OMG...I am so glad to hear this. I know I had brought up Moffitt a few months ago and you had said you weren't able to get him in there due to insurance issues. If at all possible, you may want to get previous imaging studies and reports on disk to bring with you. It might also be a good idea to print out hard copies of the reports at least. I have had situations in the past where patients brought previous studies on disks and we couldn't open/view them because of software issues or other tech problems. Hope your experience there is a positive one and you are able to get some better guidance and treatment than you have in the past.

Kudos for being so tenacious! Your DH must be amazed by all that you do for him, especially when you have many medical issues yourself! And UGH, I'm so sorry he was prescribed incorrectly----how scary! So glad you caught it before something more serious happened! I'm sending up lotsa prayers for you and your DH! (( hugs ))

DH spoke with Moffitt to set his info up and then he handed the phone to me. I have a list of his doctors who have taken tests and images, so I'm on it. His Oncologist here (ugh) did do complete CT scans back in January, so I'm trying to get them on disks to bring with us. Other than that, I'll type up all of his doctors, tests, dates, etc., for them to see. Thank you!

(( hugs )) Thanks--that's a nice way to put it! DH refers to me as his personal nurse/tiger. There ARE times where he wants me to shut it off though (like when I'm urging him to eat healthier, get normal sleep, etc.........). LOL. I can only try!!
Thank you for the prayers for both of us! I'll take it! On top of that, DD31 has been suicidal for 9 months now (bipolar), and I've been working with her psych team to try new meds...... She's been on the forefront of our worries for a while, but when I'm bedridden in pain, that sets us all back......... I pray I can get DH's info all in order and at least find out what we can this month before my surgery. It's a lot!! xo

I'm sure this is really hard for you to communicate with her team when you're not feeling well. Do you have a good device (laptop, iPad, talk to text device, etc. that you have available to make communication easier? I know it is costly, but maybe a good investment for communication with all of your family. Just a thought. I wish you great memories.

I do have an older iPad that DS29 bought for me so that we could Facetime since he moved away. However, DD's psych clinic only accepts phonecalls and there's really no one to counsel her (or help me regarding her) via phone. They suggest we call a hotline # they gave us. They only want to see her when she's due for her regular monthly appointment. She's going in 2 weeks, so I'll fill them in (I go in with her). Thank you for the suggestions!!

I've had patients show up with actual binders with tabbed separators and things in page protectors going back several years. I've also had patients show up and tell me they have had previous findings on mammograms, subsequent ultrasounds, and maybe a biopsy. They cannot remember the name of facility/facilities but it may have been in Texas. lol...this isn't helpful.

That's me--I have binders with his info, separated by his Urologists/Oncologist/Primary/Radiologist/Cardiologist info. My only downfall is logging in his current info and printing it, adding it to the binder. I might actually look at new binders where I could just write down the info and add in his test results in there......... I ALWAYS carry a current list of his meds too, printed. I try!! Hard to do when I'm not feeling well... but I try!! If it were left up to him, he'd say, "I'm feeling fine" to all doctors vs. telling them what's going on. Can't wait to go. He's been just drained, has an ashen color, and is very 'down' about all of this. He's anemic and is low on vitamin B, so that could be it, but he has to do some tests before going on both iron and vitamin B, so we just wait............ Thank you again!
