I would dig a hole and bury it. Kind of like composting.

I have a friend who collects the single use bags from all of her friends. She them sends them to some lady she knows who crochets them into sleeping mats for the homeless. Win/win in my opinion.

I have a Gladiator (the Jeep truck). I love it! It is a 2021 80th Anniversary edition. It came nicely loaded. It has a much smoother ride than the Wrangler due to its longer wheel base. I live close to the beach, I love the beach, and so it is the perfect ride for me.
I too believe in “Jeep hair, don’t care!”

We cruise Carnival. We started with them because their schedule aligned with ours and continues too. We tend to book 90 days or less out, so it works for us.
Lately I have been cruising solo more than with the Mister because of his work and my need to cruise. We gamble so we get great offers.
I used to use a travel agent, but COViD happened and her business died. I just recently went thru one of Carnival’s PVPs. Before that I just booked thru their site, not much difference unless you like talking to a person. Carnival charges double fare minus one set of port fees and one set of gratuitys to cruise solo.
I’ve got the packing down pretty good these days. Facebook pages and Cruise critic will recommend you bring a bunch of extra stuff like hooks, and other storage stuff; I have found them not necessary unless you have 3 or more in your room. The shampoo and body wash sucks so bring your own.
Three to five day cruises are usually more party time, longer cruises not so much. Longer cruises are an older crowd usually, they are the ones who have the extra time to cruise.
There is no difference in price booking thru a travel agent or directly. To get deals, even if you haven’t cruises before, sign up for whatever cruise company you think you might use rewards program. Make sure you sign in even if you are just exploring, they will send you offers. They are still recovering from COVID and want your business.

My husband travels for work and last year he was in Tampa. We rented a trailer in an RV park that was about that size. It wasn’t nearly as nice, but it worked for us. Who am I kidding it wasn’t as nice at all, thank golden rod bathtub. The owner of the park kept up with the maintenance it was just old and tired.
I think if we got rid of a lot of stuff, it would be doable. It is expensive though.

Either works. I have 4 setup in my house on my account. They can all play the same music at the same time or on just one at a time. You can also “drop in” on each one kind of like an intercom. So many things they can do.

My daughter is doing jewel tones. She told me I could wear and jewel tone color I wanted except poop brown, also no silver.
Poop brown with silver is not really in my wheel house, so no problem there. I am wearing a light purple dress. Think light amethyst.

It is a balmy 93 here in coastal Georgia.
My youngst daughter is getting married in the Garden of the God’s Labor Day weekend. I am hoping it doesn’t snow kind of. Being from GA snow could make the wedding an interesting event. Memorable, yes that is what we will call it!
Happy Birthday!

Multi focal contacts are life changing. I wore them for several years and then had cataract surgery and no longer need them.
I wore contacts for years with no irritation like you described.
I see a trip back to the doc for you.
Good luck!

I had my surgery May of 2020. I opted for distance implants and paid extra to get the lenses that were dialed in for correction (insurance only covered the basic).
They did my left eye (dominant) first and my right 2 weeks later. I had to stop wearing my contacts a month before the first procedure. I only had 1 bottle of drops for each eye that I started two weeks before first procedure and continued for two weeks after second eye was done. I had a shield taped over my eye that I had to keep in place until my follow up the next day after each procedure and then at night for two weeks.
I am now almost two years post surgery and have had no issues. I only need reading glasses. No extra drops for dry eye. I do wear sunglasses when out and about when needed, but did before too.
Overall, it was life changing for me. It was a pretty easy process and my recommendation is not to wait if you need the procedure.

I have several and have worn them all summer as skirts and beach covers. They are so comfortable in this GA heat. The closure is only at the waist, but there is enough material that that is all you need. I love these skirts.

Just got back last Thursday. Make sure you get the right test from Walgreens. They offer 3 different ones and only one, the Rapid Response ID Now comes back in time. The 3 of us tested at Walgreens with no issues. Not all Walgreens offer the test you need.
Rental cars are scarce in HI right now and very expensive if you can get one. We used points to get ours, but we talked to a lot of people who just couldn’t afford it or couldn’t find one. It seems during their COVID shutdown, the rental companies had way too many cars. They used the stadium to park the overflow, but sold off or sent a bunch stateside. Now that they are reopening they don’t have enough to go around. We were hearing that some companies were charging as much as $800 a day for their cars. It was crazy.
There is a car share company called Hui, that a few people at our resort had success with. It is through an app and you booked day by day. The only problem was some of the cars were far away and you are responsible for getting to the car.
Most restaurants we went to required a reservation or a call ahead. Masks are required everywhere indoors and out, except the beach. No one cared on the beach.

Which is good thing. GE just builds them, they don't own them. They are no longer offering them as an option anywhere. There are a handful of other companies that build them too. Most first world countries had already stopped building them. Now any country won't have the option of building them, if they want GE to build it.
GE also has a wind and solar division and are regularly building these facilities too.

GE is a Global company, they stopped building new coal plants in the US a while a go. In the US they build gas and steam turbines. The gas turbines run off liquid fuel and the steam turbines run off the exhaust of the gas turbines. The Mister's job is to build these facilities here in the states.
They still maintain existing coal plants, but are replacing them with the clean energy plants as they reach their life expectancy.

