I am with my mom this week (she lives in CA, I am in MN) and she is going through chemo. She was feeling pretty good this morning, so we did a little road trip and visited Frank Garcia's studio in Upland, CA. www.frankgarciastudio.com/
It was just lovely, small, but cute and well organized as can be. We met Mr. Garcia and he was so nice! He chatted with us a little, he was getting ready for a big event in the store. I drooled over everything and bought a bunch of stuff, how I am getting it home is beyond me, lol. I tried hard not to fan girl out, but I may have gushed a little when telling him how much I admired his work.
Anyway, it was lots of fun, they we so kind and helpful-we didn't stay super long but I had brought a few things we could work on, so that was cool. It wasn't a traditional scrapstore in that there were tools for use and many different themed sections, (think archivers) but it was great all the same. I hope one day to be able to do the crop weekend. If your ever in the LA area, I HIGHLY suggest driving out there.
