I participated in True Scrap (a couple of the classes) then I looked outside and it was too beautiful to be indoors so I went to Disneyland for a few hours.

I am not able to sleep. I was in a car accident in Zjune that messed up my back and left shoulder so on days I work (usually Fri Sat Sunday (with an occasional thurs or Monday thrown in) I'm in a lot of pain by nighttime. Therapy is helping but im still unable to lift my left arm! The extent of my raising is if I was going to swear (like in court) you know put one hand on bubbly raise other. Anyway the Dr won't refil my pain medicine so she is referring me to pain management. Really? The pain medicine situation is crazy nowadays. I got 40 pills (Percocet 5mg) the day of the accident June 12. On August 20 I got a refill of 40 more. I ran out last week and went to Dr who said she wouldn't refil them. Really? I am still in a lot of pain. Had a fractured bone and severe back pain. Is taking 1 pill at night only on days I work and then only if I need it making me an addict? Wow. My cousin abuses pain pills she takes 40 a week when she can con s Dr or afford to buy them off the street. Why is it so hard to get a little relief. To top it off she tells me to stop taking ibuprofen too because it's bad for my stomach/liver. Ok so Aleve does nothing for me. You won't give me a pain pill. And now I can't take Motrin? Hence the wine...guess my liver will have to deal with it! I gotta get some sleep! I'm going to pain management on Monday. We will see what he says:/ I guess this turned into a vent. Lol wine makes me chatty and DH is not in the mood for chit chat

I'm finally sitting down and relaxing. I baked all day today and my feet ache!!! So DH and I are just catching up on some Big Bang Theory episodes. Glad you're getting a chance to relax! What did you bake? 6 loaves of banana bread 2 loaves of banana chocolate chip bread 1 pumpkin loaf 2 of Yvonne's apple bread 1 chocolate chip slice oatmeal chocolate chip cookies snickerdoodles I had zucchini loaves on my list as well, but strangely enough, couldn't find any zucchinis at the grocery store. DS will drop by tomorrow and I'll send him home with a couple of the loaves and some cookies. The rest will last DH and I for quite awhile, so I won't have to bake again until probably December!

I got caught up watching my tv shows that aired this week. I have been so lazy all day. I was going to color my hair but it required me to get off the couch. I don't get days like this so I am really indulging in it. Now that it's late I'm in the mood to turn out all the lights and watch a scary movie. I just finished watching Outbreak so I'm off to a good start! ;-)

It was a "little" sort of day around here. A little rain this morning, a little sun this afternoon, did a little laundry, a little grocery shopping, a little cooking, a little washing up and then watched a little Game of Thrones. Doing a little surfing now and then it's off to bed in a little while!

Let's see if this works. The ribbon is pink...this was right after it was done and I was bleeding. It's on the inside of my forearm. Thanks for the picture! That is beautiful and meaningful.

I bought a food saver a couple of weeks ago. So I put all of the loaves in the freezer last night (just wrapped in saran and popped in a freezer bag, and now that they're frozen hard, I'll use the food saver to do the airtight seal thing.

Is medical marijuana an option? This was my primary care Dr. I found out today (small town) that she had a patient a month ago that was getting drugs from several Dr in town. New prescription tracking system. Anyway her office was investigated and while she did nothing wrong she has decided not to do long term pain treatment. I will go to pain management today and see what they say. Is medical marijuana different from regular because when I smoked pot in College it made me nauseated so bad. I tried it a few times and each time it made me sick. Not anxious to try it:)

Is medical marijuana different from regular because when I smoked pot in College it made me nauseated so bad. I tried it a few times and each time it made me sick. Not anxious to try it:) The pain management doctor should be able to prescribe what works for you without the hesitation that a regular doctor has. A reputable one has controls in place to help make sure medications are not abused. They really keep on top of it because they are under such scrutiny these days. (No early refills, periodic pee tests, they only use one pharmacy, etc.) I met a woman at the dog park whose husband owns a medical marijuana store and she was telling me that some medical marijuana has less THC in it than regular and so on. Strictly out of curiosity, I asked my pain doctor about it and he said that studies have shown that basically, medical marijuana just makes the patient not care that they still have pain. I wasn't interested in going that route because not only is it expensive, but I recently saw someone smoke some and I swear his IQ dropped about 20 points when he was high (and that's what I remember the effect was like way back in high school). That's the last thing I need. I know medical marijuana works for some people, but I have nerve damage, so if it works for whatever ails you, then great. It's a YMMV type of thing. No need to jump on me, I'm just relaying what my doctor told me.
