I'm looking online at the Field Trip paper pad and it's $17.49 at scrapbook.com + $10.49 shipping... ACOT is only selling the single sheets. I could wait for it to show up at Tuesday Morning I guess... but that could take years Not that I need more paper. This line appeals to me for some reason...

I was in a large J’s a couple of days ago and saw this line there. They had the 12x12 pad & several packages of embellished. It’s a great design.

I thought Joann only had Sparkle City. I haven't seen anything from Shimelle about Field Trip showing up in store. We had been speculating that they might carry a paper pad or project pad, based on some guarded comments from Shimelle, but for now Joann was going to continue carrying the open stock Sparkle City and embellishments in their "Designer Destination."

Shimelle said Js wouldn't be getting Field Trip. They were only going to have Sparkle City.

I wonder why they only picked up the one line. Maybe they wanted to see if it was a big enough money maker?

I wonder why they only picked up the one line. Maybe they wanted to see if it was a big enough money maker? I thought it might be partly because Field Trip isn't a full collection. The 2 CHA (or whatever they call it now) collections are the big ones and this one is much smaller (in part, someone said, because shops want to save space for all the holiday collections). I don't really get it though - they don't even have the full Sparkle City line - only about half of the papers, I think - so you'd think they could accommodate a smaller collection. But I guess they didn't want to sell through/clearance the collections as often as they come out. Maybe big box shoppers don't like the turnover - I know I like to be able to get more of a specific paper I liked when I go back to the store a few months later. (I really don't understand J's at all, so who knows?)

Aww man... The localish craft store doesn't sell a lot of AC brands (except Heidi Swapp for some reason) and if J's isn't going to have it then where is anyone supposed to buy any of it? Maybe thinking $27 for a paper pad is too much is just me being cheap.
Weird.

Hey guys I found a seller on Ebay that has the 12x12 paper pad on sale for $21.43 plus free shipping in case anyone is interested? I'm not affiliated with this seller or getting any commission. I think it's a nice collection unfortunately I don't have use for it as I have no kids yet and I'm hesitating if I should buy it for myself to scrap the times I went to the Natural Museum of History with my husband?? Here's the link
