I watched the 20/20 show and was shocked at the extreme abuse. How did Ruby and her husband get so brainwashed by the other lady? Is the dad trying to get custody of the kids? I watched most of it last night. Cruel doesn't even begin to describe their treatment. The poor little girl couldn't even brush her teeth without being watched because they were afraid she would STEAL WATER.
If you haven't watched the full interview with their father, look it up online. His behavior is very odd, and I personally think he knew something was going on. I also think Ruby and Jodi were in a relationship and that's what lead him to be pushed out of the home.

This whole incident makes me furious. Someone should've gone with him. The bouncers shouldn't have let him leave alone in that condition. I don't care that it happens all the time, somebody should've stepped up and made sure he got back to the hotel. I told my friends, for the cost of an Uber a life would've been saved.

The day that William bowed out of his godfather's memorial service, I wonder if that's when she found out?
I really feel for her; cancer is such a scary disease, but I think it's moreso for a mother with young children.

I'm sure along with wanting their privacy, they were worried about their children. They needed time for them to understand that she is going to be okay, etc. without all the media spewing doom and gloom, scaring them to death. I completely understand that, but I absolutely cringe when I see the Rose affair stuff come up - or what other crazy conspiracy theories were out there. Same. It makes me so angry that people wouldn't just leave it alone and let her recover with the timeline that was originally given. But, the world loves drama.

Honestly, if they had just released a simple statement, I'm sure along with wanting their privacy, they were worried about their children. They needed time for them to understand that she is going to be okay, etc. without all the media spewing doom and gloom, scaring them to death.

I just saw this so I'm too late, but I would've declined and replied to ALL parties, including her, saying "this is outside of my known working hours."
Also, listen to those above who are saying to start enforcing your boundaries. If you don't do it, no one will do it for you.
(I don't even know this woman, but I can't stand her.)

I'm on 20mg and no side effects. My dr started me on 40mg and I had terrible leg pain. He cut the dosage to 20 and the pain went away and my cholesterol is normal now.

The first time my neurologist did mine she went too low on my forehead and I couldn't move my eyebrows for about 6 weeks. I felt like I looked mad all the time. The last time I saw her, I think she got a little too close to my left eye and sometimes it didn't open as wide as my right, especially when I was tired. I didn't notice it anymore after 4-5 weeks. I've been getting botox shots all over my head for migraines for I think 4 years now, and those are the only two times I've had "issues".

I listened to The Auschwitz Escape by Joel C. Rosenberg. SO good! It came up as a suggested book for me and it was a winner. I was still thinking about the characters three days after I finished. 5 stars

I don't know why she left - I must have missed something. (and this isn't me asking why.)
I like her SO much and she has always been incredibly kind to me. I miss her and I hope she and her family are okay.
I didn’t either but went and read her last post. Her view on a pea here was spot on Wow. Just wow. I understand now.

I've been with my company for 24 years. The only person who has been here longer than me is the owner.
I'm not planning on going anywhere; as long as I live in this area, this is where I'll work. I couldn't ask for a better boss or work environment. My hours aren't stringent; I can take off when I want; no one micro-manages anyone; I can bring my dog to work!; and I think probably the most important - everyone gets along! All of my coworkers are enjoyable to be around and are such nice people.

My mom got stuck in a restaurant bathroom stall, the door latch wouldn't release. She fortunately had her phone and called the restaurant for help! Last month while I was on vacation, I was momentarily stuck in a bathroom stall on a cruise ship. I couldn't get the door to open, and the stall door was about 3" from the floor and 3" from the ceiling - no chance of crawling under or over. I started to panic and kept wiggling the lock and pushing/pulling on the door. It finally opened and I was so relieved! I'm sure the amount of alcohol in my system had nothing to do with it. Nothing whatsoever.

there is wrong all around here How long were the children alone in the car? How old was the sister? How can a ten year old be held accountable when he had no options other than wetting his pants? Yes, what he did was wrong, but it should have been his mother who was held responsible, not the child. Leaving her children in a car so long that the ten year old needed to relieve urgently.
Frankly, leaving children in a car alone without an adult is not something parents should not do. I agree with this while still not agreeing with what the officers did. FFS, I wonder how many times each of them has taken a leak outside? The first officer could've just talked to the boy and explained that's not something he needed to do in public, and then had a talk with the mother about what happened and leaving her kids in the car alone. But no, they had to be jerks and now all this has happened.

