I ordered three things, so according to the rules of Amazon they should be in three different boxes and show up in three different trucks throughout the day... I checked the tracking because I couldn't remember if it was due today or tomorrow and found: Amazon couldn't deliver your package
We are sorry your shipment was damaged in transit and will not be delivered.
All three things? Did Bigfoot step on the truck?
The only other info is that they are sending the damaged items back to the shipper, not sending me new items.
Well that's exciting. Maybe the universe is telling me I don't need an etch-a-sketch and tank tops...

Lately they have been combining different orders placed within 24 hours into one box (which I applaud) if they are coming from the same distribution center, so they may have been in one box, unless you got 3 different tracking numbers. If It was actually 3 separate boxes, then I’d guess your UPS truck or Amazon delivery truck had an accident.
You could call customer service or wait 24 hours until they send out replacement orders.

What a joke. I have a feeling it is an excuse. I also ordered two things at different times on the same day and they did arrive in the same box.

I have had the same problem twice this summer--multiple items ordered within 24 hours, all cancelled due to damage. What the heck is going on?

What is it with shipping issues? I had a weird one with Target. Ordered 2 of the same item and got a notice that one was waiting at the store but the 2nd item was cancelled. Look online to see they are still selling the item. Call to order and customer service can't figure out what is going on. Crossing my fingers the new order does arrive on Thursday.

Well, I ordered some vestibular items for my classroom and got a “magic back Dragon ring” (just a weird silver ring in a fancy box) and an Afro wig. How in the world does that happen?

I ordered vitamins and tracked it all the way to Oahu. Nothing after that. I got a notice from Amazon on Saturday that the item was lost and they were refunding me as item was no longer available. Checked online and its still available.

Can I ask what kind of vestibular items you ordered? Both of my little kids seem to have some issues with this. Thanks, I hope you see this as I have no idea how to tag you.

I placed an order last week and received a large padded envelope in the mail that was empty. The return adddress was from a Halloween wholesaler that I hadn't ordered from but it was too late to call about it. Later that evening I got an email from Amazon that I was being refunded for one of my items because it couldn't be fulfilled. Turns out it was from the place that sent the empty envelope.

Many (maybe even most) items on Amazon are sold by more than one seller. That is why there is that side box with different prices and shipping prices for many items. Even quite a few Prime items are “sold by “Xyz” and fulfilled by Amazon” - meaning that you aren’t actually purchasing it from Amazon, but from another seller, but that Amazon is housing the item and shipping it.
For those of you who received a notice that the item was no longer available, but it is still for sale on Amazon, it is very possible that that the seller you purchased/ordered it from did in fact sell out of the item.
Amazon won’t simply change your order to another seller in that case, because there may have been a reason you chose that particular seller/vendor - it could have been the price, or the seller rating, or some other reason.
There isn’t some nefarious reason why your order wasn’t fulfilled, but it is still for sale on the site. Simply find another vendor on the site and re-order.

I had the opposite problem. I received my item right on time, but kept getting notices that is was delayed. Then I got a notice they would cancel my order, as it appeared lost. I was able to confirm I received the item via the chat feature.

Checked online and its still available. I ordered some probiotics and they have apparently been lost at a sorting facility. I was refunded my money but I have reordered yet. How strange!

I don’t think that is how you spell it, but they are the bucket like seats with two holes. They are really great, kids can spin in them, wear them, walk on them, etc. you can sometimes find them cheaper than Amazon that I needed to order a couple to have in my class right away as I’m trying to apply for a grant to get the other six I will need so every child in my room has access to one . I thought I would include some pictures of real life use of my classroom to help with the grant . I also ordered teeter poppers, but those arrived safe and sound! I highly recommend both.

The latest update is it was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but there have been two delays (one at 6 pm and one at 8 pm) and it will be late... I think the box is cursed, I probably shouldn't open it!

I got an email yesterday saying that a box had been damaged and was being returned. I ordered several things, including what were listed as the last two available at that moment replacement light bulbs for a Daylight lamp in my craft room. You’d think they’d ship together, right? So I was concerned that I would not be getting either of them.
But, as it turns out, they were shipped separately. The one that was packaged in a padded envelope with a couple other items arrived. Evidently the other bulb was shipped by itself and that package was damaged. I haven’t put the bulb in to see if it works, but at least I got one, which is what I need right now (I ordered two, figuring the other bulb might burn out soon too.).

And the lastest update says it still says it's being delivered last Tuesday, but when I checked my bank account it's been refunded. The weird thing, the refund is about $30 more than I paid for the items. What is going on?

And again... this time the item shipped October 8th. On Monday (the 14th) the package was "delayed in transit". There hasn't been any update since, but apparently if it doesn't show up today I can reorder... yay?
What is going on with Amazon lately. Sheesh!

I ordered a bunch of items for the new hour about 10 days ago and they now won’t be here until next week. It should take about a week to get items to my APO address, not 15+ days! One of the items is a toilet paper holder. I’d really like that!

Last Thursday night I ordered something that I didn't need right away. During checking it said that if I chose regular Prime it would arrive on Saturday. I also had the option to delay it and get the $1 credit for a future media purchase. If I chose that option it would be delivered about a week later. I decided to get the $1 credit. Two days later I got a notice that my package had been delivered. So I got the $1 credit and it still arrived on the same day it would have arrived if I had picked the regular Prime delivery option. I ordered something tonight again and chose the $1 credit option. It said it will be delivered next Thursday or Friday. I'm curious to see if it arrives this Saturday already.

My foil quill that I ordered saturday night wasn’t supposed to be here until the 28th. It showed up on Wednesday this week. Weirdness.

No. This one was something DH ordered for our kitchen counters. It now says I can request a refund but it might still show up. I don't need two and it's not returnable, so I might wait a few days in case it finally arrives...

I have two issues that are new to me -- Items now have a 30 days window for return Some returns now cost - I can drop at "participating Kohl's store" for feee, but to deliver to UPS store (as I've been going for some time) now costs $9.83.
I think the return restrictions are making the Prime option less appealing!

This reminds me of 3rd parties or companies contracted out that do services for bigger companies. When boyfriend worked for Dish, he constantly had to go to homes that just had installment by a contracted company to fix whatever mess they created. Contractors get paid by the job. So, the more jobs they can get in a day, the more they will make. Which meant to do the jobs fast. (Only basing this off from the many experience that boyfriend has had) And they also had to pay for their own tools and supplies. Regular Dish techs didn’t get paid by the job. They were paid hourly and the company supplied them with the tools. Maybe in a way, that’s what it’s like with Amazon now? I hear when packages are being distributed out to the proper routes at the USPS, they are thrown in a bin from a distance. (Atleast in my local post office) If there is a lighter box that gets thrown in first and a heavier box gets thrown in next, it could damage the lighter box. Especially if it gets buried under a mountain of heavier boxes. And since the USPS is a big part of Amazon deliveries, maybe those boxes get thrown in with the rest? I can find that last part out. I guess I’m just not a big fan of third parties
