Today, I took the baby swimming in our neighbors pool. The girls are both back in school. So I try to do something fun with him at least a couple times a week. I was going to take him to the water park, but they were calling for rain. So I figured closer to home was better!!
After swimming, I made us lunch. Then I edited some pictures, did some emails, and worked for a little bit. Now we are watching tv, waiting for my middle daughter to get home from school. I did put a pork roast in the crockpot. So I’m going to shuck some corn before we go to cheer practice, so we have a quick but good dinner!

I went to work where the morning was spent in a productive team lead meeting. Took advantage of the nice sunshine and went home at lunch (5 minute drive) to read in the backyard, back to work for purchase requests, sign off on performance appreciation forms. Now home for the evening where I’m going to throw in some laundry and then head back out to my lawn chair for more reading and sunshine.

Back to school shopping with yds. He insists he doesn’t need anything (he doesn’t need much but he does need a few new pieces of clothing plus schools supplies) so we’re hitting Marshall’s and Target today (along with the party store....his bday party w/ friends is this weekend; family party next weekend) and then reevaluating. This kid hates to shop.....pray for us 🤣 LOL I have never known what it's like to have a kid that doesn't like shopping. My ds is just as much of a clothes hound as my dds. LOL Good luck to you! Ha! I guess I should say he'd tolerate shopping better if he could buy whatever he wanted Disagreements had today: Pinata for bday party.....he thinks we can hang it in the tree in the front yard that's right on the property line, near a fence, in a flower bed and not far from the road. I ended up saying "let's ask dad" Backpack: no, you can't get one of the 'character' ones. we made that mistake last year and it was broke and useless by Christmas; nor do you need a $90 no-name laptop bag....you're 9! Hoodie: no, we're not getting a 'costume hoodie'....I hate how they look, they're cheaply made and you won't wear it b/c it gets all scratchy. I agreed to a Fortnite t-shirt but sadly they didn't have his size; we'll order one. He wore me down on a new lunch bag even though we already have a similar one; it was only $10 and a different color. Also ended up with the new DogMan book. Saddest part of the day? No more character underwear

I went to school and got my desks arranged and my computer reconfigured. That was enough for today!
Kids were in and out, so it was wonderful to see them after being gone for summer! Just a few weeks until we are in the swing of things!

I returned to work after being off for a week. After that, I went to the mall and came home and watched some TV. Nothing too exciting.

I had a wonderful day! *My dd and I met my aunt and uncle (who are visiting from Florida) at a local Chinese buffet for lunch, along with two cousins and two aunts. *Dd and I got pedis with three of her girlfriends. *Got a replacement title at the DMV, and only had to wait four minutes with very pleasant service. *Dd and I then went to a girlfriend's house and visited. She asked me to letter a golden birthday poster for her daughter who is turning 28 on the 28th. Her daughter has Downs and is loved by so many. *Dd helped me carry up four bags of water softener salt into my condo. I struggle with those bags, and was so grateful for her help. *While at home, I grabbed buns, peppered turkey meat, cheeses, corn on the cob and watermelon and we went to her house, fed her cat, had supper and relaxed.
I love that we are so close and can spend time together. ♡

brandy327!!! I'm back to work. Today was day 3, first day with students. I'm exhausted and overwhelmed, both with work and with trying to get things done at home, already. How am I going to do this? I don't even have kids at home full time anymore! Work just gets more challenging each year.

Spent most of the day with DD and DGD. They arrived at home 10.30 am and we went to Ikea - walked around there, looking at everything, purchasing a few (lot) of things we probably didn't need, had lunch and arrived home at about 3.00 pm. Lots of new products in store so there was plenty to look at.
I seem to spend less time with them these days as the little one is at kindy three days per week which means less time for grammie. Any day with them is a delight.
