So if she was tachycardia, the smart water would indeed help over plain water. I'm not familiar why. The levels of potassium, calcium, magnesium and electrolytes are nothing special in Smartwater. And we're talking about a few milligrams/liter here anyway. Compared to the amount of sodium and calcium you're getting from your daily food intake (especially with the amount of prepared foods and ice-cream TC shares on social media), it's really miniscule. "Smart"water isn't going to change anything about that. You're far better off seeing a doctor, getting blood work done and checking for your magnesium vs calcium (as well as overall sodium) levels for tachychardia. My mother suffers from it and has to get everything checked several times/year. She's also been told to rush to the ER in case of feeling unwell due to her tachycardia, not stay at home and buy tap water that's been evaporated, distilled from its natural elements which are then readded. Women in particular can't mess with these things since they are still severely underdiagnosed for heart-related issues. I can't with these people on IG claiming essential oils, overpriced Coca-Cola water (it's beyond me how they are allowed to repackage municipal tap water as a product but that's a whole other discussion) and whatnot. No. Tracie is still alive because of science. If you have a pacemaker and possible inflammation, you need to get it checked, period. And if your healthcare system is so messed up you'd rather save the money from the ER visit, consider instead picking up the good fight rather than thanking your favourite deity for having woken up to live another day. This is all very sad to watch from outside the USA.

Actually it is better than water. My dd who has POTS drinks it. It has electrolytes that water does not have as well as sodium she needs. From Glaceau: In contrast, most spring waters contain more electrolytes naturally (Evian: 80mg/l of calcium, 26mg/l of magnesium, 1mg/l of potassium just to cite one internationally famous spring water). Again, we are talking milligrams/l. That is very little compared to the impact of your daily food intake especially for sodium. It is far more effective to discuss potassium and magnesium supplements with a doctor than to rely on the marketing messaging of water brands and the placebo effect.

This is all very sad to watch from outside the USA. Going on 6.5 years of Dysautonomia, POTS, hEDS, ect. We have had 3 cardiologist, 1 connective tissue genetics team, one metabolic team, 2 nutritionists, 1 GI team, and 1 neurologist tell us that when she is becoming tachy to give Smartwater over regular water along with salt. 9 times out of 10, we avoid the ER and IV fluids doing this. BUT there are times when her body is just not having it and is taken to the ER by ambulance or myself where she received 2 to 3 bags of IV fluids. Even top Dysautonomia and POTS doctors state to have Smartwater along with salt. So 🤷🏻♀️

Even top Dysautonomia and POTS doctors state to have Smartwater along with salt. So 🤷🏻♀️ Sodium, potassium, magnesium, calcium, bicarbonate, chloride and phosphate levels are all scientifically measurable. Electrolyte imbalance can cause issues. But buying overpriced water with readded electrolytes (because the naturally present ones were distilled away) is giving far too much credit to the idea of "smart" water. It isn't smart. It's just packaged to make you think so. We could also just add the sodium straight away into the Smartwater bottle and up the price even more. So *shrug* indeed.

Guess who is still reading 2 peas refugees? Tracie wanted us all to know she has no time for the negative, this trip was already planned and she’s way too good of a friend to cancel, and she saved money by not going to the ER when she was knocking on death’s door. Where are you seeing this? I didn’t think she had a personal Instagram account.

Tracie Claiborne Instagram "Message me and I will pray for you." Why is that necessary? How about an overall please bless those who suffer chronic pain as I do. Give them strength and comfort to get through the hard times. No prayers for you unless I have a first and last name, and an Instagram user name so I can tag you in posts! God put me here to love people. More than happy to do it!

I find it hilarious that Ttracie thinks she is blocking people from seeing her posts. Yep I am blocked and can still see her latest post about Snickers + Strawberry Cheesecake Mexican Ice Cream.
Smart gal she is.

What is Mexican ice cream? I've never heard of it. Neither has my Mexican boyfriend 😂😂😂 I am Mexican and never heard of it either. How funny, I live outside Portland and we have several Mexican Ice Cream stores. I have no idea how it is made, but it is much denser then regular ice cream. It is so good! They also have interesting flavors, chili mango, watermelon, cotija caramel (my very favorite!) and corn. Corn is really good too, but the cotija (I don’t think I am spelling that right) is so good, the caramel is really dark. My cousin, who is Mexican, is very opinionated on where we buy it from. Several of the Mexican Markets sell it, but our favorite place is just an ice cream store. My cousin also says guacamole is a disgrace to Mexican people, maybe it is regional within Mexico? In any event, I suggest you all Yelp Mexican Ice Cream and try it. Maybe we can start a go fund me account or solicit donations from TC to fund your Mexican Ice Cream excursions.

Thanks for the lowdown...funny he and I both are native Angelenos and we had no idea. That cotija caramel sounds fantastic. I might have to go on a fact finding mission tomorrow!

Maybe it’s like much of the ‘Italian food’ we have in America or like corned beef is ‘Irish’ Once ethnic groups get here they tend to branch off doing things slightly different than where their ancestors came from. Because they want to, because different stuff is available, whatever reason. And it becomes popular and the rest is history.

Maybe we can start a go fund me account or solicit donations from TC to fund your Mexican Ice Cream excursions. @skellinton, I know all those flavors and have eaten them in the form of paletas or a form of sherbet/Italian ice. When I hear ice cream I think of, well...cream. I'll have to go to Little Village in Chicago and see if I can find this Mexican Ice Cream that seems to be in Portland.

So that makes sense they would be the same flavors. They sell those at the place we frequent as well. The ice cream is made with milk. I suggest if you really want to try it you Yelp Mexican Ice Cream, when I do over 50 stores pop up, although a handful are ones that are not actually Mexican Ice Cream. I assure you I am not inventing this phenomenon. It is real and a big deal here, although I will admit we are frequently the only Caucasian people in there, except for when my cousin in law is with us as she is Mexican and Latina. (When I Say Mexican I mean she was born and raised there, that is where he family is from, parents, grandparents, great grandparents? I understand her ethnicity is not Mexican, but Latina, just want to make sure everyone understands I know the difference. 😺)

So, around here 'mexican ice cream' is a big scoop of ice cream rolled/covered in crushed graham crackers (crumbs) and deep fried.
I have never heard of a Mexican Ice Cream store!
