I have two people as Facebook friends that are always posting some nutso governement conspiracy or another. Today it is this one: CDC Whistleblower Exposes Ebola Vaccine Contains RFID Chip (If you want a good laugh click the link and read the comments...wow!) The same person that put that one up also stated that they believe the virus is given to people "in the needle" and not through contact with bodily fluids. Every time something like this is posted it makes me want to bang my head against a wall. Who really believes this stuff?!

Well instead of accepting the vaccine, I'm going to get inoculated with some of Charlie Sheen's 'Tiger Blood' which will render me immune to Ebola.

Who the heck knows???
My mom used to email forward me all this anti government crap until I finally told her to stop. I have no idea if she still forwards that crap to others or if she finally stopped altogether. I just ignore the crazies on Facebook.

I live in an area that is full of people who believe this garbage. I often consider living off the grid just to get away from them. There is way too much stupid in this world!

I'd say your question is easily answered. The person/people posting it believe it or can easily be swayed to believe it. You don't post things you don't believe to be true do you?

I just try and skip right over that stuff w/out giving it any thought. I think some people post that stuff and don't even read it themselves.

I have no patience for that kind of ridiculousness. I unfriend or hide people who post that kind of stuff!

One of my Facebook friends posted a link to an article which stated that Ebola is being spread in Africa by the Red Cross. She actually needed to ask if it was true or not.
How can people be so stupid/gullible/ignorant?

My parents, DH's Uncle and probably some relatives that won't admit it. We try to dispel those as we can, but sometimes they think we have defected to the other side. We are the ones who need to see the light.
My parents got into a discussion about an issue I deal with on a daily basis at work. They still don't believe me even though I reminded them it is my job to know about this every.day. It is the very first time we have not been at least close to the same side.

How can people be so stupid/gullible/ignorant? I've seen that one too, posted by the same person. I guess the better question is how can people be so gullible? This is not a person I would normally, in typical everyday offline interactions, consider to be gullible or stupid. She is older, but not super old, but perhaps she buys into the "it's online so it must be true" line of thinking.

I think it's more about the "it's what I want to believe so it must be true" line of thinking. I have an elderly friend who sends this stuff around all the time. He took me off his email list for a while because I kept Snopse-ing him. When confronted, he claims he doesn't really believe it all (he's a retired lawyer and should know better) but it's just kind of fun.

There are people who have differing opinions from mine and that I enjoy. Then there are the people who actually believe nonsense AND feel compelled to pass it on to everyone that they know. I have eliminated several of the nonsense spreading types from my life. I just didn't know they were that out of touch with reality and when I found out, I just wanted them gone. The several people on this board who try to spread that stuff, I don't read their posts anymore. They have proved to me they have nothing of value to share.

I know a couple and I just shake my head. I also know a couple who won't believe anything that goes against something they believe to be true even with evidence. I shake my head at them too.

I shake my head at both types on my fb feed, fortunately, none of them are quite this radical, but I do wonder about some of the stuff that they post. I wonder sometimes if some of them post this type of drivel just to see if they can get a rise out of folks!

I have a coworker who is smart as a whip, but is one of the most gullible people I have ever met. She has gotten ripped off so many times by obvious charlatans, it's really sad. It's also somewhat... bizarre to see someone so smart who is yet so gullible. I don't know what she's "missing", as it were, that makes her unable to see what is before her.

I mean they (general governmental big brother they ) will let me as their parent access the chip info right? Perfect 2/1 bogo deal if you ask me. Hey, does anyone know if my insurance will cover this?
