Kind of makes one wonder if he was really that decent when he was mayor, or if he was just more discreet. My thinking was along these lines when I read the first article about it this morning... did I just not pay enough attention, because I always thought he was a decent guy! Let me just clarify my use of the word decent was not in reference to his character but rather that he did a good(decent) job as a major. But he did seem like an OK person. Yeah, unless you were his wife. But yes, I agree he seemed to do a decent job as Mayor a solid B maybe. He just seemed like the ‘normal’ cheating on his wife powerful white dude at the time. But he’s batcrap crazy now.

Bingo!! And he doesn't know these people! The two men, according to USA Today, have dined with President Donald Trump inside the White House after having “showered Republican campaign committees with nearly $500,000.” Among those donations is $325,000 to a pro-Trump Super PAC, identified by USA Today as America First Action, which is led by a former Trump cabinet member. “In May 2018, Parnas posted pictures on Facebook of himself and Fruman with Trump in the White House and with his son, Donald Trump Jr., in California. That was the same month their company, Global Energy Producers LLC, was credited for giving $325,000 to a campaign committee that supports Trump’s re-election,” USA Today adds. In yet another twist, the two men are being represented by President Trump’s former lead lawyer for the special counsel investigation into Russia and Trump, John Dowd. ** www.rawstory.com/2019/10/rudy-giulianis-arrested-associates-had-dined-with-donald-trump-inside-the-white-house/?utm_source=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=1694&recip_id=304309&list_id=1

There are pics of these 2 men meeting with Don Jr. If I could find them, I'll post them. Parnas’ name appeared on an invitation as part of a host committee for an event featuring Donald Trump Jr. and benefiting DeSantis’ primary campaign. The July 18 fundraiser at the Alaqua Country Club in Longwood — a small town in Central Florida — was headlined by Trump Jr. and FOX News host Jeanine Pirro. linkThank you @dottyscrapper!! They really do need to arrest Giuliani. I cannot wait to see how Trump and his spin doctors spin THIS. Easy. Trump’s intentions were innocent and all about corruption, anything beyond that is all Giuliani’s fault and he had no idea what was going on. And there are people stupid enough to believe this.

I'm just waiting for Trump to say he doesn't even know Guiliani. After all, he barely knows Giuliani. Come on, now you're making me spit my covfefe all over the computer! So was it Barr who tipped them off directly, or did he pass on the info to Giuliani who tipped them. One way tickets to Europe the day Barr was in the SDNY offices seems a little too suspect to me.

NBC’s Pete Williams is reporting that Attorney General Bill Barr has been aware for months of an investigation into Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman, the two foreign-born businessmen who served as Rudy Giuliani’s henchmen in his efforts to get the Ukrainian government to investigate former Vice President Joe Biden.Williams, via NBC’s Tom Winter, reveals that Barr was made aware of an investigation into the two men ever since this past February when he was sworn in as attorney general. Barr’s knowledge of the case is notable because President Donald Trump urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to get in contact with his attorney general during his now-infamous July 25th phone call. ** www.rawstory.com/2019/10/bill-barr-has-known-about-investigation-into-rudy-giulianis-ukraine-henchmen-for-months-report/?utm_source=&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=1694

Sooooooooo................ Barr met privately with Murdoch amid impeachment scrutiny: report BY MARTY JOHNSON - 10/10/19 05:33 PM EDT Attorney General William Barr met privately Wednesday night with Rupert Murdoch, the media giant and known confidant of President Trump, at Murdoch's home in New York, The New York Times reported on Thursday. It is unclear what the two discussed, as aides of both men declined to speak with the Times. The move comes amid House Democrats' impeachment inquiry into Trump over his interactions with Ukraine, matters with which Barr played an integral role. ** Barr has also contacted multiple foreign governments asking them for assistance into the Justice Department's probe into the origins of the Russian interference investigation. ** thehill.com/homenews/media/465299-barr-met-privately-with-murdoch-amid-impeachment-scrutiny-report

Over the last few days I have wondered how Mueller is feeling about not being as aggressive as he could have been and also how his friend(maybe not so much now) Barr has been acting?
Barr should recuse! He is traveling the world trying to get dirt on Biden from other nations. He was mentioned in the Ukraine phone call. And the list goes on!
Forgot he met with Murdoch... FOX? Partial reporting, pals of dt!

