I'm a movie person.. as long as it is one that I have seen a million times. Usually romantic comedies.

I need noise; I can't be creative in total quiet... for me, it's usually a movie or tv series on DVD. Preferably something I've already seen multiple times so I don't pay too much attention to it. I have tried to watch youtube videos before (real-time scrapping videos, for example) but I find myself getting sidetracked by what's going on and I end up watching the video with my full attention. So I tend to stick to tv shows and movies.
eta: my movies and TV choices are usually long and/or cheesy; the Twilight series, LOTR and Hobbit movies; TV series I have on DVD including Highlander (for the scenery- Adrian Paul, lol!) and the updated Hawaii 5-0 (for the actual scenery!), etc.

If I'm crafting alone at home, sometimes I'll put "Forensic Files" on Amazon Video. How could I forget true crime? The ID channel for background noise. I love the narrator's voice on Forensic Files and American Justice. I looooove the ID channel! Two of my favorite shows have the same narrator: Geoff Pierson, who narrates Murder Book and The Face of Evil.

Add me to the camp of reruns of previously viewed shows or movies cause then I will get sidetracked and start watching whatever I have on. I am one who will also put on Christmas music from Thanksgiving till Christmas and scrap to that!

I do a variety. YouTube, tv (whatever I’m currently I hung or radio (usually a Yacht Rock station).

My favorite thing to listen to while crafting is a Yankees game. By the time baseball season is over, it's usually time for Christmas music (anything from classical to pop). I also like to listen to Spanish Christian pop, Celtic new age, and opera. LOL I sound like a madwoman!
I don't think I could have TV going - I bet I'd end up still and slack-jawed, sucked into some mindless show.

I am distracted by literally any type of noise so while I love the idea of podcasts while I scrap, I don't actually listen to anything.

I do the same thing or shows with easy to follow plots that I don't have to pay super close attention to such as Gilmore Girls, Friday Night Lights, Grey's, etc. This is me. Either a movie I've seen before or a TV show that doesn't necessarily require my full attention all the time. Also Outlander. Repeatedly. I've lost count of how many times I've rewatched that show!
For me it's Outlander...on audiobook though. I can't resist Jamie on the TV show...way too distracting

I try to craft/scrap/sew with silence in the background. There’s usually a dog or two barking, playing, or whining in the background. Sometimes ds is running around and in and out of my craft room. My goal is to keep it as quiet as possible.

My guilty pleasure is the crime programming on the ID channel and Oxygen. I don't enjoy hearing that people are hurt or killed, mind you - I'm satisfied when they catch the bad guy or foil the plan altogether. I find that you only need pay attention to the first five minutes, to find out the plot, and the last two, to confirm the bad guy! I work in the legal field, but not in criminal law, so that may explain part of the attraction. I'm quite content in civil litigation, where the most violent thing that happens is a motion to compel!

I have to listen to something. I used to have Pride and Prejudice playing, the Colin Firth version, until my DVD wore out in the part where Elizabeth and Lady Catherine are having it out in the garden. Of all places! I need a new one. Now I listen to podcasts. Mostly true crime but I also like Wooden Overcoats, Victoriocity, and The Earful Tower for some variety. I listened to the first episode of The Office Ladies and I liked it.

podcast (Office Ladies is new and it was good. I listened to the first episode of The Office Ladies and I liked it. Yesss! I'm an Office Ladies fan too. So excited that they have this opportunity. I was relieved that the Pilot episode was good - I figure they'll only get better from here on. I can only listen to podcasts and audiobooks when I'm doing the crafty stuff if my project doesn't involve words. Once I get to titles or journaling or hard decisions I need to switch to music or silence or Hallmark romances -- surprised no one has mentioned watching October Kiss or the Snow Bride for the eleventy-billionth time! >.<

In general, I prefer silence when I am home.
I work in a noisier, talking, interacting with colleagues and clients, type atmosphere, overhead lower volume music on. I go to the gym, where there is >> loud overhead music on, so I listen to my music via earphones or try to muffle the "gym noise" with ear plug(doesn't help much)...why does the gym have play the overhead music so loud?, especially when the majority of people listen to their own music on their own device) Doing errands, I encounter noise >> talking, bickering, overhead music, kids being loud and shrieking, people using speaker phone-playing video games-watching youtube- etc...on their phones.
I have noise sensory issues. By the time I arrive home for the day, I am so ready for quiet and calm. I usually drive home from work in silence.
No endless non-stop background noise allowed in my home.

I scrap in silence, have crafty youtube videos playing (preferably long videos where the action is slow - Shimelle's facebook live videos are perfect for this), or listen to podcasts. And like many others, I have to turn it off while I write my journaling.

Glorious silence for me! I’m easily distracted by sounds, so although I sometimes have a movie marathon of something I’ve seen many times (HP, Hunger Games), I often still find myself sitting and watching the movie. Music is good, but I’d rather have silence.

Hope you had a marvelously creative day no matter what your choice of background sound was. The good thing about scrapping alone at home is that YOU get to choose.
I prefer "glorious silence" when I am doing something that requires me to plan and think and make decisions. Or a general hum like a fan. At a crop, the chatter of the other participants often forms a kind of generic background noise that I relax into. If there is music, I hope it is without lyrics, so again generic and in the background.

Okay, I lied. Well not really. I never listen to anything but I am so obsessed with this husband/wife that I bought 3 of their albums, and I am having a wonderful time of worship while I create. Oh so amazing!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DjIkYaZQi8

Oh so amazing!!! www.youtube.com/watch?v=8DjIkYaZQi8They have lovely voices! We sing those songs often at our church and I really enjoy them. I got sucked into YouTube videos by The Minimalist Mom so I got a bit distracted. I’m still counting my 7 pages done as a win! And I’m motivated to carve out more time during the week to scrap more often!

I binge watch Netflix on my laptop while I scrap. For some reason, listening to music isn't conducive to scrapbooking for me.
My bestie watches You Tube scrapping videos while she scraps. I can't do that because I need to focus all my attention on one or the other. I find old an old series that I've seen a million times (think Glee!) that I don't have to pay close attention to works the best.

Also subbed to the Office podcast, that's my fave show to just binge while I scrap. Also love soundtracks, like Hamilton or Chicago. Just fun to humm along to and they tell a story you can wander in and out of.

I need tv. Same as most of you. Stuff I don't have to pay attention too. I have done that 70's show, grace under fire, I'm on married with children now.
Or movies I have seen.
