Any bully else have scrapbooks of their pets? I started these several years ago, and hadn't scrapped in a long time. Recently, I made a few new layouts and wow----I'd forgotten how much I LOVE scrapbooking!!! These are NOT current layouts, I'm just sharing a few from when my babies were puppiesss!!! Meaty is now almost ELEVEN , and Sophie is eight and a half now. WHERE did the years go ! ? ! ? ! ? Aside from these separate albums, they (and the babies we've fostered / hospice adopted ) are also in many MANY other layouts of my everyday albums. I'd love to see yours !!!
I LOVE Meaty's album with the paw prints--especially because the paws are soft like faux velvet. On Sophie's album cover, I realllly wanted polka-dots, and did a crummy job painting them myself....LOL....butttt, I can't obsess over it any longer.

If I was more efficient and better about putting layouts away they would have their own albums, but as it is they just have layouts in the scrapbooks or in the pile of complete layouts waiting to be put away. But, there a lot of layouts of them that is for sure! I love scrapbooking my pets.
Your layouts are great, and the albums are super cute!

We lost our 15 year old dog in January and got another dog the same month. DH obviously doesn't believe in a mourning period. I started an album for the new dog just for my husband. He is ridiculously in love with this dog. I think it's because we're at the age when we would normally be getting grandkids and that isn't going to happen. He treats the puppy like another child. The rest of the animals we've had/have just make appearances in my regular albums.

So cute! Bully’s have so much personality.
Mine definitely make into my albums but they don’t have dedicated ones. I’d love to make a mini album of our foster dogs that we’ve had.

Riker has pages in my regular book and he typically ends up with 2-8 photos in my PL each month. He doesn't get his own book. He's a jerk who wouldn't appreciate it.

I'm allergic to cats and dogs, but we've had three different puppies visit us at our house to help my son get used to animals. He's not afraid, but annoyed when they try to interact with him . I'll be watching this thread.

Wanted to add I have a cross stitch die, and I did this paw print for when I do the pages.

Right now all of my pet layouts are just mixed in my regular albums. Eventually my plan is to get several albums in one style and color just for the horses. And then another same style different color for the cats. Then a third color for my "everyday" albums.

I have first year books for my pups since I started scrapping. After that, most pictures just start going into the yearly books. I just put pictures down on a fall layout I have started. I took a few yesterday of the pups helping me clean up the gardens.

cute pages!
No separate books for pets here - we have had too many pets. I don't even do separate albums for my kids though (except their first year and then once they move out). There are lots of pet pages in my family albums though

I’d love to make a mini album of our foster dogs that we’ve had. Awww.....that's sweet! I've only done a few pages of fosters thus far; mainly because M and S's albums are sooo behind! I still cannot scrapbook our last hospice foster, because I still cry every time I think of him. We euthanized him almost 3 years ago, but it still seems like yesterday. But someday he WILL get some layouts dedicated to him On a MUCH happier note, I did this about 2 months ago of our foster Daphne! It's hard to tell, but the doggie at the top is our Sophieeee (with brown facial fur), and every other photo is Daphne (mostly white fur). Sophie was MAD that I let Daphne wear HER outfit! He doesn't get his own book. He's a jerk who wouldn't appreciate it. Yeaaa, whenever I ask "da puppsh" if they like the papers I used, or the embellishments, the placement of the photos, etc....they just stare at me and don't answer! I guess they're jerks, too! lisacharlotte .....Awww, I'm so sorry about your 15-year-old guy! Ugh, I always say it isn't FAIR how short their lives are!!! I love that your DH is so thrilled to have a new doggie, though! Ours are getting up in age, and.....ugh, I can't even fathom what it's going to be like. We've been through 2 foster losses, which were/ are heartbreaking, (we had NO idea how attached you can get to a doggie that's only lived with ya for a few months!!!), but since we've had M & S since puppyhood....well, I'll just stop typing now!

Glad you are finding joy in scrapping again, scrappintoee! And those are really cute puppy pics! Thanks for sharing. I scrap pets occasionally, but those pages just go into my albums for that time period.

