I'm working away. I've got two irons in the fire right now. My painted daisies wrap. And a new granny afghan. My niece saw my new granny yesterday and the child begged me to finish it and give it to her. She is the only person I know who loves a granny as much as me.
Have you guys seen those snowman packages for Christmas? I am thinking of wrapping my kids gifts like that for Christmas and outfitting the snowman with a new hat and scarf combo. So I might get to work on that soon.
I saw some color changing yarn on Jimmy Beans website that looks fun. I think my DD would love that.

jeremysgirl I just saw those snowman packages you are referring to. I love the idea and now even more with your addition of a homemade hat and scarf. Yes, please someone explain how it can be September already.

jeremysgirl or malibou could you kindly link the snowman packages? I’m also working on a painted daisy wrap using night time bubbles colourway

@pascoepea the description said something like a main present in the bottom box, something to wear in the middle box and treats in the top box.

Yes I do a simple Christmas too. So that will work perfectly for us. Top will be an XL box of poptarts. My kids were neverallowed to have poptarts when they were little so it became a Christmas tradition that they would each get a box for Christmas. Every year they look forward to their box of poptarts.

I'm on the 4th stripe of my Attic24 Moorland blanket. I spaced out and the color I used for stripe 1 was the color I was supposed to use for stripe 3. I'm concerned that there isn't enough contrast between 3, 4, and 5, but I'm going to finish through that much before I give up and start over. They are all various greens in this part, so it's not like something weird that anyone except me will notice. But it is hugely bugging me!

I’m having deja vu - did you post about this on the FB group? Im just sewing in the last couple of ends on baby blanket for my newest nephew. He was born on 9th August but as we were going on holiday just after that we knew we wouldn’t get a chance to meet him until this month. Picture (of the blanket, not the baby) tomorrow hopefully. While we were away - Norwegian fjord cruise - I started the Ocean State of Mind shawl, using Blueberry Bambam Whirl, but I’m working it as a scarf instead. Maybe getting to around halfway through that. Also whilst in Norway, I visited a yarn shop. Came away with two colours of this: www.sandnes-garn.com/yarn/peer-gynt-1865 to make a colourwork hat for my DH (thinking I’m going to have to brave the knitting needles for that) - and one of these - sandnesgarn.global.ssl.fastly.net/media/catalog/product/cache/7/image/9df78eab33525d08d6e5fb8d27136e95/1/1/11061050_blaabaer-haandfarget_72dpi_noste.jpg - for me for no particular project. And as usual, I have about a dozen other projects on the go that aren’t getting much love right now

Seriously she puts together the best colors. If you are doing the random stripe I don't think you will notice a thing. I wouldn't give it one bit of worry.

It’s soft-ish in my opinion. Definitely not as soft as the merino but not bad at all for regular wool. DH squished it and approved, which is the main thing!

Oh my goodness! The Attic24 Moorland blanket pics with the moorland in the background! LOVE! I found a Joe's Toes pattern for knitted slipper socks, which sent me off to Amazon to get some Sock Stop and into the cupboard to dig out a forgotten piece of the gecko's leftover felt carpet. Now I have to work out the crochet equivalent. As if I didn't have enough unfinished projects scattered around the house, and a brother coming to stay next weekend.

Happy September! Lovely to get in from work and see photos already. I’m stuck in the middle of spreadsheets at the moment and they are a little lacking on the creativity front but hopefully I can pick up a wip in a week or so.

I'd also love any ideas for putting a home together if anyone wants to share! I'm kind of drowning in this task!!

It would be very fun to do one a day! We would all be on the edge of our seats waiting for that day's pic of your great crafts. It doesn't have to be all or nothing. I love your stuff.

jeremysgirl and JoP, I may have to try that painted daisies wrap...I just bought 2 skeins of a pretty marled taupe color with flecks of blue and green here and there. I can't decide if that would be too plain to use, though. (Let's be real - I'll plan to do it and it will be put aside till I finish one of the other projects going, at which point I will have discovered yet another project I NEED to do.)

Awe you are so sweet!! I think part of it is that I’m frustrated at the lack of quality pictures (I’m a retired photographer & my phone camera sucks), but your comment touches me so much that I’m going to try & do just that! I don’t even remember how long it’s been so sorry if there are duplicates. I’ll start off with one I really love - here is this year’s Reserve Grand Champion of the handiwork department at our county fair. Lost in Time made with a Hobbii Twirl in Ocean Jasper (01). And have I been here since I learned to knit??! This is one of the first hats I made, and I’m absolutely enchanted with how the yarn worked up. Made with an ILTY Prints. Now I think I have to try them all lol.