Giuliani's associates tried to cut business deal in Ukraine boasting of Trump tiesLev Parnas and Igor Fruman pushed for the removal of a Ukrainian gas executive hailed for his anti-corruption efforts, two sources say. ** Parnas and Fruman, both born in the former Soviet Union, boasted of their connections to Giuliani and the White House when they invited an executive at Ukraine’s Naftogaz gas company, Andrew Fovorov, for a meeting in Houston in March, where they made their pitch, the sources said. They told Fovorov that they wanted Naftogaz CEO Andriy Kobolev removed and Fovorov to take his place, the sources said. Kobolev had won high praise from U.S. and European officials for his anti-corruption efforts. The two told Fovorov that "they would promote him to replace the current CEO," said the second source familiar with the discussions. They would do that, they said, if he supported their plan to sell American natural gas to Ukraine — a plan that has significant logistical hurdles, the sources said. The men also predicted that the U.S. ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch, would soon be forced out of her job by the White House, and that would help open the way to their proposed deal, according to the two people. Parnas and Fruman alleged the ambassador was an obstacle to U.S. business interests, even though there was no evidence to back that up, Perry said. “That was extremely surprising and disturbing because I found the ambassador to be very professional,” Dale Perry, an American energy executive who does business in Ukraine, told NBC News. “That told me that something didn’t smell right.” ** Parnas and Fruman appeared to have accurate inside information about the administration’s plans. Yovanovitch was abruptly recalled as ambassador two months later, curtailing her scheduled tenure.Yovanovitch’s premature exit from Kyiv is now at the center of an impeachment inquiry by House Democrats, who accuse President Trump of abusing his power to push Ukraine to investigate his political rival, former vice president Joe Biden and his son. Trump has dismissed the inquiry as a "witch hunt" and the White House says it will refuse to hand over documents or cooperate with the congressional probe. ** www.nbcnews.com/politics/justice-department/giuliani-s-associates-tried-cut-business-deal-ukraine-touting-trump-n1064791

