Since I can’t get into my studio, I’m purging paper. I found my stash of Cosmo Cricket and I’m not parting with a single piece! A lot of old brands are being donated but none of my Sassafras, Cosmo, or Scenic Route. I have soooo much Scenic Route. I bought 2 warehouse boxes when they were closing. I love it so much, but I have to start using it up. I recently purged a ton of their stickers which I know I'll never use, but I'll never purge that paper!!

I finished my album of our last trip and had trouble getting the page protectors into the post bound album that I planned to use The threads on the posts seemed to be stripped. (I may have got it at a thrift store..cant remember)
I finally got dh to help and we got it done. I cant tell you how many hours I spent getting that thing together.
Then he looked at it and wanted me to include some more pictures that he had edited to use on one of his projects. I'm going to have to do it all over again. I want to go 100% with D rings, but I have too many post bound albums to do that. I find them on clearance all the time and cant resist a bargain. I've never seen a D ring on clearance. I need someone to come and sneak them out of my house and refuse to let me know where they are .

I got 38 pages (of 2002) completed on Friday and Saturday. They layouts were pretty much done before I got there, but I added pictures and bling.

I used some on my older albums, before I switched to D-ring. link

I finished a layout today. My two youngest kids had the same first grade teacher, and for Back To School Night she would have them draw a "selfie" portrait on a paper that looks like a smartphone, and leave it on their desk for parents to find.
I scrapped a photo of each child's selfie drawing side by side. I had a Dollar Tree "Back To School" sticker title, and used Dollar Tree foam alpha letters to spell their names ( the letters match the Back2School sticker perfectly). Then I wrote the year each drawing was made.
It's such a happy, bright layout, and makes me smile to see their drawings.
I was also happy to use stash that I bought recently, plus paper from a pad that I bought earlier in the year.

I have about half a dozen unfinished layouts in my craft space right now. And probably 20 or so sets of photos printed with plans for layouts. This is remarkable for me because I've never been someone who prints ahead, I print as and when I sit down to scrap. Nor have I ever been someone to leave a page unfinished and move on to something else. It's frustrating and I think it's resulting in a mental road block. But it's definitely indicative of the headspace/lifespace that I've been in lately. I'd like to try to get at least half of the unfinished layouts all done and put away before my husband goes back to work next week.
