I generally use my own personal feelings and thoughts on if I buy from a company that is being sued or is doing the suing, in situations such as blatant theft and all round crappy behaviour I would morally and financially boycott said company. I have not actually looked into the whole sizzix case and to be fair I don't buy dies that much anymore however the misti thing......her behaviour alone over the years and online bullying is enough to make me boycott every single thing she ever attaches her name to for forever. I am in Australia and the misti is $139 here and the Tim Holtz for Tonic one for the same size is $56.......I know which one I would be buying.

I bought quite a bit from SU at one stage but haven't for years. I do like SU's dimensionals though so may need to buy some more when mine run out. Why do you prefer SU over any other brand you can buy local? Well maybe you don't have as much local as in the states, but I am just wondering if I am missing something? I use SU dimensionals and 3M foam tape. I like both, but I love that the SU dimensionals are just a little thinner. I love their height the best But when I mass produce cards or pop up a larger item, I prefer my foam tape.

Rather than getting embroiled in all the legal issues, I base my decisions and choices on the behavior of the owners. I refuse to buy anything from people who bully, threaten, or otherwise try to suppress others from sharing ideas and information. The same goes for people who are just plain mean. I will still buy Sizzix products, and I love my Cricut; but I will never buy anything from MSP or Donna Downey. There are others whom I've stopped following on all media for similar reasons. One of the few things I can control completely in my life is what I do regarding my hobbies, and I enjoy wielding that power. As consumers, we have the power of the wallet. If we stop buying, they will feel it.

I know about MSP's BS and refuse to buy a thing from her. I don't buy from Stampin Up! either, but that's because I will never support an MLM - I don't look at Close To My Heart products for the same reason. I'm fully on Tim Holtz's side though and do purchase his products. He has great stuff and I've never heard a bad thing about him as a person. He doesn't deserve to get screwed over.
I was unaware of the Sizzix suit until I found this thread, and after reading a bit about it, I don't feel any need to boycott the companies they are suing. However... it's made a bit leery of supporting Sizzix! Though I don't think I've really bought much from them anyway, so that's an easy company for me to avoid.

I have never bought the pink MSP product, and purposefully purchased a second TH platform just a few weeks ago because I wanted to support his business.
I tend to support the companies being sued.
I am a big Heartfelt Creations fan as well, long time stamper with their products back to when they made stamps to match Spellbinders dies.
At one time I joined Stephanie Bernard's club and continued for about a year, but her style isn't consistently what I like. What is interesting is she was one of their designers before she branched off?

Like you, I am a long time stamper, and have some of their stamps that matched Spellbinder dies. It certainly sounded as though Stephanie Bernard was associated with Sizzix at one tome, and she still offers a lot of Sizzix products on her site. I can’t help wondering why Sizzix is suing her, and why she still sells Sizzix products on her site since they are suing her.

There’s a story ( rumor ) behind what they did to some of their designers and it’s awkward as hell from the outside so I can’t imagine how it is from the inside. As for selling product, once you’ve bought them wholesale & paid for them there’s not much else you can do with them but sell them.

Stephanie Barnard Maybe they own the right to these designs, but really what's the point Sizzix?

Perhaps there is a total disconnect between the CEO (who I suspect may be the driving force behind the lawsuits), and those in charge of their product line. I agree that Stephanie Barnard has to try to sell the Sizzix inventory she has rather than be stuck with it, but it’s got to be a miserable situation to be in.

Yes, if she worked for them, and she did that particular work for them, then they own some part of the the designs she turned in. She’s too professional to come ‘dish’ here about it. ( not that I even know her lol but she seems professional ) .

When I saw Stephanie at a scrapbooking convention in May, she was telling people that her Sizzix branded products were limited to inventory on hand and, once they were gone, there would be no restocking. That's probably why you still see them on her website.
Yes, I am supporting the stamp companies being sued, particularly Avery Elle and Hero Arts. I don't have any products from Heartfelt Creations but, if they were my style, I would be supporting them, too. I can't even imagine the legal costs for these small companies. I hope it doesn't force them out of business. I wonder why they in particular were targeted by Sizzix?
I don't like bullies so I will not buy anything from Sizzix or MSP. Sorry, Tim, I'll buy your stamps but not your dies. And when my Vagabond bites the dust, I'll buy a Gemini Jr.

The only company I am *actively* boycotting because of lawsuits is Misti. Same.
