Good luck and have fun everyone! I'm planning to do a week in May but haven't decided which one yet...

I ordered the spine labels. I wanted the date set but not at an additional $30. I like the idea of the quote set but it's the type of set I like but never think to use or it doesn't work for how I want to use it.
I debated on the WITL set but ended up getting it for the versatility of it. I do think it solidified my choice to wait to do WITL until mid-May since the stamp isn't expected to ship until then (otherwise what's the point of getting it only to not have it while working on my album?)

90% of what I scrap is my boys...and 80% of that is sports or music...so no, I have never embraced the floral trend.
I am always excited when I have a reason to use florals (because I have so much from various kits) but then I have a hard time actually using them.

I could have taken it as a class in high school in the early 90s, but I found out I wouldn't have had it until the quarter after I turned 16. I didn't want to wait to get my license so I took it during the summer (I assume it was still through the district because the class was at one of the high schools in the district--one that had a driving course painted in the parking lot!)
We chose a private company for our boys' drivers ed. There's a company that does drivers ed that is associated with almost every school in the metro area, but friends told us about a different company that is run by current & former cops. This company also has a driving simulator that none of the other companies in town has. It's pricy and we had to sign DS16 up 6 months in advance of his session because classes sell out fast, but both DS18 had a good experience (even though it was interrupted by Covid) and DS16 learns better from other people. This company has classes in person whereas the school-associated one only does online classes.

Ali sneaked some new stamps being released next week. I love the one designed for album spines. A very useful stamp! When I saw it just as a sheet of years/dates/projects I thought "hmmm, some people are going to really like having all of those years..." then I saw that they are for spines and thought "hmmm...now I really want it!" I don't mind my handwriting when I'm journalling on a page, but I hate it when trying to do the spine label.

Got my WITL box today and I like most of it. The colors work for me individually and when grouped all together like on the days of the week large plastic pieces. The only place I don't like the colors is on the 3x4 cards with "Mon", "Tue", etc because for me, some of the colors do not work together in groups of 2 or 3 (pink and dark green...yuck). I will probably separate everything by days before I document my week. I did not realize that when we buy the main kit we also get the digital files for the main kit (not the mini though), it's already in my account.
I still can't decide if I want to do the official AE week in April or if I should wait until mid-May when DS is home for summer break (especially since I got the You & Me mini kit.
Speaking of...LOVE the notebook! Totally worth the extra $5 to get it with the mini kit. The quality is amazing, but I'm also comparing it to printing a digital version of a different DD notebook from a couple of years ago. I might have to use it to document a 2nd week either during the summer or fall.
The packaging is weird--the envelopes for the main kit and mini kit were sealed stronger than some of the envelopes that were used to ship Story & Stamp kits a few years ago...like the one that wasn't taped so it opened up and lost all of the contents somewhere between KY and my house. The adhesive ruins part of one side because it will not come up without tearing.

When would you be going? Is DS going to be with you or is this part of the drive, if so how old? My son is finishing his first year at school in Rapid City so we've done some touristy things on our last two visits and am working on our next two visits...

I use it on almost every LO either as the background or to mat photos.

Only certain AE products, mostly the albums & some of the embellishments for DD & WITL. I'm ok if I don't get some of the embellishments I want but the albums would be the hardest things to miss out on because of the ring sizes being so much bigger than other brands.

I only ever went to one convention in my city--if it was here other years I must not have been able to go. It was ok. I enjoyed thumbing through boxes of pattern paper single sheets. I found things I hadn't seen at my LSS or Archivers. I met a few scrappy friends at the evening crop and had fun with them, but it was a PITA figuring out what I could fit in one rolling case and one bag I could carry, and then walking from a parking garage into the convention area. I'm glad I never paid to travel and stay at a hotel to go to one in another city (especially a very busy one). But I was also lucky because around that time there were 2-3 LSS and an Archivers in the metro area (plus Michaels and Joanns) so I always had lots of shopping options.
Now I did go to Archivers' Scrapfest at the Mall of America in MN several times. That was fun because I could do the classes and make'n takes during the day while DH took the boys to the amusement park, aquarium, or back to the hotel to relax/nap.

I know that WITL tends to not sell out right away...yet every year I feel I have to be ready right at release time.
I ended up with the 6x8 album, main kit, mini kit with journal (because why not for $5), the small banners and the vellum pages. I know it's more than I need but I liked parts of each kit enough to just get both.
I wish I could swap the pleather circles for the multi-colored days in the main kit. I almost wish I liked/wanted/needed the stamps because then I would have gone with the buy all option and saved the 10x8 for DD.

I have enough scrapbooking supplies, books and DVDs that I think I could do it. I would miss mindless scrolling through social media and other online platforms though. The hardest part would be most of my recipes are on Pinterest!!! I'd run out of ideas of things I can make without finding the recipe online...although I do have a bunch of old recipe books...but those don't come with reviews!

I missed most of the non-kit parts so I can't comment on that, but I think I like this year's stuff. I am excited to see the blog preview on Monday.
I'm thankful I do 6x8 because I like that album better. I really appreciate the effort made to keep things the same color for each day. I do like the colors (based on the poor quality IG video) but not necessarily when they are all together.
I'll have to think about what week to do. The official Ali week would be fine, but DS18 will still be out of state at college. I might wait until the week before Mother's Day...but that would include DS18's birthday...again...

I order most of my everyday prints thru Snapfish. Before i order i go though and turn some into 2-3x4s on a 4x6 (in photoshop elements). If I decide I need something in a different size or realize I didn't order something I will print the photo at home.
For projects like December Daily or Week in the Life i print at home because I use a mix of photo sizes and don't want to wait to get them.

