I am doing a "Costume Caper" 5K on Saturday. I have a batman type of shirt with a cape and then regular bat accessories like earrings, glasses and headband. After that I work a full shift at the bakery and then plan to at least go to part of a Meetup costume bar crawl. I know a girl and her guy friend that are going so that should be fun if I'm not too tired.
Then, on Sunday, I plan to go on another Meetup event led by a friend that involves a 5 mile hike and probably a bite to eat after. Following that, I plan to crash!
The weather has been cool and somewhat rainy here this week but is supposed to warm up some.
What are your weekend plans and how's the weather in your area?

Good luck at your craft show too. My goal for my 5K is just to reduce my time at each event. I have done four or five so far and I have accomplished that but as I improve, it gets a bit more challenging. I haven’t done that well on the training but I hope to get back into it as my ultimate goal is to run the entire thing by my birthday in August.

Hopefully you can have some fun this weekend. I know how sometimes those things go though. It’s hard to get motivated to enjoy it but sometimes I end up having a better time than I thought I would. I hope that’s your case too.

I'm doing the Light the Night 5k walk for blood cancer research tomorrow evening with DH and DS. I will be exhausted on Sunday, so will do absolutely nothing that day.

Usually I do a huge Halloween party with any where from 30-60 people but this year we are just having a family Halloween dinner. We are dressing up though, so that will be fun.
I am doing a Spooky Sprint 5K next weekend. I will probably just wear my witch headband and silly socks for a costume.

Golf cart parade thru our village of 800 homes...The Villages has over 80 villages. Must wear costume. Parade stops at four cul de sacs for margaritas, beer and pretzels, wine and cheese and finally dessert. Lots of the carts will also be decorated. First time for us but should be fun.

All my Halloween activities are next week and the following. Saturday, I'll be photographing our annual Howl-O-Ween dog park event on Saturday, then a huge costume party that night. On Halloween, out to a local restaurant on our Main Street for dinner and drinks and to watch the trick-or-treaters and then a Day of the Dead party on Nov 1, with costumes.
DH has been in the Czech Republic all week and returns today. We're going to drop off stuff tonight for our HS marching band annual tag sale tomorrow and then we're going to our favorite local brew pub because they're having a lobster food truck.

The car club is doing another HS homecoming parade tonight. Not really looking forward to this one as the temp today is suppose to top out at just 60 and it's really windy. I have a feeling the girls are going to have to ride inside the cars instead of on top.
Tomorrow I plan on doing some more yard work and moving my deck furniture to the porch if the weather cooperates.

I’m doing my second craft show this weekend Cool! What do you sell?
Im headed to Colorado Springs in the am with some girlfriends to celebrate my 40th birthday (early). Ugh, I know the feeling. Birthdays haven't been a big deal to me since I was 10.
I'm forcing my youngest to socialize in public (he has Autism) and we are going to a pumpkin walk. Each year there's a theme like funny, movies, or the eighties. They decorate scenes with pumpkins and other gourds. I personally find it quite entertaining. The therapist is even coming along, because I don't anticipate a happy child. Then there's my other child who has Autism. MOM, MOM, MOM!!! LOOK AT THIS! THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO CUTE! MOM MOM MOM!

We don't have any plans, but I'm sooo excited that I MIGHT get to decorate tomorrow. I have to rely on DH to get all my decorations down from the attic, and he was too busy today, but hopefully, tomorrow. As soon as I see that CUTE vampire Snoopy, the creepy green hand reacher, (the hand looks and feels very real, AND it can actually grab things, so we have silly fun with it) and other stuff, I'll be very happy! I'm also excited about seeing the newest addition to my decors that I got last year; this green spider web and skeleton that glow in the dark

No fun Halloween plans this weekend but I am working on Halloween costumes tonight. I dug an old baby blue polyester tuxedo of my husband's out that my son wants to wear this year and it had a lot brown spots on it (sort of like wedding dress get on them when stored) so I took the plunge and washed it in the machine and put it in the dryer! I thought for sure I would ruin it... but it just came out of the dryer looking perfect, fresh & ready to go a 1975 senior prom!!

Not fall or Halloween related, but we headed to Atlanta for the Carrie Underwood concert and it was awesome! It’s a birthday present for DH and a big thank you for taking care of me the last 18 months (I had a double mastectomy last October and chemo before that).

Mesh, some grapevine. I’m focusing on getting a nice inventory of Fall, Christmas and winter wreaths. I have a good bit of Halloween so I’m slacking off making more since it’s just around the corner. My show today went decent..sold 7 which I feel is good because there wasn’t a lot of people that came since it was in the 30s for a good part of the morning  (I froze lol!) I think from here on out I’ll be doing inside shows until Spring. Here are a few of them..I’m working on learning to take better pics of them but I’m working with a white foam board and crappy old iPhone lol View AttachmentView Attachmentthose are awesome

NoWomanNoCry, the wreaths are adorable. Currently, we're watching a football game. Last night we watched Toy Story 4, a very cute movie. It's been a quiet weekend. Dh has been changing out the fixtures in our back bathroom. The new ones look really nice, but we need to rennovate that bathroom sooner rather than later. We're going to need to replace the shower and the walls need a lot of work.

momx1 ....I hope you're recovering well after going through all of that! What a great way to celebrate. peano ......Ohhh, have a blast at "HOWL-o-ween" ....if you can, I'd LOVE to see piks from your event next weekend. I love LOVE Halloween anything, especially DOGGIE events! I'm hoping to take our doggies next weekend. Our friend has 3 bulldogs, and she comes up with the most UNIQUE, FUN costumes for them! I also get a kick out of the fun names..."BARKtoberfest" etc. betty .....I would LOVE to see a pik of that 1975 tux !!! And, you must have been THRILLED that the washer and dryer didn't ruin it, and that it didn't shred / disintegrate , etc. NoWomanNoCry ......Your dolls are so cute. scrapmaven .....I had no idea there were FOUR "Toy Stories!" We've only seen bits and pieces of the first one, but someday, DH and I will watch all of 'em. Today would be perfect (the no driving is getting to me a bit---arrggh!), but DH is outside with alllll this power tools out, busy with his new project. I truly appreciate / marvel at ALLL the cool things he's built (the deck, two storage "houses" (I call them cozy little COTTAGES, they're so cute, and he even adds windows) on his own, and designs himself!). And I also appreciate how he takes such great care of the yard, landscaping, cleaning up the "gifts" that the doggies leave in the yard, the trees, the house, AND he intermittently works on a major project to avoid run-off from rain, etc. BUT......as I often tell him---I LOVE it when winter arrives, and he spends more time inside and is forced to chill out and relax. Add a cozy fire and 2 sweet "puppsh" and it's the BEST! The thing is, he LOVES being outside and doing stuff, so he's not thrilled to be indoors in the winter . Maybe when we get our first snow (yipppeee!!!) he'll watch all 4 of those with me! We also LOVE movies about doggies.....even though they're usually sad at some point, we still love to watch 'em. We have a joke that we wish there could be JUST ONE doggie movie that has NO sad parts, but we don't think it exists !
