Those that are reading the it now..would it have helped to have read the Handmaid's tale before you read the Testaments? or not needed. ?? can you pick it up because of the TV series? I'm about halfway through The Testaments now and in my opinion it's better to have watched the Hulu series (all of the seasons) than to have read The Handmaids Tale before reading The Testaments. Of course doing both is the best, but as long as you have watched the Hulu series (all of it) you'll be in good shape. That's all I'm going to give away. So far I think the book is amazing! I have read The Handmaids Tale and adore it, but I'm really loving this book too. I'm having such fun reading it. |

I got a notice yesterday that I can pick up my copy from the library! I put my name on the list even before it was out and before people started talking about it so I was right up near the top. I really wanted to go get it today but my branch shares a parking lot with TWO schools  so there is never any parking. I'll wait till tomorrow when school isn't in session. |

What about all the people who don't have Hulu so therefore have never seen the show? I watched a few episodes on a plane last year but that's it. Surely I'm not the only one? |

I haven't read The Handmaid's Tale, or seen any of the program. I am doing the Kindle Unlimited free trial, so just downloaded it. I'm excited to give it a whirl.
