fredfreddy44 I am sitting here laughing like a loon at your update. And I am happy to entertain, as so many others peas have for our benefit in the past! The tree and lights on it are up. (took 25 minutes maybe, he likes to add large colored lights to the small attached white lights) I'll happily hang stockings, put presents under the tree, and put out the ornament boxes tomorrow. Dh and I can decorate the tree tomorrow. Ds17 is excused as his math grade is hanging by a thread and he needs to study as much as possible before Friday's final. When ds20 comes home from college (probably Monday) there will be decor!

Christmas tree results. I put 10 ornaments aside for our ds20 to put on when he comes home from college.

We have nothing up. Our tree is in the basement in a "bag". I cannot get it upstairs on my own. No one has been home. Our decorations (many, many boxes of them) are up in the loft in the garage. I'd have to use a ladder to get into the loft, then try to carry them down on the ladder. That for me is an accident just waiting to happen.
Consequently nothing is up. I'm ok with it. I think dh is ok. Our daughter (22) is a little disappointed. However....NO ONE has offered to help me. So, I'll make my peanut brittle and fudge. Give my gifts to friends and life will go on.

I put the stockings on the fireplace and that was it. DH kept asking me if I wanted the tree brought in from the garage, nope, can't be bothered. However I was out on Saturday night and came home to find the tree up, put together, more lights strung on the tree and around the windows. A lovely surprise!!

My DH is retired and I work, so he usually puts up Christmas while I am out working, and it is so fun coming home to the "Magical Christmas Wonderland"!

If we had to go to that much effort just to get our stuff out, it would still be put away as well. Fortunately we have a walk in attic and everything is easy to get to. And hooray fudge.

I didn't want to put up temp hooks for 10 days. ETA: I am happy to say I have nothing to add to the holiday vent list that is now 3 pages long. Presents bought and wrapped, school and grades wrapped up for the semester, going to my Mom's for dinner, all family is sane, dh has a week off from work, dd has to work on Christmas but will see her the day after. Merry Christmas all and hope it is all low or no stress.
