Wow, that's beautiful.
I shared my 2020 plans last month but I've added a couple more things My local yarn/craft store were having a clearance sale and I picked up some sock yarn to hopefully make Rose City Rollers shorty socks
I also want to make another Nurmilintu I know I botched the lace sections last time and want to try again.
I'm considering this as well Ist Anniversary Shawl I've never knitted bobbles or textured stitches so it would keep me quiet for a while. You know I am a fan so I can’t wait to see your new creations!

Well I'm on round #4 of the Nature's Walk border and I ordered more yarn. I have three skeins left and I knew that wasn't going to be enough so I ordered 4 more just to be safe.

I finished this scrapghan last night. It's made from leftover SSDK that I bought to make various Attic 24 afghans. Since I'll be starting another one (the Dahlia) in January, thought I should use up some of the stash.

This time of year is so busy that it's all I can manage to do that stuff I need to do, let alone any extras. My heliotrope cardigan has stalled, because I made it the same size as an existing little top, but forgot to factor in that the old top is a thin, thin knit and mine is bulky/chunky yarn, so naturally (I know this NOW) it should have been larger. Huh. I'm trying to decide whether to unravel it and start again (I wrote the pattern down as I went, so it should grow quicker this time) or whether I can get away with crocheting vertical rows along the edges of each panel. Part of me thinks it will add interest, and another part thinks it will be obvious to every other crafter who sees it, exactly what has gone wrong. But I've woven ALL the ends in, and they're a devil to find again to unravel. Ugh.
I'm wondering about more socks, because I have yarn left to make another pair. Apparently my BFF lives in the pair I made for her. I don't know about my Mum's, and I don't want to ask her in case she requests more and I don't get time to get them done before Christmas.
I've joined the Facebook group of a crochet club in our town. They meet every second week for 2 hours at a local pub, but I haven't been yet. I'm not sure whether I want to be with people when I crochet. I need to concentrate when I'm working, and having to stop and listen to strangers chatting, and get to know them - all good for socialising but not for crocheting!
I have my candle sales over the next 2 Sundays at 2 churches. Anything left over will be gifts or we'll burn ourselves. I've got over 100 made and ready to go, and plans for more. I think I sold around 60 last year.
I still have 4 family Christmas cards to make, and maybe a handful of recycled ones, but not many.
I think that's it, my 3 Cs!

I'm working on red crochet infant hats for the local hospital. They want red hats for December babies. My niece is having a baby boy this month. I haven't even started the blanket. My granddaughter wants hats for her and a friend. So the remainder of my 2019 will be busy. Today I ordered these crochet ornament patterns. link They are so cute. I will work on that in 2020. Hopefully in 2020 I'll take a minute and learn to post pictures so I can share with you all.

Before I learned to crochet a few years ago, I saw this pattern and loved it. It took me a few years to be brave enough to try to make it, but I finally did. I’m pleased with how it turned out. I’ve got a sweater to finish and I would like to do the Attic 24 Dahlia cal that starts in January. I made the Sweet Pea cal last year.

angiet you MADE that?? It’s awesome! I’m in awe of all the yarn craftiness around here! This next year, I would love to make a cal king quilt for MY bed. Most likely it will be a simple 16 square block quilt with frames around each block. It’s a bit large. I have a year long scrapbook I have to make for DS year 1 preschool. It’s actually a school requirement! Still haven’t finished my maternity book and he’s 3.5. I have pictures, paper, everything to do it. Just need to get to it.

I finished dh's Christmas gift! He spends a lot of time on the ski hill and he pointed this fabric out to me when we were at a quilt shop a month or so ago but I was looking for something specific and sort of brushed him off. Two days later I was in a different shop on my own and saw the fabric again, only this time it was made into this quilt and I figured it was a sign - it was an easy pattern and I could get it finished in time for Christmas. I even did the long arm quilting for my very first time - I took a class and then rented the machine at a LQS. It's not fancy but I know dh is going to be very surprised and he will love it.

It only took you a few weeks to make AND you did a long arm class and utilised it in that time too? Wow!

