So I’m done with all purchases and ready for December. I skipped Ali Edwards’s release (I did pick up the stamp trio on HSN)and Felicity Jane completely... I got Elle’s Studio and a large order of the new Pretty Little Studio. Still waiting on PLS but I think a few things said preorder for October 18 so I’m sure it will be here next week. I also picked up the large Fifth Avenue number stamps but I’ll use those year round so I don’t count them. ETA: I remembered I had the 6x8 album from FJ from two years ago, so I decided to use it this year.

I bought a sampling of the FJ stuff. I wasn’t in love with the Noël release but I really wanted some of the Rebekah stuff. From Noël, I got the girl stamp, the chipboard flair, the photo corners, puffy alphabet stickers, and tiny tags. From Rebekah, I got the girl stamp, 6x6 paper pack, the leopard TN insert, vellum hearts, and tiny tags. I also got some of the Joy kit—mini star clips and die cut shapes. I wanted that girl stamp but it was sold out. I added some additional photo corners and puffy alphabets from some of the older collections too. I bought more than I should have and definitely more than I needed but this is my first FJ order so I wanted to get a bunch of small items to see what I like.

What kind of page protectors can one add to an FJ album? The 6x8?
Of course I decided on the B/W KellyP kit and it’s sold out. Not that I have a lack of stash or other options ... she who hesitates and all that. Drat!

Oh please, please share where that gnome cookie cutter is from? I have a wee obsession with gnomes. Pottery Barn is selling gnome sheets and pillow covers, which I bought and plan on making a DD entry about. I found him on Amazon, here's the link: Stadter Cookie Cutter. Though it looks like the link now sends to the UK Amazon. The other gnome thing I'm loving this year is this pillow from World Market, found here: linkThose tomte gnomes are everywhere this year! I just happened to be in Home Goods a few days ago and they are clearly the motif of the season. If you can't get enough, I recommend a look-see.

The page protectors from AE do fit the ring system of FJ, however, the FJ page protectors are larger all around than AE. I thought I was losing my mind. I had to add 1/4" strip of paper to all the 4x6 cards or they would slip out of the pockets. If I used her albums again, I'd just replace all her protectors with AE ones.

Thank you so much! I might make a batch of gnome cookies for Christmas. I've wanted to try out royal icing for quite awhile, this is a perfect excuse!

I am sad that there probably won't be a Marie Lottermoser calendar this year. She hasn't posted anything in over a year. I hope everything is well for her and her family she was always so kind and made the most amazing albums (Christmas, Harry Potter, Travel) loved them all! Wow, her albums are GORGEOUS!! I think I'm going to spend my day looking through her past albums!

I’m feeling so grinchy this year. There seems to be so much DD chatter on Insta and the Facebook group and I am normal totally into it, but my order was so late leaving that it’s not even in my country yet! I’m a little annoyed since I ordered so quickly on the first day and didn’t add anything the whole month. Blah. I haven’t even worked on any new free cutfiles for this year, is there anything that you guys are looking for? (You can find my past ones at paperandspool.com) I love your cut files!!

To those wanting the December Details B&W kit: KP confirmed on Instagram it was coming as a digital. Not sure if it'll be the entire kit or select items from it but let's wait and see what pops up on the 28th.

I'm going to do my Christmas Count Down again this year for my kids. Each scroll had a coupon or ticket like 20 mins of extra TV time. I think I could make them all extra Xbox time and my kids would be in heaven. You can't see from the picture but I think I had two scrolls attached to each number, one for each kid and then I had their name at the top, so there was no fighting. I alternated what they were getting, so they both didn't get the same thing on the same day. I also tailored them to their different interests. They liked it a lot! I kept the tags, so I don't need to make them again, just the scrolls www.studiocalico.com/galleries/208617-december-count-downThe numbers are a Kerri Bradford stamp Love this! I was thinking of doing a DIY as well. I’m going to buy some muslin bags and decorate them and put things inside.

Maybe you guys can help. My daughter knows now the elf isn’t real. I want to give her all of his stuff (he has quite the wardrobe now and many accessories I’ve made over the years).
Any suggestions?

An elf advent calendar in which you give away an outfit/piece of an outfit + write down a memory attached to that item per day? It would be a sweet walk down memory lane all the way down to Christmas Day when she gets the actual elf.

Something red or green.
