I don’t know. I am uncomfortable with her idea of forcing major companies to break apart just because they are so big.
I also have not done any research on this, and honestly having been paying attention to this talking point. I think there are some bigger issues that need to be dealt with, so this one isn’t really on my radar. If I’m misunderstanding something please tell me.

Look at the innovations in telcos after bell break up. Too big to compete against - no bueno. Here's some reading to get started: www.cnet.com/news/momentum-grows-to-break-up-big-tech-as-amazon-facebook-google-and-apple-face-scrutiny/Or Sherman Antitrust on Wiki. Or hundreds of other sources

Is she calling him the existential threat? Or is he saying that she sees large companies as the existential threat? Either way, I don't blame him for being upset and wanting to fight for his company. It is important to keep an eye on how they do business and present the news since, like you said, they are a key way for a lot of people to get the news. However, so far I am not sure I have seen anything from them that would indicate they are trying to throw the election. My interpretation of what he was saying is that if she was elected and tried to break up large companies (due to an existential threat), he would fight (the government) in making laws that would allow that to happen.

There are competitors out there, and some have also been very successful, even growing in the giants shadows. I’ll have to read some more about this when I have a bit More time to focus on the subject.

Look at the innovations in telcos after bell break up. Too big to compete against - no bueno. I started my career with a company who made their fortune on the bell breakup. I can't remember now the judge's name that made that order, but he was often praised by name in the company's halls. As for Facebook, it still amazes me that people love it so much. It is about the least user-friendly software there is. They only give you the barest illusion of controlling your content. I've hated Facebook for years. The only reason I keep an account is to post to my LisaEDesign page when I put up a new video on YouTube for those followers who prefer Facebook and to find info on some local businesses who don't have regular websites. Occasionally I see photos of DH's grandchildren when my stepdaughter's make a rare post. I do use Instagram, owned by Facebook, because the content is last in-first out like it should be and you can avoid the ads by looking at IG on Windows rather than the app. I really don't understand how any Democrat can justify significant use of Facebook. We should all use it as little as possible. If every Democrat would do that, it would send a powerful, costly message to Zuckerberg and to any platform that thinks we don't have restoring our democracy as a priority.

I gave it up a few years ago and don't miss it at all. While I understand those who find it difficult to give it up for personal business purposes, I still feel frustrated that more won't delete it to send a message. This is just scary to me...
