My leg has stopped working - NEW UPDATE ON PAGE 9

I’m currently sitting in A&E (ER) waiting to be seen. I got up early to let the dog out, and then lay back down in bed to read for a while. At one point I tried to turn over and my left leg felt really heavy. I didn’t think anything of it; I need a new left hip and often get issues in the morning. About an hour later I got up to take in a parcel, and my leg wouldn’t move. I have no movement from the knee down. I can weight bear but have no sense of where my foot is. I keep kicking things and catching my toes on the carpet. It’s the weirdest sensation - or lack of sensation. It’s as though my leg has been anaesthetised and I have no control over it.
Please send me your best thoughts. I’m pretty sure it isn’t a stroke (my first terrified thought), my arm, face and speech are ok. But I’m travelling to Florida in 10 days and I don’t need anything to jeopardise that!
UPDATE
I’ve just had the results of a CT scan, and I have a brain haemorrhage. I’m pretty scared right now but will update once I know more. Keep me in your thoughts please.
UPDATE 2
Well, the good news is I’m not about to drop dead.
The bleed is on the surface of my brain, and is fairly big. At the moment they’re observing me closely and hoping it will disperse without any surgical intervention. My blood pressure is perfectly normal so I’m not being prescribed any meds. The stroke has only affected my lower leg, which the consultant says is a curious and interesting presentation (glad to oblige - not!) Intensive physio will start tomorrow to try and minimise the damage to my leg. I was still in shock when I spoke to the consultant, so I have a lot of questions that are only now occurring to me.
Thank you every one of you for your prayers, good wishes and support. It gives me a nice warm feeling to know there are people all over the world rooting for me!

Hey Peas! I got home from hospital yesterday and have basically been asleep since then. (Apart from now of course - 3.30am!)
While my foot is still not responding, I am noticing tiny differences every day. So while on Saturday I couldn’t really move my leg at all unless I was walking, today I can bend my knee. It’s wobbly and difficult, but I can do it. And nothing else is affected. I have been very, very lucky. My consultant said that the part of my brain that is most damaged is obviously the bit that controls my foot when it is at rest. However, there are so many other parts that are involved when I walk, that they are compensating. I still drag my toes when I walk, and that is what I am working on the most.
I have cancelled our trip to Orlando. It was the sensible thing to do. We'll reorganise it for next spring.
And I have been really touched at the support I have received from my friends, and especially from my ex-husband. When I got the diagnosis, he was the first person I called. ( Old habits die hard) . But he got right in his car, and drove 400 miles north to be with me. He’s hung around since, making sure the house was clean and tidy, with no scary obstacles! He's brought in food and supplies and taken my DD to various appointments.
And thank you all for your posts, and PMs, and thoughts and prayers. You all rock!
