Glad you like the Teen Spirit line, dald222 ! I love the boy line and have used it a lot, but didn’t pick up the girl one. Does it have rainbows? My almost 9 yr old DVD is obsessed with unicorns and rainbows. I picked up a unicorn & rainbow stack at Joanns I also found unicorn ribbon I also found unicorn & rainbow washi last week. the teen spirit had unicorn paper too

I never even knew this app existed! I just looked it up online and it looks so wonderful! The description said something about barcodes. Do you have to scan the barcode to enter your stamps or can you take a photo of them to catalog them? I have some stamps that don't have packaging so I wouldn't be able to scan anything and I don't know who manufactured them. Also, does the app automatically tag stamps or do you choose the tags? Thanks so much for your help! You can take a photo to catalogue your stamps. I have a lot of unmounted stamps that I've put into pockets with similar stamps (like, a bunch of heart stamps from various companies - I've stuck them to a laminated card and put them together in a plastic stamp pocket), and I photographed that pocket and called it "Hearts". You can also scan the bar code of craft items. They are trying to set up a complete database so you can just scan the barcode and have the item show up for you to add to your inventory, but they are just in the beginning stages. For instance, Lawn Fawn and Concord & 9th bar codes all work, but Stampin' Up! doesn't. They have Ranger in there. The Ton isn't in their database yet because they don't use bar codes, so I had to photograph and manually enter those. I think they want the entries to be crowd-sourced, so all of the SU stamp sets I entered will be available to anyone else who scans that barcode now, but I don't think that's working yet. I hope that helps, and that I explained things clearly.

Keep your fingers crossed for me! A mom of a kid my DS is friends with would like to get together and scrapbook, so we made plans for this Saturday! She isn't like me (a crazy person who loves paper and washi and brads, oh my!) but she is wanting to step out of her CM bubble-nothing wrong with CM, but she saw a LO I did with some Echo Park and now she is interested. I am trying not to get too excited as it seems like this will happen and then the person will not feel well, or forget their kid had a game or whatever, or whatever came up.. and then it fizzles. But I would be very excited to have someone else to scrapbook with IRL and she seems game to check out a store that is about 45 min away.

I was going to ask y’all to remind me that I bought myself the craft die advent calendar from hsn on Dec 1st but then I remembered I could just make myself a calendar event with a reminder for Dec 1st. Plus I wrote in the notes where I put it ( because I’ll never remember )

Aside from OLW, can anyone suggest any specific self-reflection / personal development focused projects? I am really struggling with my mental health at the moment and (for a few different reasons) therapy / counseling isn't really an option. So I thought perhaps I could try working through some things creatively. Even any journalling or self-love projects could be helpful.

So I thought perhaps I could try working through some things creatively. Even any journalling or self-love projects could be helpful. I routinely do a gratitude journal ( now an app ) Ive also worked thru some stuff with my daily photo journal, it’s helped me to look at smaller ‘blessings’ with a new eye. To see more things for the little but beautiful things they are. I also found I can get a mental ‘high’ by helping others. Volunteering can give me some positive feelings about myself and help my confidence because I feel like I’m doing something like I make some sort of difference. While mental health is not a choice, and depression can’t be cured with pulling yourself together, or pulling yourself up by your bootstraps, sometimes you can keep yourself afloat until you can get help. Hugs

my journaling is art journaling- cut & paste collage, and/or doodling with gel pens, markers, crayons, etc. in a sketchbook. It doesn't have to look like anything- I just choose magazine and vintage book images that speak to me in some way, and combine them on a page using a cheap glue stick. Then I doodle over the images, outline things on the page, etc. Then, I may (or may NOT) write on the page, or just add words I've cut from the magazines / books.
For me, journaling isn't so much that I'm thinking about anything specific in a conscious manner when I do it; it's just something to help me get 'out of my head' kind of like meditating, to calm myself down and get in a 'flow' state.
ETA: and a lot of times, after I've been working for a while, I will start writing- and it will be about all sorts of random things that I didn't realize I was thinking about / obsessing over. Also, very important for ME: I *never* ever go back and re-read my journal pages. I hardly ever even look at them, to be honest. I just want the thoughts out of my head.

You might want to check out Susannah Conway's Unravel Your Year www.susannahconway.com/unravel/I'm sure there's still value in signing up for it later in the year and the best thing is that it's FREE. It's a little bit like OLW, some elements in common, but also quite different. A little woo-woo/new agey/witchy, although you can skip over those parts if that's not your cup of tea. Really, there's room to make it whatever you want it to be. Keeping a written journal, for gratitude or just to brain dump can be helpful too. Sorry, I can't think of any specific journaling or art journal projects to link to at the moment, besides Unravel.

I am dog sitting my friend’s new-ish dog and she is rotten! She is so sweet and has the softest coat but she is not trained, already pooped on my rug, chases the cats, launches herself off the back of the couch... ugh. I want to work in my studio today but I’m not sure that is going to happen until tomorrow (after she leaves).
I ordered so much last week that I haven’t had a chance to play with! The AE kits from HSN, some of the new Dear Lizzy collection (beautiful), the Citrus Twist stamp of the month (I bought it for the mountains), an Elle’s studio order... yikes. I need to use up some of my new stuff!

Since I can’t get into my studio, I’m purging paper. I found my stash of Cosmo Cricket and I’m not parting with a single piece! A lot of old brands are being donated but none of my Sassafras, Cosmo, or Scenic Route.
