'uneducated'. I'm guessing there are PLENTY of young voters who are far more educated than some of their elders. And do you think they're running out to register the 'educated' on college campuses? What a sad statement by a group that vehemently believes they support democracy. Their ignorance not allowing them to understand that true democracy means 1 person = 1 vote. NOT 1 person (who is your age, ethnicity, religion, political party) = 1 vote.   |

They're using "uneducated" as a dog whistle for non-white in this case. Democratic affiliation rises with educational attainment level.

Why not just straight up ban women and POC from voting?
Only let white men over 45 vote, preferrably only registered members of GOP.
Seriously though..... this train of thought that they want to restrict certain people from voting is turning the clock back quite a few years.
It's scary to think they actually believe this is a good thing.
Well, I guess it is a good thing for the ones already privileged.
I'm from a country that has been governed with a strong sense of socialism for a long time. We are doing pretty good. Our wealth and resources are in general spread out pretty evenly among the people (free health care, free higher education etc) I have never understood why this is such a scary way to live? Is it hard to feel good about yourself when all of your neighbors are your equal? Do you NEED to feel superior to someone?

In a nutshell: if he can't understand it (higher education, volunteering, anything besides Fox News talking points) or doesn't like it (anything that might mean old whitey doesn't get his way anymore), he finds a way to demean it. I'm the first in my family to graduate from college, but according to him, that just means I'm a lazy liberal who isn't capable of honest, manual labor. Because "liberals don't want to work." |
