I have at least 4 sorts for embellishment storage: First, if the embellishments go with a collection, they usually get stored with the collection (the papers) until it's down to scraps. Second, if the embellishments are themed, they get stored in a case (Iris or Sterlite) with other embellishments with that theme. Third, if the embellishments are all one type (ex. Brads, diecuts) but mixed colors in original packaging, they get stored by type. So all enamel dots go in a bin, all packaged flowers go in another bin, all alphabet sheets in a bin but sorted by color, all buttons on cards in a bin, etc. Last, loose embellishments (no packaging), they get sorted by color. I have jars for buttons and ribbon and trays for everything else. Trays may hold two similar colors, like pink + red, and orange + yellow. I can't tell you if this works or not, it's just how I store my embellishments. This is how my brain works too. I do need to consolidate some of my items though, like getting all my enamel dots together instead of some here and some there. But otherwise this system works for me so far.

Cute stuff. I thought you could qualify with free shipping and the preorder discount at ACOT It isn't working for me. After their less then stellar response to my issue with a product in ordered from them I think I will wait and see if someone that offers a discount and free shipping pops up. I don't need everything, but I was going to place a huge order for myself and a friend so if I don't get everything on my list it won't kill me. I think I have points at SG Generation I can use. Or I could just ask my LSS if they are going to get it. At ACOT you can only use one code - I usually use the preorder for 20% off since it’s usually more than the shipping. If you have enough points at SG for a 20% code, I’d preorder there and use Bank-it until you reach the threshold for free shipping.

And I thought this thread was going to be about the 5 daily emails they send. It’s ridiculous. They go straight to the trash.

Alice reached out and is working on adding the classes. I've asked if I should change my email address for her website. I don't know if that will help or not. I do email after each purchase with a copy of the receipt but the last couple of times I've received no response. We'll see what they say. I’m not sure that will help. I changed my email address on the class site, but t all my class emails still go to my old address. I’ve emailed her a few times to try to get this corrected with no luck.

I think you can ask them to print with no bleed. This happens even without the borders - I will crop a photo exactly how I want it, then the printer expands it for bleed, and things get cut off. So frustrating. That’s one reason I mainly print at home.

^^^This! Or, maybe put a pause on recording the free Live content on Youtube every week and use that time to put out content for the PAYING customers. Use Your Punches AND This Year’s Story. I’m used to her being late and over promising but under-delivering, but a year waiting is ridiculous. Especially when she continues to put out free content. 🙄🙄 In all fairness, the most recent video for This Year's Story was from just before the long weekend. I haven't watched any of the videos from the most recent month of class videos so I'm not sure if she promised more that hasn't been delivered yet. That said, I agree she would benefit from dropping one of the weekly free live videos until she can get caught up on outstanding classes/other issues paying customers have. Yes, she is working on getting out content for This Year’s Story *now*, but that class was supposed to happen in 2023. It started in January 2023 with registration for the entire year of 2023 and was supposed to continue for that year, which is why I say it’s a year late now. I’m glad she’s working on it now and not just dropping it completely. I do hope she continues with it and doesn’t fall off again through the year. I expected it to get behind when I signed up, but I still like her content when she finally gets it done, so I signed up warily. It’s still frustrating though, especially when she continues with free content.

