OK, silly question, but what do you write in your exchange cards? I made up some little address labels (the ones that are 80 to a sheet) with my real first name and my board name. So I stick those in there and sign my name. I use store bought cards, so they usually have some sentiment inside.

I got my first 40 in the mail today. I'm a little giddy to think my cards are on their way all over the world! This is my favorite game ever!

I got my first card yesterday!! Woah, early! I'm ready to send mine but I thought I should wait until after Thanksgiving. But I could put them in the mail any time... I guess maybe I should put the global ones in the mail next week before we head out and send the domestic ones after the holiday weekend?

Can I just say I love making the cards but hate doing the addresses & stamps. Blech! It's a lot of work! I did a mail merge thing online to get the labels printed out and it was STILL a pain to get them all stuck onto the envelopes! And then I realized I had to do the return labels too. I do enjoy the postage stamps though. Not sticking them, but I like that they're little artworks. I put something good on TV or YT and just tried to power through.

I’m mailing mine tomorrow. I agree printing labels etc is a pain and the only ones I have turned out to not be very sticky so I had to secure them all with tape.

I spent last weekend at a crop and made 115 or so cards. They’re not works of art but some of them are pretty awesome!
I bought 100 stamps for US and 20 “global”. Do any of the US peas know if I can use these for Canada as well as UK, NZ and Australia?
This is my first year participating and am looking forward to happy mail showing up. It’s been a really awful fall with my husband and my ex (my kid’s Dad) passing away 5 weeks apart.

I have participated twice before but opted not to this year for two main reasons: 1. the cost: as I am in Portugal, EVERYONE else on the list is an international for me and therefore the price of sending to everyone would be too much for me at this time of year. 2. last year there were some comments made about International peas not sending out cards, which were unfair and ridiculous, and although a lot of Peas came out in support of international peas it still kind of spoiled things for me. It isn't common to send cards in my country, but because I was brought up in the UK I have always missed this Christmas tradition. I also love making cards. Anyway, I signed up for the card swap on the Ali Edwards facebook group as we only have to send to two people on the list. This is fun as I like to add extra goodies to the envelope too. I genuinely wish everyone a lot of fun with this card swap and a merry Christmas too!

I need to get to the post office and mail my international cards. I'll wait until after Thanksgiving to mail my US cards.
I will admit to a bit of writer's cramp after signing addressing some of my cards yesterday!

joteves you’re on my big list! 😁 I decided to add internationals from previous years to my list. I understand the cost to mail to the states is very dear.

Thanks lisacharlotte that's really kind of you! Even though I am not participating in the swap, I did add a few Peas to my personal mailing list too!

Use the global stamps for Canada. You will be getting lots of happy mail and it will help lift your spirits! I have as much fun looking at the stamps & return addresses as I do the cards. There’s something so happy about seeing tangible evidence of the peas existence spreading around the world!

I never knew about Global stamps until I went to the post office to mail my international cards. I was happy to see they were only $1.15. I thought it would be more!

Global stamps work for any country. Yep. I believe the weight limit is 2 ounces to Canada (and maybe mexico), 1 ounce all other destinations.

I'm working on the addressing part now, after putting it off for the last couple of weeks, but I'm determined to get the cards in the mail this week.

I've picked up one card from the post office so far (I think from nlwilkins) but as lovely as it was I haven't opened it yet! I'm going to save it for when we get back from Thanksgiving. I've set it aside in the box I use to hold all the Pea cards (which is coated with glitter! ) I'm excited to open it! I sent my global cards out the other day and I'll pop the US cards in the mail Monday morning, I think, before we travel to see the family.

Wait, do the cards have to be designer looking? Becuase I have a daughter with Down Syndrome and she's been helping me make cards for "our new friends" but some of them do look like she's been helping me. I would be devastated to read snarky comments about how my cards look when we've been having such a blast making them. Thwarth, I got your card earlier this week and enjoyed both the card and the sentiment inside.

You are a lucky one becuase I could only get her to make about 60 cards before she lost interest! Merry Christmas.
