Somehow I missed the drippy goo punch phase!
I definitely jumped on the Threading Water punch bandwagon and HAD TO HAVE IT. I did find it and I still use it occasionally!
The Making Memories giant grommets (I think thatās what they were called?). Had to have them, still own them, have never used them. š¤¦š»āāļø
Jenni Bowlin kits. I subscribed for a long time and I still have a ton of her kits. I used some of the supplies every month but I have a ton left over. Back in the day her papers were really thin (copy paper weight) and I have a hard time using them now!
Iām sure there are more. I tend to hop on trends only to regret them later!

I loved Jenni Bowlin kits! Miss those! Her vintage vibe was so inspiring to me. Im a vintage girl at heart and I could use her stuff on every project. I had the Threading Water punch - still have it! I did the 'spray paint' drips phase. I also did the Junkitz phase and 'put a zipper' on every page. And Paperkins! Cant forget those!

I have both the drippy goo punch and the threading water punch. I had no idea they were so popular. I have had them for ages though.
The thing I remember HAVING to have was a Colluzzle (?) that was in the shape of a 4 x 6 that you could cut your pictures into 12 pieces. I went crazy trying to find it and when I sloppily cut a picture into 12 pieces it looked like poo and never used it twice.

I love my Drippy Goo punch. I still use my Coluzzle.
Crafting Craze was Skittles. I just had to run to Michael's the day the Skittles craze broke out and get my bag of Skittles and then color them all in pretty colors. I remember that day so well because I found my Skittles in the clearance bin, lol. I still have them and use them.
Skittles back lore for those going "Huh?" They were the little acrylic gems sold in the floral department. We were dying them all sorts of pretty colors with our alcohol inks. I like to think of them as first generation enamel dots, lol.
Cricut midnight release cartridges. The excitement, the anticipation & adding to the Wish List. Those were fun days.

Mulberry paper! You'd dampen it a tiny bit, and pull it apart, and it frayed so beautifully.
I layered with it like crazy. And had so many with different "bits" added, like glitter chunks and flower petals.

I had to have all the Prima Flowers in the cute bottles. Every color. Every multi-colors.
I had about 15ish bottles of them. They took up a lot of counter space. All lined up in a row...side by side, so every bottle could be seen.
I rarely used them in my scrapbooking. Eventually, I dumped all the flowers into two clear paint bucket type containers and got rid of the bottles. Then, I eventually gave the buckets full of flowers away, since I rarely used them.

Oh, yes. Drippy Goo and Threading Water punches, scalloped circle punches in various sizes, stamp sets that I just "had" to have (but never used). Yep, SMH. I must say, though, that I still use some of these.

My kids used them back in the day. My girl scout troop used them. Iām not sure I ever used them in a page but I have used them in card, most recently last year ( I still have them just in case? )

Rounding ALL the corners. Prima flowers. I still have several bottles rattling around in a drawer somewhere taking up space. I also had a phase where I used lots and lots of ribbon. I loved it at the time. Now when I look at those layouts I have a good chuckle. Making mini albums. I have a basket full of different styles of mini albums.

I even will still pull them out. Kiwi Lane which I still use. Making Memories.. just about anything they did. Lil Davis stuff..

I think I still have them somewhere.

I couldn't afford to jump on many of the bandwagons but I did have (AND use) Paperkins.
Eyelets then snaps and then brads...remember the really BIG brads from bazzill? and the shaped eyelets and brads?
fibres - I tried so hard to get into these and never really mastered their use. I struggled with ribbons also.
Tags - cutting them out and decorating them for pages and cards and swaps?
paper piecing - I have some cute ones on my older pages from swaps
anyone remember tracing and cutting out alphas using templates? I sucked at cutting them out - alpha stickers and QK and then the Cricut are so much easier.
I remember bottle caps but never saw the appeal. Same with zippers and all the hardware from Junkitz and 7Gypsies -I've never really been into lumpy bumpy like that
Oh and way WAY back...page toppers from CADD - I loved those when I first started scrapping

Making Memories paper piecing kits and also those layout recipe cards they had - I forgot what they were called. Oh Lordy, those Prima flowers in the bottles-yep! The printed cutout pages - by Heidi Swapp I think? Threw away a lot of those! Magic Scraps kits - why did I sub to that? š Iām sure there are more but thatās all that comes to mind at the moment.

Same with zippers and all the hardware from Junkitz and 7Gypsies -I've never really been into lumpy bumpy like that The headache inducing pounding of the eyelets. I purged some recently. No need to ever pound an eyelet again. Fibers! Yes! Recently I ripped off some brown fibers from a layout and it was such a relief. You could see those hideous brown fibers peaking out from the top of a pink 12x12 album and it bothered me for years. I recently redid a layout that had the most horrid hand cut letters. They were hilarious. I showed my girls the "before" and one of them looked like she was about to choke on her laughter. When you mentioned the zippers and hardware it reminded me of a Kathy Orta tutorial where she kept adding weight to a paper bag album until right up to the end. And it fell apart. Paper bags can only handle so much. I was never into super lumpy layouts either. A brad, enamel dot, or chipboard is as lumpy as I get. This is a fun and funny walk down memory lane.

All of them! Fibers! oh my so many. Vellum, mulberry paper. What was that hideous sewing stitching tool? I had to have it and all the attachnments and it didn't work. OY! I don't want to think about all the money I've wasted on supplies lol. A small fortune I'm sure.
Now I just use all that unwanted or unused crap in my art journal.

All of the above!! I think I hopped on all of those bandwagons! Most of them I fell back off of and they ran over me! LOL Threading water... Drippy goo... tags... paper dolls... Eyelets... paper piecing... using a ton of vellum... Color blocking (although, I do still do this! I think it's coming back, right? Right? )

Color blocking (although, I do still do this! I think it's coming back, right? Right? I swear this just morphed into Project life! Right? Squares/Rectangles, put your elements in the designated spots? I only had 2 of the templates for colour blocking - they were expensive to me! - but loved them. I've been on almost every craze. Had a few fibres but never enjoyed them much. Primas check. Punches check. (please, someone explain why it's called threaded water. The threaded I guess because you could put a fibre through the holes. But water? That's a scalloped edge, not a wave!) Rubber, plastic, metal, vinyl, acetate, transparency, vellum, acrylic, wood - check!

I searched for a LONG time for a way to cut circles larger than those with the CM cutting system. Finally snagged an EK Success curvy cutter. Still had trouble until I discovered the Slice glass mat. Happiness! And this week I have been fussy cutting circles I traced around a dinner plate LOL I think one of the tools I worked hardest to acquire was a rippinā Ruler. Think it was my first on line purchase! I wanted ton edges but was afraid I wouldnāt tear them straight. Now I just grab a sheet of cs or pp and RIP! I have the threading water punch but didnāt know it was ācoolā until I saw a thread about it several years later.

I am so glad I didnāt make paper bag albums. I didnāt like the look of the frayed edges or brown background so I didnāt make them. I donāt think they are terribly sturdy, either.

Rubber, plastic, metal, vinyl, acetate, transparency, vellum, acrylic, wood - check! I think it's called "threading water" because of the phrase "treading water." You can thread fiber or ribbon through it, so "threading" instead of "treading." I know, I know.
