I’m posting two sketches—a before and after. I drew my own sketches, so the first sketch is my original idea about what I wanted to do. Then, based on that, I used the sketch and created my layout. THEN, based on THAT, I drew out a final sketch from my actual layout. They are kinda tied together but the sketches are a bit different. Using either one counts! I drew out my first sketch to get an idea of what I wanted to do. Sketchtember 7 v1 before by DanaHere is what I ended up doing for my layout. It’s a Travel Notebook two page layout from a recent trip to Coronado, CA. Sketchtember 7 TN by Dana, on Flickr Then I sketched out a more accurate sketch based on the layout I created. Sketchtember 7 v2 after by Dana, on Flickr Of course, there is a twist. The twist for Sketchtember #7 is color based—and since it’s still hot hot hot here in Phoenix, the twist is to use only C O O L colors (greens, blues, and purples, along with white—white or neutrals are ok) on your layout.

So cool that you drew your own sketch, then modified it! I love your TN pages, but this looks easily translatable to a scrapbook page. I really want to try that ribbon border.

LOVE your page, KelleeM! Such cute photos. Awesome twist on a common title. Beautiful colours and patterns and that lacy blue ribbon is a nice feminine touch.

KelleeM I really like this colour combo and the purple trim is so beautiful. I love that her top also says messy hair

KelleeM I really like this colour combo and the purple trim is so beautiful. I love that her top also says messy hair It actually said ‘messy hair don’t care’ but I had to crop the pictures to fit...in hindsight I probably shouldn’t have. 😊

Here's mine. The scan didn't quite go far enough to the right but there's a slightly larger piece of that green in the little distressed area, roughly the size of one of the forks on that green pp.

ComplicatedLady, great sketch, I love seeing the process you went through to get the final sketch. I really like the 2 lots of overlapping ribbon, and how each person so far has made it just a bit different to yours. Your photos are great too. KelleeM I love those photos haha!! So cute. And look, you used Basic Grey!! Oh Baby Girl is another of my favourites, I made heaps of 6x6 baby albums back in the day using that kit. I also bought the digital kit. And that paper you chose is my favourite from that collection - so pretty. I really love the two different ribbons you used for the border, and the stitched vellum heart. Chinagirl828 I also love your border with the little added bit and pieces. The layers under the photos are great, and as usual your photography is wonderful (that food is making my tummy rumble). Love all the white space too.

I hope this one counts - I was inspired by the ribbon border but did my own thing with the rest of the layout

I didn't follow the challenge exactly. I had the photos down on the red patterned paper and was kind of stuck. Then I saw the awesome sketch! I used it to complete my layout. Thanks for posting your original sketch! 20190907_150418 by Mikk Lynn, on Flickr
