Holy cow. In 18 ish hours, me, three angry cats and my overloaded car will be pulling out of the driveway headed to the ocean three days away. No work, no people coming and going in my old house, no telephone. Just the wind from my sunroof and the music on my radio. Im so stressed out lol. I have 10 hours of work plus the packing and the cleaning and the extra stuff that everyone waited until today to decide needed to be done. ggrrr. won't matter tomorrow. Today though.....18 hours. Three days after that ocean..sun..water, my new awesome uber tiny apartment. Im not even going to think about the stress of the rest of the week. Nope. No work...no phones...no people....just me and the road 
Day 1: made it to Texas. Cats did okay. Dexter doesn’t travel well at all and he was the only one who ate his doctored breakfast
eventually I let him out because his breathing worried me. He curled up on the front seat next to the soft crate and slept all the way to the hotel. The girls escaped but weren’t very well behaved so they didn’t get to stay out. None of them like the sun roof opened. It stressed them out so much I shut it and will keep it shut 
I love my car. Love love love. It didn’t start getting old till about hour 10. Luckily it was only 11 hours . The Garth brooks xm station is my favorite. His collection of favorites is as eclectic as my own . Another 11 hours roughly tomorrow and I will be on AZ with my sister and my son. Then 6.5ish on Monday.
Day 2: was supposed to be easier but there was a traffic thing out of Payson so I was stuck for almost 2 hours. In a stick shift that’s not as fun as it sounds. Finally at hotel. Getting the girls settled and dexter to his new job. He’s being taken in as a mouser for a friend here. He’s going to kill me when I put him back in the crate should be a shirt drive tomorrow. 5.5 pending morning traffic out of AZ and I will be home. My new home. Then the fun will begin, I don’t get internet till Tuesday night so don’t worry if you don’t hear from me. I can’t log in from my phone
last update on this thread: thank you freebird for updating for me. We made it. The ride for the most part was very good. One 2 hour delay the second day put us at 12 hours each day and then 6 on Monday. Internet was installed a few hours ago. Massive snafu with u-haul and my things but that should be handled (by me-theyare NO HELP WHATSOEVER) on Thursday. I have a metal fold up chair and an air mattress. I have all my work office stuff as well. My new desk will be here Saturday. Yesterday I had pizza and went to the beach at sunset. It was perfect. Slept in. Cats are not happy. The apartment is empty. N0 hiding places etc. new cat tree ordered for them today,. Tomorrow is errand day including DMV. Yikes. Even with the u-haul thing I’m not nearly as stressed out as I have been the last few months. That says a lot.
