on a daily post? 3 things a day that you do that don’t include technology. And when I mean technology I mean devices that take you to the virtual world like computer, phone or tv.
According to the 13 Moon Calendar that I follow, today started the 13 Day Yellow Human Wavespell. And the words for Yellow Human are: Wisdom, Influence and Free Will. So I thought it would be cool to start a thread going for everyone to share 3 things they did that either could have been done with technology or did one thing instead of the other. For instance, when you felt like watching tv, you read a book instead.
And my intent is not to avoid or be against technology. I just feel as a society that we may have disconnected from ways to connect to the world in a physical manner, rather than a virtual.
I understand by using this site that we are using technology to share our 3 things. To entertain connection to the physical, it can grow from this virtual space into a physical one.
So who’s in?
ETA: Once this thread gets rockin and rollin, I’ll start a list of ideas to connect to the physical for some inspiration. If you want to add to the list, quote this and put what you want to add and I’ll add it. Thank you
Update 10-13 - Red Lunar Skywalker:
This is awesome! I open this page up and on the poll there is 1 yes 5 no and 6 sometimes! 156 is the first page of the chapter in my book about Transcending Technology. KIN 156 is Yellow Cosmic Warrior and one of my managers at work is one and we are totally on the same page. I’m KIN 157 - Red Magnetic Earth, and a good friend of mine whom I first shared this idea with, has a 1:58 birthtime and she lives in Alaska. The time I saw this was 2:44 which is 1:44 her time and the poll says 12 votes by 12 voters (12x12) (144 is a very significant number) Happy Full Moon!

I wrote down a list of things I needed to do before leaving the house. I kept track of the time by using a clock instead of my phone alarm or timer. I shopped without using an app or phone.

Sure count me in For today: created Christmas cards using no electrical tech made a casserole cutting the veggies in it by hand and no technological equipment checked my paper calendar to plan the coming week wrote supplies needed on grocery list on refrigerator door took out trash with using my hands and feet and no tech played with the cat with no tech (no laser light, etc)
AND the list can go on. We all do things everyday without technology. It just helps to recognize it sometimes. Of course if you ask what I did with tech today, the list would probably be long too, though not as long.

- Did a sudoku puzzle in a magazine. - Walked the dog without music or headphones. I do bring the phone for safety reasons, but I don’t look at it. - Went grocery shopping - no app or notes on my phone.

I hear ya! My technology list is pretty long today, but some of the things I did in the virtual world had to do with talking about ways to not be in it as much because as a society we have been using it too much, which is one of the reasons I wanted to start this thread, for motivation and influence.

Made whole foods, plant based chili from my own handwritten recipe Read my hardback book from the library-The Wanderers by Chuck Wendig-almost 800 pages-but I prefer paper books and haven't yet made the move to ebooks. Noted recent migraines in my desk calendar (paper) with an ink pen.

I crocheted. I made a cold lunch. I updated my (paper) diary. I can't buy my favourite diary any more as they've stopped printing them after this year's. I spent most of yesterday using technology (my laptop and printer) to create next year's diary. Does using it count as technology-free?

I use very little " technology" on an every day basis. ( I put technology in brackets as it depends what you mean by the word) I write shopping list with a pen and paper I don't have many apps on my phone and what I do have I use very infrequently. I've used non so far today I wash the kitchen floor with a mop and bucket having swept it with a brush first. I do gardening without technology but DH does use an electric mower to cut the lawn. I did do the laundry in a machine but I hung it outside to dry. I very rarely use my dryer and only then because the of the weather. I have two wind up clocks in my house and a battery operated watch so I don't use my phone for the time. I haven't had my television on so far today but it is only 12.30pm here. I haven't used the car either today.
I think it depends on what you interpret as " technology" though if you want a true answer to everything one does on a daily basis. There's very little one can do without some part of it being classed as "technology" at some time or another.

I swept the deck, back porch, and front walkway.
I cleaned our foyer slate floor by hand, on my knees.
I enjoyed our vivid fall sunrise on our deck and heard squirrels and crickets, and saw the flashing white of a deer’s hiney as he ran into the woods.
I sat for awhile and thought about my life.