I go to college full time and when they closed the colleges we all went to on line. I had 3 teachers who didn't change much at all. 1 was a hybrid class that was half online anyway, the other was college algebra. My aldgebra teacher just moved his lecture to a video conference call and we carried on smartly.
My other 2 classes were a nightmare. I dropped the Anthopology class when he told is if we needed to contact him to call his son's phone and leave a message. The world lit teacher changed from us writing 4 papers for the semester to a paper a week. It was like she thought we had nothing better to do than write for her class. Oh and she never graded anything. When I uploaded my final on Monday I had know idea where I stood in her class.
All this to say, some teachers don't realize how much work they are giving. He is probably overwelmed, I know I was reading his daily list

People are assholes. My dd works for Target in Atlanta. She told me today, if she had a dollar for every person who has cussed her out since this all started she wouldn't need to work. These people are just mean too. Her store is doing their best, but for some it's not good enough.

My Mister retired from the Military and took a travel job. I can and do travel with him some of the time. Anyway, when he is home or one of the kids are home, I sometimes feel invaded. I love my husband, he is my best friend and we get a long great. But, we became empty nesters at the same time he retired and took this job. I live a lone 90% of the time. When everybody comes home, I feel crowded. DH and I get on just fine, he does his thing and I do mine. However, I have things and do things the way I like, because I live here. He comes home and changes things. I usually suck it up, because our time is limited and I don't want to waste it by being petty.

Currently I am a member and board officer for our local Faternal Order of Eagles Auxiliary. Their motto is "People Helping People". We raise money for a number of National as well as local charities.
In the past I volunteered in the kids schools, things like the classroom and later on the marching band.
Also, I volunteered and was on the board of the Family Readiness Group for my hisbands last boat before he retired. I spent several years volunteering as a mentor for the Navy's COMPASS Program too.

Monk, we have family in Palestine, Gaza specifically. They will tell you that you are MUCH safer in Morocco than Palestine. I honestly am scratching my head at WHY so many of you seem to think Morocco is the land of the boogie man. I don't think you are really hearing our replies. No one has said it's the land of the boogie man. I said I would love to visit there one day, and I'd be totally comfortable taking my dd. And if she went there with a tour group and I was assured she'd be with the group and not venturing out alone then I'd be fine with that also. It's the unsupervised nature of a young American unseasoned traveler wandering around markets and traveling outside the university area that bothers many of us. I'd feel the same way about many other countries also, I'm not just targeting Morocco. I think you just have to accept that a resident of any particular country has advantages over travelers, and especially over travelers who are not experienced in international travel. I'm quite sure that the aggressive merchants in Jerusalem's Old City were eying me and dd in a totally different way that they were eying the woman in the hijab behind us. They weren't coming out of their shop trying to lure her inside. When I lived in Burkina Faso it was quite obvious that I was a foreigner by the color of my skin. However, by wearing clothes made from the local cloth or carrying a bag made from local leather I, and other foreign residents, would get a much different reaction from the aggressive men in the markets... they would try their sales attack, I would answer in Mooré (the local language), they would laugh and reply back, and I'd move on. A totally different reaction than a European-looking tourist would get as they would swarm around them. So no, no boogie men, just an awareness that some people in some cultures react differently to tourists than others. I've walked through many types of flea markets or other outdoor market/festivals in European countries and the swarm thing does not happen. That's just the way it is. When dd was there she had a few try to take advantage like you describe, because she looked very much American, not just European. She would speak to them in Arabic and let them know she was aware of what they were up to, her host family was helpful with this also. I guess I am more free range. I was nervous about her going, but excited at the same time. My dd was with a group from her university and everything was prearranged. After my son joined the Navy and travelled all over at a young age by himself with no "adult" supervision persky, her trip seemed tame. I have embraced releasing my kids to the wild. I know I raised them to be smart and independant. They haven't let me down yet.

Why in particular does your daughter want to study here? Perhaps I can give some info about that.
Alinea, for my daughter it was a chance to not only further her learning Arabic, but to be immersed in the language to be able to speak it more fluently. She is a linguist, so fluency is important. She also suffers from wanderlust. Since the trip to Morocco she has gone to Mexico to teach English and was just accepted for a trip to Argintina. She wants to see the world and learn all the languages!

My dd spent the summer between her junior and senior year 9f undergrad studying Arabic at the Language institute in Fez, Morocco. This was her 1st trip abroad. It was through her university. She had a homestay family who took exceptional care of her. Her financial aid covered it all, she was awarded a Study Abroad scholarship also.
She had a fantastic time and really polished her Arabic. Morocco is a UN controlled country, they also have a king. DD had no scary issues during her time there. She was harassed a good bit by picture takers. She is blond and blue eyed and looks very American, people were fascinated by her I guess.
Her father and I were worried too, but it all worked out. I worry more when she tells me she wants to go to Syria. She is a linguist a d wants to travel the world.
Edited to add: She went just 21/2 years ago. She and her friends always travelled in groups of 2 or more. She did have a few people try to take advantage of her until she spoke up to them in Arabic. They had assumed she was just a dumb tourist.
I will also add, that because of this trip I totally had my mind opened to who the terrorist really are. The majority of middle eastern people are wonderful friendly people. Her homestay mom was so grateful to have the chance to host her. HS Mom treated her better than her own children. DD is still in touch with her homestay family today. She and I learned more than Arabic from her experience.