Well, I bought a 6x8 pocket page album to start an album for my sweet girl that passed away 2 years ago. We’ve had several dogs, but my princess was special. She was most definitely my girl and I was most definitely her human. I still tear up sometimes thinking about her. I bought an album to put her pictures in, her paw prints in, and a few cards that I got when she died. Our vet sent a sweet card and also donated to our local zoo in her name—which we received a card from the zoo.
I have three dogs now and it’s weird—they are spoiled up and down and all around, but I don’t have that special bond. Sometimes I feel badly that my current dogs aren’t “as loved.”
Then I have to remember that one dog is attached to my dad (who visits several times a year) and to my mil (who lives with us part time.)
Another one of our current dogs has decided that my dh is her person and she follows him around. He spoils her rotten and she sleeps on a memory foam mattress in my son’s room—away from the other two dogs who sleep in our room. She has to have her own diva bed so there isn’t a battle over who gets the good beds in our room. (We have three dog beds in our room.)
The third is a Bassett that is long and skinny with the droopiest long ears and big brown eyes. He gets attention all the time. He walks up to people, looks them in the eye, then rolls over so people can rub his belly.
They are all getting up in age and I’m sure I’ll be sad when the time comes, but man, I still miss my sweet girl. Sigh.
I have pictures and layouts of all of them, but only one will get her own album. The others will have pages or maybe even sections in other albums.

We’ve had several dogs, but my princess was special. She was most definitely my girl and I was most definitely her human. Have you heard the term "heart dog"? It sounds like that's what she was to you. Yes, my dogs have all had their own albums, even when I was a kid. I would love to show you those, but I have to think about where they are stored. I actually made little books with construction paper covers and clipped hair samples from different places, wrapped them in saran wrap, and taped them in. Once I locate the books, I shall create clones of my childhood dogs! Muahaha!

Once I locate the books, I shall create clones of my childhood dogs! Muah ha ha! OMG......that is SO sweet !!!! What a precious TREASURE from your childhood! I would LOVE to see piks whenever you find 'em. ComplicatedLady .....Awww! (( hugs )) I totally GET IT !! Since Meaty was our first doggie ever, and DH is DEFINITELY his person, I have a feeling DH will feel just like you do ! I know it's going to break my heart, too (obviously!), but I do wonder if it'll be even worse for DH! We had NO IDEA that dogs could mean SO much to us! I'm embarrassed to admit that I even used to MAKE FUN of people who were "wayyyy too into their dogs!" If you ever feel like sharing, I'd love to see piks of your princess! So far, we only know the heartache of losing a sweet foster that only lived with us for 10 months. Almost 3 years later, and I still can't talk about or think about him without crying. Lotsa (( hugs )) to you!

While I have layouts of pets in chronological albums, I have saved tons of stuff to do a pets album. I plan to do it someday. I have everything to do it but time.

Mine does not.
I scrapbook chronologically January through December, by year. My cat is included in those scrapbooks.
I usually use her pages as filler pages, if or when I have a gap due to a two spread needing to go together.

I've done pages for every single pet we've been owned by, even emergency fosters that only stayed a couple of days. My red claw crab molting page, still grosses my kids out, 10 years later . The only fur baby that has her own scrapbook is our puppy we rescued from Puerto Rico. We committed to adopting one of the puppies the day her pregnant mama was rescued, and I started documenting her journey to the mainland. Honestly, it's probably more detailed than the documentation of my pregnancies and births of my tailless children. I'm switching rooms with DD and all my books are in tubs. I'll poke around this week and look for them.

I just incorporate layouts into my kids albums. They each have an esa/therapy shih tzu. I do birthday layouts, Christmas layouts, them being silly or cute together, doing their medical jobs.

Yes they do They all share an album until there is enough of them for their own. My Samoyed has his own album because it’s mostly his training and activities and it’s mostly project life style.

Such great layouts, @scrappintoe. My animals don't have their own album. They get put into the family albums. Unless it's them and one child, then it goes into the child's album.

Yes, I have a scrapbook, (ongoing) for my minpin, Trixie. I'd love to put some pics of my pages here but I am *still* having so much trouble posting pics, even though I have had help. I will try and do a pic of her though.

Oh, your cat layouts are so cute! I always stick to neutral, grey, kraft etc but I just might start using some bright and light backgrounds. Most of our cats were tabby/black and a few grey. And I love your use of the cut files- I actually have quite of few of them and haven't used them. I love the speech bubble one- can see using it with our current cat and put in all the quotes we imagine her saying!! Thanks for sharing. Corinne
