I think I owned the very first generation Cricut and have finally upgraded. I want to take a class (paid is fine) to get myself feeling comfortable-think Cricut for Dumbies. Does that exist? Videos and something that slowly progresses. Any suggestions would be helpful.

I don’t know of any classes, but since no one has responded, I would suggest checking YouTube for tutorials.

Have you looked at your library system? I just took several free classes that my library system offered. They actually have a studio at the main branch that has all kinds of cool stuff—Cricut machines, embroidery machines, sewing machines, 3D printers. I have a Cricut Explore Air that I used a handful of times several years ago. I wanted to get back into using it, but wasn’t sure where to start. Like you, I had the original Cricut with the cartridges.
Anyway, the classes were a great kickstart. Then I came home and started googling some specific things I wanted to do (like how to take a flat image I had with multiple colors and turn it into layers for each color). I found a video that showed me exactly how to do that. It was great!
I also joined a Facebook group called Let’s Learn Cricut Design Space. I love seeing their projects and reading through their questions and suggestions. Plus I know if I get stuck, they’ll be a great resource.
