My kids are in school full time, in person, but they are not allowed to hand out Valentines.

These albums are dreamy. Has CT ever said anything about making them in other sizes? I love the look of these, but I take too many pictures to use this small of a format.

So, is Crate Paper done now? Does anyone have any inside info? They always had my favorite collections. Pink Paisley has had some really good ones over the years too. This is kind of sad...

One person I wouldn't mind seeing physical products from is Inkie Quill. For all her quirks, I think she has a natural talent for design.
This 1000%! I love Adele’s style. She has just the right personality and a ton of subscribers on YT. Patreon, too. I have often wondered why AC sticks with DL, MH and AT when they are really amazing personalities/artists out there like Inkie Quill, Missy Whidden (mixed media), Suse Fish to name a few. I bought only a few pieces from ALL of the new AC collections on ACOT. Everything was very “samey”. I currently buy entire collections of Pink Fresh or used to with Pink Paislee. Time for fresh designers! Keep Paige and Vicki but bring on new styles. I am sure that would boost sales. I agree! I wish they would get some new designers. Especially since I don't think MH and DL even scrap anymore. Nothing against them, but I'd rather see people have lines who are still involved in the scrapbooking community. Also, AC showed the new collections yesterday, and I don't even see a thread on here discussing whether people like them or not. Seems like a low level of excitement over the new lines...not a very good sign.

Has she said when she is going to start showing sneak peeks for next month's release?

I'm not sure what the cost of living in Utah is, and without knowing their entire financial picture, it's hard to say, but with 4 kids, funeral costs, presumably some medical bills, 200k isn't a financial get out of jail free card. On dollar value alone, it likely buys her a year or so of time to grieve and adjust and make a plan going forward. Hopefully she is able to get some good solid financial advice.
Very sad.

Has anyone had this happen to one of Ali's inks? I last used it a couple of weeks ago and it was fine and I haven't stored it any differently than I always have. I didn't even look at the ink pad before I took the lid off and inked my stamp and realized there was stuff all over the block. I turned the ink pad over and saw all of this. I’ve seen similar result posted either here or Facebook I think, but never noticed it with my inks. I just checked all my Ali inks, and my Black Butte full-size pad looks very much like yours - like a chemical reaction has melted the pad or something. All my other colors are fine, and my Black Butte mini cube is fine too. Sad, because I really like the coverage of her inks! And, I’ve used this pad a lot. Yes! Had this problem with my black butte ink pad as well.

Why does it take Ali/Studio Calico SO LONG to ship a freaking order?!?!!? I ordered 7 days ago and still NO SHIPPING NOTICE! Ugh. Serves me right. I ordered about a week ago too, never got a shipping notice, and surprisingly it showed up at my door today. I had just checked the order status yesterday too, and it didn't show it as being shipped. Hopefully yours is on its way too!

A Cherry on Top has the whole collection available for preorder.
I like it, but I do wish it was a bit more Christmas-y for DD.

I agree. I had to stop watching this morning because I was about to leave the house, and I didn't think my daughter would appreciate me dropping her off at school being a big teary-eyed mess. 😭
For real though, it takes such courage to share like that. It still seems so raw. My heart goes out to all of them. 💕

I thought when she originally teamed up with AC, there would end up being mini-kits made with every line they came out with. This would have kept the product lines fresh, and I think would have sold well. Her physical products stopped selling well because nothing new was coming out!

I wonder if they will still be able to book bigger-name guests. It might not be worth it for people like Ali to come on anymore now that it's only being broadcast to a much smaller audience.

Sorry, kids come first. If she's upset, I'd tell her that she'll understand some day when her child is old enough.

It probably wasn't selling well because there is never anything new to buy! Those of us who do Project Life have probably already purchased the kits that we want. It seems like at this point it's only catering to "new" people and not the core scrapbookers who regularly spend on product.

Some of those Alice papers are really cute. We were just at Disney, but unfortunately we didn't meet Alice. Now i'm wishing we would have! I do have a couple pics from the teacup ride at least.

ETA: does anyone else think of George Costanza's poor (awful) fiancee when they go to lick an envelope? That was such a funny way to write a character no one liked out of a show. Haha! Yes! I had that exact thought last night when I was doing my envelopes.

I just signed up! I'm a little nervous about how many there are to send out, but I guess what I don't have time to make, I can buy from the store. They make such cute ones these days anyways!

I'm curious how the class is going. I didn't sign up, but am still thinking about it a bit. It is mostly a "follow along as I put together this album, with thoughts and ideas"? Is there any particular new trends or techniques? Mostly (so far) it has been process videos with her addressing related issues along the way. There was one day that the video was all about how about she handles having large amounts of photos from one trip. I'm enjoying it and plan on printing out all of the accompanying sketches so that after my trip next month, I can work off of those and hopefully I can get a bunch of my trip scrapped while the trip is still fresh in my mind.

Sounds fun, but I don't know if I could make 120 cards! Maybe my kiddo would have fun helping. What kinds of things do you write on the insides of the cards?

I signed up! We are actually going to Disney in September, so I figured it would be fun to play along when I get back. I'm hoping it motivates me to get a lot of pages done right away, so they don't sit around undone forever (like my wedding album )

I love her classes! I'm not usually that artsy of a scrapper, but I always end up loving the pages I make from her classes. I find her really inspiring!

LOVE the Falala collection! I pretty much bought all of Snow & Cocoa last year too. Can't wait to see what they have coming for their Fall/Halloween collection.

I think they usually come out with new lines around CHA times--January for their Summer lines and July (maybe?) for their Fall and Winter lines. Although, there might only be one CHA a year now, I can't remember. I would imagine their Fall and Winter lines will come out during late Summer though.

Also, Amy Tangerine and Shimelle have a nearly identical sheet of paper in their new collections. I'd link except I don't know how, but they both have a sheet with a light blue background and raindrops. The raindrops are slightly different colors, and Shimelle's has more raindrops, but seriously--they are super similar. I think it just happens sometimes. If they hadn't come out at the same time, you would think one was a copy of the other.

It's funny, when I read the title to this thread I immediately thought of this same DL collection and how she used hot air balloons as a motif. Remember when hot air balloons used to be everywhere in scrapbook lines? I was never a fan of them because I always had a hard time using them on my pages.
I believe Doodlebug also has papers that show a house/neighborhood scene. I'm pretty sure I have a Halloween one in my stash somewhere!
That being said, the similarities don't really bother me. The turnover time for each collection is so fast and there are really only so many things you can do...there are bound to be repeat ideas.

I'm still working on my honeymoon album, which was in Hawaii, so I definitely see a few things that would work really well for that.
