But they know no one will care, so they're just being all "so what?" about it.
Drain the swamp, ha.

They're trying to normalize their corrupt behavior. That's all I've got. Self-impeaching presidency.

Mulvaney is of course trying to walk back his comments now. They are trying to normalize all this bullshit that this administration has been engaging in. Doing it out in the open, "yeah, we are doing that, so what" and the coward republicans are letting them. NO accountability, and every fucking thing out of their mouths accusing Democrats and their children are EXACTLY what the republicans are actually engaging in. MOTHER FUCKERS.

Get over it He says! Mick Mulvaney, the acting White House chief of staff, told reporters that the Trump administration "held up the money" for Ukraine because the President wanted to investigate "corruption" in Ukraine related to a conspiracy theory involving the whereabouts of the Democratic National Committee's computer server hacked by Russians during the last presidential campaign. When pressed on whether the President sought an exchange of favors, Mulvaney said, "We do that all the time with foreign policy." It was the first time the White House acknowledged a link between the withheld aid and probes that Trump sought.
Some Republicans were deeply concerned by Mulvaney's comments.
"You don't hold up foreign aid that we had previously appropriated for a political initiative," said GOP Sen. Lisa Murkowski of Alaska. "Period."Republican Rep. Francis Rooney of Florida called Mulvaney's acknowledgment about withholding Ukraine aid "troubling," saying it is "not a good thing" to do that in connection "with threatening foreign leaders." Rooney would not rule out the prospects of supporting impeaching the President. "I'm not going to say anything about that until all the facts are in," he said. "I remember too many people saying, 'Oh, this is a witch hunt against Richard Nixon,' and come to find out it wasn't a witch hunt."** More at link and video too: www.cnn.com/2019/10/17/politics/republicans-mick-mulvaney-reaction/index.html

The only thing I can come up with is it’s all intentional. After allowing that letter, this admission, allowing the summit at his property...they’re throwing him under the bus on the sly by encouraging bad choices. McConnell met with the House yesterday and assured Pelosi they would be done in the Senate by December if they brought up articles by November. I think they’re ready to ditch Trump and try to run an alternative Republican for 2020. Time is ticking though, they need to move fast. That’s my best guess.

I could buy into that scenario, except ... Mick Mulvaney. His fortunes are currently tied up with Trump’s success. If Trump is impeached/convicted, where would that leave Mulvaney? He gave up his House seat to work in this administration. Now he would have a permanent stain on his record for having worked for a disgraced president, and he would even have contributed to the Trump downfall with today’s press briefing and other reported misdeeds. I think he’s just another dirty, but loyal Trump douchebag.

Because WE THE PEOPLE refuse to vote the enablers out. It is OUR fault! While we have a democratic republic, we get to decide who sits in Congress. We abdicate the responsibility and/or we vote based on LGBT and abortion - we accept all manner of vulgarity, lawlessness, autocracy - so we can pwn the libs and make an, apparently, helpless god happy by denying rights to LGBT and women.

President Trump’s reelection campaign on Friday started selling T-shirts with the slogan “Get Over It,” a reference to recent remarks made by acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney. The campaign rolled out the shirts a day after Mulvaney told reporters at a White House press conference that there’s “going to be political influence in foreign policy” and people should “get over it.” ** thehill.com/homenews/campaign/466506-trump-campaign-sells-get-over-it-t-shirts

I am no longer okay with people who celebrate this kind of attitude.

I am no longer okay with people who celebrate this kind of attitude. It’s okay, because it will become my catch phrase anytime the next Democratic President does anything that the GOP disapproves of. And it shouldn’t be a problem for any of the conspicuously silent right-leaning peas, so we should have at it.