I'm still waiting for Shimelle to grant me access to some of the classes that I've purchased. I don't know that I will ever know if I have access to all of the classes I've paid for. Hopefully she responds soon. I won't be purchasing any more until she has a reasonable response as to what I can do to prevent me from not having access to purchases for months after said purchase. I think some people have had luck contacting her through IG? I'm starting to get a little pissy about it being nine months or so since I've paid for a class that she hasn't posted any content for yet. I think it was last summer that I paid for the Use Your Punches class. I'm thisclose to asking her publically if she could take a time out from the photo sessions to work on class content that was paid for months ago or at least start offering refunds. It's been so long now that I can't even dispute the charge on my account. ^^^This! Or, maybe put a pause on recording the free Live content on Youtube every week and use that time to put out content for the PAYING customers. Use Your Punches AND This Year’s Story. They have cherries throughout their site usually worth 1, 2, or 3 points. Click on them to collect the points and for every 1,000 cherry points you get $5 off. You have to open the item page all of the way to find them, though. Quick view doesn't work. You also get cherries for items you buy, so basically a small percent of your purchase can go towards your next purchase. I buy so much from that site that I always have $5-10 dollars off my next purchase. I always click through the new products, too, so I find quite a lot of cherries. It is one of the reasons I buy so much from ACOT- their sales are so much better than Scrapbook.com and when I add in the cherry points I save a bit of money. And you have to be logged into the site for the cherries to show. They are random as to which products have some on their page, and can be in about 3 different locations on the page ad you scroll down.

There is a nice scrapbook store in Branson too. We go the day before and visit the Branson store, then drive back to Springfield and visit the SG store. Oh, that could be fun!! What's the name of the Branson store? Scrapbooks Forever in Branson. It’s on the strip, so lots of other things to do if you are so inclined (like the Titanic Museum and lots of restaurants).

I once added up how much it would cost me to go for a fun crafting trip. It was way too much for crafting, as I would haver to fly there (from across the country, LOL) . Do you live near by or drive there or fly? We'll drive - it will take 12 hours to drive according to Google maps. I figure we'll drive over on Wednesday, recover on Thursday/explore the area, crop the weekend, and then drive back on Monday. There is a nice scrapbook store in Branson too. We go the day before and visit the Branson store, then drive back to Springfield and visit the SG store.

I always print a white border except for photos larger than 4x6. I see YouTubers print their photo, then mat with white cardstock, and wonder why they didn’t just print with a border? Saves time and cardstock.

I finished off 3 packs of enamel dots while finishing my 2023 DD/JYC. Plus, I used all the stars on a sheet of stars and hearts stickers. That was satisfying.

One thing I liked having at a weekend crop is a folding kitchen shelf to pop some things up off the work surface. It didn't take up too much room in my bag. Now I use it in my pantry! LOL I use these as well. Another nice thing about them is that they delineate your space from encroachers.

I find that saving to a wishlist can also trick your brain into thinking you have actually ordered because it feels so much like online shopping - click click done - but that getting the thing isn't all that important. You apparently get the rush of brain-happy-juice in the moment *just before* you actually buy. Once you hand over the money (ugh) you actually own the thing and have to store or find time to use it (ugh) and your happiness often goes back down. Sometimes your brain just wants to joy of finding the pretty thing and claiming it! Months later you've proved you can live without it and also found a dozen new things that might be better anyway... So yeah, wishlists for the win!! Exactly this!

same 🙁 some but not all getting weird on the bottoms mostly. is there even a manufacturer offering leather or other sturdy (non-vinyl) 12x12 option? I would consider moving over though I would miss having the bright colours. any suggestions welcome. I wonder if citrus twist would ever try 12x12. I'm very happy with their 6x8 life crafted albums that have a kind of fabric cover. That would be amazing if CT made 12x12! Their colors are so yummy!

This is an interesting question since my answer would be different if you asked who do you enjoy watching the most vs who most aligns with your style.
My answer is Allison Davis 4 SG. She has creative but not overly complicated designs, and since she mainly scrapbooks her boys, the colors and patterns she uses are the ones I gravitate towards (i.e., not punk and flowers). She does both 1- and 2-page layouts, and uses manufacturers I like (like Echo Park and Cocoa Vanilla). She uses different techniques and textures too.

This might be a bit ambitious and I might have to move some to April but let's see • Scrap March 2022 photos • print March 2023 photos • scrap March 2023 • scrap March 2023 -Williamsburg • scrap March 2012 • scrap March 2022 -Williamsburg • March 2012 San Agustin - were these printed? If not, print them • Easter cards • scrap January 2024 I like how you are focusing on March from various years - good approach!
