He has metastases in multiple organs and his bones. And still, his quality of life is very good.
You and your DH are in my prayers.

May I ask if his bone mets have diminished and has he had treatment for bone met specifically because they knew what type of cancer that metastasized? I'm trying to gather real-life information. TIA
Sorry CK that you are going through this. Keep up hope as there are new therapies being developed. We will listen to you, whatever your fears, hopes and dreams are. Love to you.

He has renal cell cancer (kidney cancer). He has had a reduction in his bone mets on Cabometyx. It is not used specifically for his bone mets, rather to inhibit the growth of his cancer. He has been stable for about 18 months. Best wishes to your mother as she deals with her diagnosis.

Hi, craftykitten, I haven't been on much lately and hadn't seen your posts about your battle. I'm very sorry, it's just so hard to have your life turned upside down by a diagnosis. I want to tell you that I have watched my dad battle brain cancer for more than 4 1/2 years, and the things his treatments (surgery, chemox2, radiationx2) have been able to do for him are absolutely remarkable. I know every cancer is different, but I want to tell you there is so much more hope than you may think, and if your doc is optimistic, that says a lot. I'm wishing you the very, very best.