The last remaining store in my area is around 25 minutes away (15 miles or so) from my house, but less than one mile away from where I work.

I always watch because I like football. Some years I start the game not caring who wins, but usually end up cheering for one team over the other (usually if the underdog has a chance). I don't have a team I cheer for, but the Chiefs are always on so I've been watching them the last few years. I love any excuse to eat food we normally don't eat for dinner--this year it's Mexican layer dip and chicken wings.

I keep a thin robe in the bathroom to wear when I don't feel like getting dressed right after showering. It took me forever to find the right kind--thin comfortable fabric and not too short. I have a couple of long thick robes that I never wear because I get too hot in them. I've never had a housecoat or dressing gown.

It wasn't a spelling error, but an alphabet stamp I bought from Kelly Purkey a couple of years ago did not have "o", "w" or "5". I did get a refund but it pissed me off that they were not proactive about it or that they even offered it in the first place because I found a design team member's project that had to use zero for the "o"--the stamp set was in the project photo so someone knew about it at some point early on.
Studio Calico had a patterned paper with the alphabet on it and it started out with A B D C...it worked great for a page about a spelling bee!

No because if it's something with different colors, I would never want all of the colors because I rarely use pinks & purples. If it's something with just a lot of extra stuff I don't get everything because there's usually some redundancy or there are just certain embellishments that I don't like to use (or if a collection offers a stamp set, I rarely buy the stamp set because I don't see the need a lot of times).

After a very warm and mostly dry December, we are making up for it this week. Monday night through Tuesday afternoon we got over 11" of heavy wet snow. It's snowing right now but should only be less than an inch. Thursday night it's supposed to start snowing and we could get at least another 7" of snow. Then the real fun of single digit and below zero highs (Fahrenheit) hits over the weekend a through Monday. The side streets are already a mess because plows couldn't get to them before at least 6-8" had fallen--now they are a thick frozen mess and won't get any better with the incoming snow and cold...so thankful we live on a street that's a snow route!
I'm also thankful that ODS had to go back to college on Sunday because he missed having to drive through or right after all of this snowy mess. He'll get the cold weather but is not getting hit with the same snow systems.

I think I only have the day we opened presents at home left to do. I've done a little insert for Santa gifts and used the ornament paper for stockings (still have to do the journaling though). Realistically I just need to concentrate on going through my photos, deciding which ones I may want to use and go from there.

We could have had a white Christmas if we had gone to my Dad's as planned for Christmas Day. Instead, we had a rainy Christmas at home. We didn't want to risk getting snowed-in in Nebraska (or worse, sliding off the roads since it was rain, then snow, and strong winds) so we cut our trip short and came home on Christmas Eve.

I usually do this as part of my getting ready for and coming home from my big multi-day crop in the spring. I didn't get a chance last year because when I got home, I had to immediately start working on graduation party plans and decorations. Hopefully this spring I'll do a better job, especially since I'm finally at the stage where I will simply throw something out instead of keeping with the intent to add it to a junk table...because most of the time it is outdated junk.
I will do a minor clean up when I'm done with my DD album, but I haven't made too big of a mess with that this year.

I'm done thru Day 16 and am only going to 25. I have not gone overboard with photos this year (except for opening presents at home) so it's been a little weirder than years past--it's almost both harder and easier. I am going to have so much leftover product...again...and I only got the main AE kit and a couple of add-ons.

The gifts for the boys were mostly hits. DS15's Santa gift was almost a miss because it took forever to ship (a robot coming from China), but I decided to print a picture of it and put it in a box with a 3lb bag of Lifesaver mints so he had something to open. DS18 was happy to get his own XBox to take back to college with him, and was happy to get a cooler and a fishing tackle bag.
The weather and my inlaws were big misses--we ended up having to come home early to avoid getting snowed-in in Nebraska and MIL kept asking when we were planning leave and did we want breakfast or lunch before leaving, when we hadn't even decided if we were leaving early...I started getting snippy with her.

I crossed-stitched stockings for DH & my two boys. They are all different, but all have Santa. Mine is a Boyds Bear stocking that DH bought for me. I recently thought about making myself a stocking just for something different. I love how theirs all turned out, despite the fact that they are really small because I picked a fabric I liked without considering the overall size.
My mom still has our stockings that she made for us as babies. All of the grandkids also have one. She made them all out of felt & sequins using kits.

I'm readyish. I'm ready for immediate family gifts & stockings. I'm not quite ready to leave town tomorrow morning for the usual family tour. I need to gather food, do laundry & pack, and make sure we're prepared to run into snow that's now popped into the forecast for Monday...

Unless you 100% know her personal style, do not buy her sweaters....signed, someone who never wore the sweater given to her by her future in-laws.
Check with your son about some of the suggested ideas--tools, kitchen items, mani/pedi/massage gift cards. Otherwise at 22 I would have loved to get gift cards for groceries, gas, etc.

I don't mind mine because it's just the 4 of us on staff and our spouses going out for dinner. I usually "like" DH's party because its during the day and I don't have to go! Every few years his department/area will have a party/dinner/outing that I dread going to because I don't know anyone and am not an outgoing conversationalist with strangers...so not looking forward to the one in two weeks...

I still have a couple of blades for the old Stampin' Up trimmer (that I really really like) but have been keeping an eye out for a different trimmer when I run out of blades. This has been the one that excites me the most. I hear good things about the Creative Memories one, but don't want to be tied to a CM/SU type company for blades. A gal at my LSS that I trust for her opinions likes this Tim Holtz trimmer and let me see hers in the store, out of the packaging.
