do you use your flat sheet? what do you use instead?
I'm thinking I would like a soft lightweight blanket instead- any favorites?

We still use our flat sheets. In the summer, that is basically all we use. As it gets colder, we add blankets or a comforter.

We don't use our flat sheets as we use duvets with covers on them. When I buy a sheet set, I typically make a duvet cover out of the flat sheet. The last couple of years, my mom gifted us with sets of really nice sheets. I had plenty of duvet covers, so I've been hanging on to the flat sheets. Just yesterday I checked to see if I could turn them into fitted sheets. Looks like I can, I just have to spread the huge things out to measure, then it's easy from there.

I don’t use flat sheets. They annoy me. I just have lighter blankets and quilts.

I love my flat sheets. 100% cotton Percale in summer, cotton flannel in winter.

DH & I use the flat sheet on our bed. However, the Boy just uses a quilt. Leaves me washing his quilt every week.

I use a flat sheet on it's own in hot weather and I use one under our duvet (in a cover) generally so that I don't have to change the cover every time.

We have not used a flat sheet in at least 20+ years. Hate them. Only use our Comforter Store comforter. Gets washed and dried in the sun. I also have to have my feet uncovered every night. Can't stand anything on my feet.

No flat sheet here. I am an extremely fidgety sleeper and would wake up snarled Or strangled by the darn thing. My husband likes it cool in the house, so we have a lightweight comforter with duvet for summer and in winter we use quilts and the comforter.

Oh you must be my twin! My girls have STRICT instructions that if I am ever unconscious in a hospital to make sure my feet are uncovered. I am that crazy about it. My poor daughter was intubated in ICU, and she has the same issues as me. She was conscious but could not speak of course. She was SO mad because the nurse kept covering up her feet and putting a blanket on her. She wanted OUT of the covers not under them. Thankfully her sister was there and figured out the problem.

I don't think I've used a flat sheet since I lived in my mothers house. It just gets tangled up and nobody wants it. We just have thin quilts that we use, but we keep our house at 74 degrees so it doesn't get too hot in here.

Never use a flat sheet. We all have duvet with removable covers on them.I have a summer duvet and a winter one. If it gets really warm I sleep with no covers over me. I only have fitted sheets for the mattress. They sell sheets individually here.

I always use a flat sheet. I sleep in my birthday suit and have to have the nice smoothness of a sheet against my body. Not a blanket, those go over the sheet (and I like several as I need the weight, my own version of a weighted blanket).

I did the same until I decided I needed to change the duvet cover a lot less frequently if I put a sheet under it I love our all season duvet

Yes, Still use flat sheets, but I've started to use our flannel flat sheets all yr round, with a regular cotton fitted bottom sheet. Then the top flat sheet is more like a blanket.

I always use a flat sheet. Saves me from having to wash my blanket every week. This 100%. This is the purpose and practicality of a flat sheet. I use one in the summer along with a light quilt. In the fall and winter I use a comforter with a duvet cover.

I have to have my flat sheet!! It does annoy me when the sheets aren't long enough to properly be tucked in. I'm old school, so I make hospital corners and I like my bed very tightly made and neat, always. It's sick, but if one of us gets up to go to the bathroom at night, I'll be freshening up the bed and making it all tight again, like a hotel!! I'll see if I have a current pic...