Intentionally leaving bad reviews to hurt other Authors, is malicious and heinous. I agree! Emily Giffin had people leave bad reviews on one of her books because she was outspoken about the latest presidential election. They were doing it even before the book was published. She's a great person and I love her books, but there were people who thought she should just write her books and shut up about anything else.

FYI, I looked up The Way I used to Be and there is a sequel, The Way I Am Now. The TikToker who suggested the book, ended her review with, "...but remember, don't.read.the.sequel" so I'm a bit apprehensive.

I read Ready Or Not by Cara Bastone. Another romance novel but a very good one. Eve Hatch lives for surprises! Just kidding. She expects every tomorrow to be pretty much the same as today. She loves her cozy apartment in Brooklyn, close to her childhood best friend Willa and far from her traditional midwestern family, who have never really understood her. While her job is only dream adjacent, it's comfortable and steady. She knows what to expect from life-until she finds herself literally expecting after an uncharacteristic one-night stand. Now Eve's loyal friendship with Willa is feeling tense, and it's actually Willa's steadfast older brother, Shep, who steps up to help. He's always been friendly, but now he's ordering her surprise lunches, listening to all her complaints, and is....suddenly kinda hot? Then there's the baby's father, who is (technically) supportive but (majorly) conflicted. Maybe it's her surging hormones, maybe it's the way Shep's shoulders look in a T-shirt but Eve starts to wonder if she's been secretly desiring more from every aspect of her life. Over the course of nine months, as Eve struggles to figure out the right next step in her expanding reality, she learns that family and love, in all forms can sneak up on you when you least expect it. I really loved most of the characters, the story and everyone woman deserves a Shep in their life. I have two for this week, the first one being this book, Ready or Not. I started out really liking it, but somewhere in the middle I got major ick from Shep, and then it bled over to Eve. There were parts I enjoyed, but overall I didn't love it. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator's performance was excellent though! For that reason I rated it 3 stars.
Next up was an older book (2016), The Way I Used to Be by Amber Smith. I follow a woman on TikTok, I think her name is StephReadsaLot maybe? and she made a post about the books that made her cry the most, this book was one of those. It was the complete opposite of the previous book - started out meh, didn't love the narrator, but it ended up with me not wanting to put it down.
"All Eden wants is to rewind the clock. To live that day again. She would do everything differently. Not laugh at his jokes or ignore the way he was looking at her that night. And she would definitely lock her bedroom door."
The main character is assaulted (so obvious trigger warnings) and the book follows her and shows how she deals with it over her next four years of high school. It reminded me somewhat of My Dark Vanessa. I grew to be very invested in Eden, and she'll stay with me for a long time. 5 stars.
Now on the search for another can't-put-it-down read.

I read another article that stated the restaurant violated their own privacy policy by using the patron's personal information from the reservation to track him down on social media. Not cool.
In today's world, the restaurant owner should've fully thought through the consequences before contacting the customer. It doesn't take a genius to see how it could go south.

I got in with the impossible-to-get-an-appointment-with neurologist about 15 years ago and she changed my life. I take a mixture of preventative meds every day and get Botox every three months. When I get a headache I take Maxalt ODT, two excedrine, drink a coke, and power through as normal. Usually it's gone within an hour. I've found if I stay in bed, the pain stays and is harder to go away.

In fact, on this thread, littlemama said it is $30 to feed her family of three at Wendys already. That's nuts for fast food. I watched a TikTok this morning where a man said he and his wife went to Taco Bell and each had a normal sized meal and a drink; their bill was $32 dollars. $32. For Taco Bell.
