lesley, it sounds like your medical team is on top of things! I’m glad physio starts tomorrow - better to be actively doing something to remedy the damage than lay there and worry. Open up a note taking app on whatever device you are using to get on NSBR and start writing down your questions. I have to do that these days because if I don’t I invariably forget to ask something until after the doctor is gone. I’ll continue to send healing thoughts and (((Hugs))).

I'm just glad you're in good hands and that you're well enough to update and maintain a sense of humor and self thru what must be very upsetting and frightening. Wishing you well and nothing but great updates from here on!

Also, can you have a trusted friend or relative go with you and take notes while you listen? I did this for a friend who had a serious medical problem and it helped her. Plus, sending you healing mojo.

Your second update sounds promising. Did you feel odd before you noticed the lack of sensation in your leg or was it out of the blue? Is this going to put the kybosh on your trip?

Your second update sounds promising. Did you feel odd before you noticed the lack of sensation in your leg or was it out of the blue? Is this going to put the kybosh on your trip? Nope, no odd feelings at all. I was just lying in bed looking forward to a lazy day with nothing I had to do and nowhere I had to go. That didn’t really work out, did it?! We’ll almost certainly need to cancel our holiday. The doctor said he would let me know his thoughts at the start of the week. But even if I can somehow miraculously still travel, I’ll need to make changes. I am not allowed to drive for at least a month, so I will have to cancel the AirBnB villa we had booked for our second week. None of the kids drive, so being in a remote location won’t work. Our first week is in a Disney hotel, so we would extend our stay there so we can still use Disney transport. I’ve already cancelled the car rental.

How disappointing but the kids will be pleased if you are just well enough to go, I’m sure. Or just well, full stop!
Good luck for tomorrow as you start treatment. X

Wow! You poor thing !!! My sweet doggie nurses and I are sending (( hugs )) and prayers. I always love your posts about Turiff; I'm sure he's praying for you, too! I was reading your story and totally relating, (because I also need a hip replacement) and you make fun comments, so I realllllly thought you were going to say something humorous and/or the doctors told you to get that hip replaced NOW--- then I read brain hemorrhage, and...whoa...how scary! Lots of ((( hugs )))) & prayers to you!

I'm so sorry this happened to you. I just got back online (my monitor broke and I wasn't able to get online for a day and a half) to check back in with the Peas. I will keep you in my prayers and will pray for you for a quick recovery and for your medical team. Sending you big hugs.