But I have never attempted it. jeremysgirl It took me several tries to learn the technique. I watched Mikey from The Crochet Crowd’s video many times until I understood where to put my hook. I usually like written patterns but the Peppermint throws pattern was very difficult to follow. Once I got it, it was very easy to continue and was pretty quick to work up. Don’t be afraid! Give it a try!

Thanks, jeremysgirl and gillyp! It is mostly just strips so it really is a nice and quick quilt.
elaine, do it - the longarm is so cool! I put it off for a long time too but it really isn't as mysterious as I thought. The women at the LQS that I went to are awesome and really helpful and I assume that it would be the same anywhere - I have rarely met a crabby LQS owner, lol! I just did a pantograph this time and was able to get two large lap quilts finished in a day. I am going to try some free motion in the new year.

Trying to catch up on this thread before it gets too long! jeremysgirl Gianatta is on my very long list of potential future projects Sacred Space is fabulous, I'm not great with picking colours though so no advice lol. wellway Kaleidoscope is a wow, but does look ambitious. I really like all the official colourways. Julie W your wreath turned out beautifully, nice work! gillyp I didn't comment on your shawl on the previous thread, but it's lovely. Like others I love the yarn/colour you used. tracyarts wow you've busy! I'm super impressed by your productivity Your tunic looks so cosy snow4197 cute outfit! peano if you're the slowest knitter, I'm the slowest crocheter - can't remember the last time I actually posted a finished item in one of these threads lol lainey such pretty yarn Leone I really like your palm tree! shelledpea I always love the look of scrapghans and yours is no exception, but the thought of all those ends puts me right off! Do it! I joined a very similar group (meet at my local Hobbycraft rather than a pub) around Feb 2018 and it's been one of the best things I've done for myself lately. It means I have to leave work a bit early to get there on time - we have the flexibility to do that, but even so I can't always get away if I've got meetings or deadlines - but it's so worth it. It's a really fun and supportive group, and it's so nice to share my hobby with others who 'get' it. There is definitely an art to crocheting and chatting at the same time, and I've certainly had to correct mistakes from time to time. There are some projects I wouldn't even consider taking with me as they need too much concentration - I always have an 'easier' project on the go that I can work on there. Go along and see if you click with the group nysparkle those ornaments are adorable! angiet have another "wow" from me - fabulous work! roundtwo beautiful quilt, just the kind of colours I love, and it looks so neat too. Lucky DH! Phew, hope I didn't miss anyone

Wow, all you ladies have amazing skills. I totally want to cuddle up by a fire and a cup of hot something and just chill in any of the afghans, quilts or sweaters. Light an extra candle or two also. So I have been experimenting with my pour painting and made a few ornaments. Attachments:

I love that! Super adorable! Wool Warehouse are doing a 12 Day Advent calendar with gifts. Today's prize is worldwide so everyone has a chance. Go to www.woolwarehouse.co.uk/12-days-of-christmas and click box 1 to see the gift/prize for the first day. You have just an hour to enter now. Thanks for sharing Today's gift is a pattern for a super cute star pillow. I printed that off real quick. I will have to remember to check each day. I am still plodding along with the CAL. Think I have 2 sets of bonus squares left. Working on my last snowflake square now. Took pretty much all of last week off getting ready to host Thanksgiving, then the weekend to recoup lol We are leaving for Disney World next week, will be back the 20th. I am bringing one of the patterns with me and a skein of yarn. Not sure how much time I will have, but hopefully I will be able to get a bit done. Question! Does anyone know of any other patterns that use a chart instead of/along with written instructions? Or how to find them? Not really interested in making clothing items, yet, at least not sweaters and such. But using the patterns made this CAL so much easier than I thought it would be. I wouldn't be so hesitant to tackle a new project if I had a chart lol

Are you the crafter who uses up old candles to make new ones? I saw someone talking about it somewhere but can't remember where. I have a whole mess of old pillar candles from church, mostly cream-colored, and would love to pass some along to a crafter who would reuse them.
