I know people can live with cancer a long time but I try not to look too far ahead.

Well mine is the only vote in my category. And I pray I make it there as it’s 8 years away, so ever year added is a milestone on my way to 90. I may be the oldest Pea.

I turn 50 in July, and I don't feel like whatever I thought 50 would feel like. I get that it's a milestone but it really doesn't mean anything to me. KWIM?

I'll be 40 next year. I planned my 40th birthday party this year and realized 2 weeks put that I was wrong. Oops.

My next milestone birthday is 65, which means Medicare. I didn't even think about that, but 62 will be a milestone (before 70) because I can draw my SS! Me, too! I turn 62 in March. |

I'll be 60 in 4 short months at the end of April but I'm determined to celebrate it rather than be worried about being old because I'm not old! I'm middle aged. Old is being 99 or 100. I want to celebrate my years. I want to celebrate the fact that I've made it to 60 and all of the changes I've gone through. I'm at the point of my life where I love learning. Where I don't give a fig what anyone else thinks about what I wear, what I look like. I dress to please myself. That certainly wasn't the fact in my teens, my twenties or even my thirties. I have so much confidence now and I love myself. I know who I am so much better these days.
I guess what I'm saying is that it's important to celebrate milestone birthdays and not worry so much about each year that passes but to celebrate the years.