A Brief Guide to Giuliani’s Questionable Friends in Ukraine — “Trump, Inc.” Podcast Rudy Giuliani has been looking for “corruption” in Ukraine. It’s easy to find among the very people he’s befriended.by Katie Zavadski and Jake Pearson, ProPublica, and Ilya Marritz, WNYC Oct. 2, 4 a.m. EDT In the past two weeks, we’ve heard a lot about efforts by President Donald Trump and his lawyer, Rudy Giuliani, to push officials in Ukraine to investigate Trump’s opponents. As the news has unfolded, it has introduced us to a litany of unfamiliar characters in both Ukraine and the U.S., many of whom were working with Giuliani or, in some fashion, on behalf of the president. ** One thing that became clear during his travels: Giuliani’s “anti-corruption” efforts involved working with men who have their own questionable histories. ** Corruption…Viktor Shokin was Ukraine’s general prosecutor in 2015, a position akin to attorney general. He was responsible for investigating corruption. But according to U.S. officials, NGOs and the International Monetary Fund, he was not actually doing this. Giuliani has claimed that then-Vice President Joe Biden improperly pushed for Shokin’s removal to avoid an investigation into Biden’s son Hunter, who was on the board of a Ukrainian energy company. There is no evidence that is true.** The Former Prosecutor Who Was Not a Lawyer…Yuriy Lutsenko took over the job of prosecutor general from Shokin in 2016. He got the job after allies in Parliament changed the law to allow the position to be filled by someone without a law degree. Lutsenko has no legal training. Lutsenko once told a reporter that the U.S. ambassador had given him “a list of people whom we should not prosecute.” He later acknowledged that he was the one who asked for such a list. Lutsenko has said he’s spoken with Giuliani “maybe 10 times.” In the middle of one meeting in New York last January in which Giuliani and Lutsenko talked about investigating the Bidens, Giuliani reportedly called Trump to loop him in. In the spring, Lutsenko told a reporter he “would be happy to have a conversation” about Hunter Biden with Attorney General William Barr. Then, last week, he told the Los Angeles Times that he hadn’t found any evidence against the Bidens and said he had told Giuliani that any investigation should be conducted “through prosecutors, not through presidents.”In response to our questions, Lutsenko denied any wrongdoing. He was fired earlier this year. ** The Current Prosecutor Caught on Tape…
Nazar Kholodnytsky is now Ukraine’s top anti-corruption prosecutor. Audio tapes captured Kholodnytsky in unrelated cases coaching a witness to give false testimony and tipping off suspects to police raids. Kholodnytsky acknowledged the tapes were authentic, but said they were taken out of context. Earlier this year, the U.S.’s then-ambassador to Ukraine called for Kholodnytsky’s firing. She explained, “Nobody who has been recorded coaching suspects on how to avoid corruption charges can be trusted to prosecute those very same cases.” (The ambassador, Marie Yovanovitch, was removed from her position shortly after.)Kholodnytsky and Giuliani met in Paris in May 2019. Kholodnytsky told The Washington Post the discussion was private, “prosecutor to a former prosecutor.” Kholodnytsky told the Post that he had questions about the Bidens as well as the prosecution of former Trump campaign chair Paul Manafort. ** Giuliani’s Special Envoys…
Lev Parnas and Igor Fruman are two Ukrainian-American businessmen who have worked with Giuliani and introduced him to the Ukrainian prosecutors. Giuliani has described them as his clients. They went to Ukraine after Giuliani canceled a trip in the wake of a New York Times article that revealed his travel plans. In a detailed story about their work with Giuliani, Parnas told Buzzfeed they did nothing wrong. “All we were doing was passing along information,” Parnas said. He added, “We’re American citizens, we love our country, we love our president.” ** Fruman is well-connected in Ukraine, where he owns a number of businesses, including Mafia Rave, a beach club in Odessa. Fruman and Parnas have been political contributors in the U.S. Last year, they set up a Delaware LLC that weeks later contributed $325,000 to a Trump-allied political group.** More at link: www.propublica.org/article/trump-inc-podcast-rudy-giuliani-friends-in-ukraineAlso podcast Parnas was sued for allegedly defrauding investors in a movie he was involved with, “Anatomy of an Assassin.”

They were arrested! So Guilani was flying to Vienna the next day, Thursday! now, now-- *that's* not suspicious, at all! according to Rachel Maddow (I think-- or maybe it was Chris Hayes?) one of the 'associates' (and I use the term loosely) that Rudy was using to fabricate crap on the Bidens is someone who is under HOUSE ARREST in Vienna!! This guy is fighting extradition to the US on some charge or another and Rudy was getting him to make up sh*t about the Bidens. Whatever 'signed affidavit' that Rudy was waving around over the weekend was from this guy. Totally manufactured, made-up, fiction.

another guy from somewhere in Europe- I'll see if I can find it. (or maybe it was on the progressive Sirius channel...) Edited: I FOUND IT! someone named Dmytro Firtash, a Ukranian gas mogul described in DoJ court filings as an 'upper-echelon {associate} of Russian organized crime' who is detained under House Arrest in Vienna-- he was first detained there on a US arrest warrant in 2014 and is fighting extradition to the US. Apparently Rudy was visiting HIM on a trip he took earlier to Vienna, so they're figuring he's why Rudy was going to Vienna this time, too. ForeignPolicy.com story about Firtash I don't quite understand it all, but it has something to do with an affidavit written by Shokin about Biden's 'dirty dealings' Shokin's witness statement was published online HERE.
ETA2: here's Rachel Maddow's A-Block from last night- she starts talking about Rudy Guiliani and Dmytro Firtash about 13 minutes in.
