I had to get this kit. I picked up a couple of her traveler's notebooks too.

I was shocked to see this today. I haven't followed papertrey as closely as I used too. And I agree, something has felt "off" when I did visit her site. She is such an inspiration.
I watched the team farewell video. I guess Nichole lives in Maine. I thought she lived in TN.
She will be missed in the industry.

Any KP subbers get their kit? I did not get the corrected "Together" card; did anyone else? I did not receive the corrected together card either.

I reorganize about once a year. I have a craft room. I've been reorganizing the past couple of days. I started with my desk area. Then moved on to my Expedit. I still have a closet and several drawers to go through. I am out of room in my area so it's purge time! I filled a box and gave it to the local elementary art teacher. (I substitute teach there a lot) I need to start another one.
I'm considering reorganizing my embellishments by color.

I'm super excited to get it. I added a few extra goodies. I wasn't quick enough and missed out on the Month to Month stamp set. Hoping to get it next month.
To those that have purchased kits in the past, do you use them mostly for project life? Or layouts, too?

I love the idea of OLW. And have taken the course a few times. I just never complete it. I think I'm going to choose a word put it somewhere in my craft room so I can see it and go through a few prompts from previous OLW classes.

I received an email about a year long class from Erin. Has anyone taken a class from her before? I would love to read a review.

This may be obvious, but have you tried: -Do you have the latest software update? -Shutting everything down? Unplug the Cameo from your computer and the wall. Shut down the Silhouette software, then shut down your computer. Give it a good 15 minutes, then boot everything back up. -When you insert a blade, have the notch on the blade facing out towards you. Hold down the blade and turn the butterfly screw to secure it. So many people forget to fix the blade in place with the butterfly screw! -Do you have it on the right setting for mat vs no mat, load media vs load mat, etc. -Look at the blade. It cuts with only the very tip of the blade. Sometimes if the blade cuts too deep, the tip can snap off. A new blade will fix that. -Look at the blade again. There is a white collar/cap that sits over the very end of the blade housing. Sometimes that comes unscrewed a bit and adds enough depth to the housing so that the blade doesn't come out of the housing fully. (This is also the collar/cap that you can remove to pull out any bits of paper or material caught up in the blade.) -If I use an older version of the software, I usually have to set my blade to 1-2 clicks deeper. I've since figured out that I had 2 versions of the software and have deleted the older one. -Try cutting with a mat. Try cutting without a mat (vinyl or heat transfer material). Does either solve the problem? -Do you have the lever on the far right positioned upright to hold the mat in place? Again, this is a common error, but usually results in the mat moving all over the place rather than not cutting. -Call Silhouette and hopefully you will get a different person who can offer some suggestions. -Hopefully one of these solves the problem! WOW! Great suggestions. Thank you. You should work for Silhouette. I've tried most of these but will give them a shot!

I'm not sure I totally understand what you mean, but can you try replacing the blade? I know the one that came with my machine was kinda crappy...as soon as I got a new one it worked way better. I also know sometimes when I go to adjust the blade, I have to be sure I push it all the way down in the holding, sometimes it sort of gets caught. Is it the blade itself or the blade housing that is the problem? Its the blade housing. The website said to try WD40 to try to get it to slide up and down smoother. It's like the blade housing drops a little but not low enough to touch the paper and cut it. I actually pushed down the blade housing and it gets stuck there and then pops up after about 15 seconds. Not sure what happened to it. My scrap room is in a bedroom of the main floor of my house. A/C is on (we never open windows due to son's allergies) so it's not like I've let the Silhouette get hot and humid. I went to the hardware store today and bought some Graphite Lubricant - going to load it up with lubricant - what do I have to lose?!

Hmmm... still undecided. At the moment you can only pre-order it so I HAVE to pay shipping. UGH!

Does anyone have this? I've been looking at it for a long time but hate the price tag. Plus shipping of $8, the total cost is $38! Is it worth it?

My Cameo's blade is not lowering so it's not cutting anything. I did everything the website said including the WD40. I sent customer service a video of what is happening. I purchased the Cameo 2 in April 2015 so it is out of warranty. The only thing customer service suggested was to send it in (can't imagine the shipping cost to do that) then they will repair which could cost anywhere up to $100. So I could potentially be out $125-140 (depending on shipping). I can buy a new Cameo 2 for $219 on Amazon.
I'm extra sad because this is my second Cameo. I had the original Cameo (bought in 2012), it worked like a champ. Until we had a lighting storm and it got zapped last year.
Bummed and not sure what to do.
Anyone else have this happen to their Cameo?!

I may have to. My Cameo 2 quit cutting. The blade just won't drop down. I've done everything the website says and have contacted customer service. They need a video showing what is happening. I just uploaded it to them. I REALLY hope this can be fixed. I hate not being able to use it.

I picked up a few bits and pieces of Crate's Cool kid? (boy one) and Paige Evans new line. I also picked up some of Jen Hadfield's line. I did all my shopping at PaperIssues. I didn't realize they are based out of KC. So glad to support a local company.

My 6 months is up, thankfully. Canceling oct 1! I love the look of GB. Also considering Scrapbook and cards today quarterly Kit. I think quarterly might be better for me and it comes with a magazine. I miss printed mags. AND they have FREE cut files, what a great idea! I'm tired of paying for all the digital extras at SC. I'm cranky about SC after this months main kit or lack thereof.

Great tips. I love my mini score board from Martha Stewart, use it every time I make a card. Find a cardstock you like. I love Papertrey inks cardstock. Stay away from cheap acrylic sets, they are horrible, I learned the hard way and trashed a few sets. Pigment ink takes longer to dry but gives a great image when using photopolymer stamps. Be sure to check out these ladies' blogs... Nicole Heady, Betsy Veldman and Nichol Magourik. Oh! I love lime doodle blog too!

Another good one for this is Tombo multi. It's a liquid gluid in a white bottle with green end-caps (both ends) and is available almost everywhere. I just watched a mercytiara video and she uses Tombo multi for the very reason you mentioned. Maybe it was her video you watched!
