I have my HS yearbooks (class of 87), my middle school yearbooks and my elementary school yearbooks. I do like to look through them once every 5 yrs or so when I'm cleaning and moving things in the basement.

Yes, I do, and many from my high school lost theirs in Katrina, so I'm glad I do. My college yearbook is online, which is very handy.

Yes. I also inherited my father's when he died. Recently my cousin sent me a link to a site that has scanned copies of my school's yearbooks going back to the 1950s. Pretty cool!

Nope. Tossed it out years ago. I just don’t get the nostalgia of keeping them. I guess I’m just not a sentimental person.

I do too, in a bin under the stairs. Class of '82. I went to a small high school, so 7-12 were all in one book.
My kid(s) go/went to the same high school, but now 10-12 are in one hardcovered book and 7-9 are in a soft covered book.
We did not have elementary school yearbooks, but they do now, so both DS will have k-12.

Yes I just looked at it recently because I ran into an old friend then could not find her on facebook because I was spelling her name wrong.
I went to the same high school as my mom and I remember looking at her old yearbooks when I was in high school - it was fun to see some of the same teachers.

I have mine from 6th grade through 12th. When I was growing up I loved looking a my mother’s yearbooks all the time and thought my children would do the same. I don’t know that my daughter ever looked at any of them. I should get rid of them - just taking up space at this point.

I have all 4 high school yearbooks and all 4 college yearbooks. I have helped plan the last 3 high school reunions, so the high school yearbooks are handy. One classmate scanned our yearbook and we had it on a TV at the last reunion. Could not tell you the last time I looked at the college yearbooks.

Here, you only purchase a yearbook if you are a Senior. No underclassmen buy them. I have mine and my husband's (different schools) in a box under my bed. I also have my 3 from Junior High but those were freebies and thin... not a nice yearbook (although they are filled with our graduating pictures, albeit everything is in b&w). Fun to look back on. My kids go to the same Junior High I went to and now they actually do a nice, colorized, hardcover yearbook for graduating 8th graders. I think it was about $50 or so. bdawnb Funny, I did the same. My Mom has one yearbook since her and my Dad graduated together. As a kid, I had everyone in that thing memorized! lol My kids NEVER ask to see mine. Party poopers! The books usually only come out because its me trying to show them I had some of the same teachers that they currently do. They never seem as interested in this fact as I am though.

High School was incredibly painful for me. I tossed all memories of it long ago, or so I thought. Just this weekend I found that I’d kept one. I don’t k oh why I did-it wasn’t even my senior yearbook. The only thing t I could think of is that I kept it because I was the editor. It brought me no joy or nostalgia to see it again. I opened it to show my son my photo and then closed it back up again.
I do have positive HS memories, but they never cross my mind when I think of High School. :/
